Somehow this was in my recommended and I have fallen into some sort of trail cam rabbit hole, I’ve been watching them for 2 straight hours. Absolutely fascinating! I also have a complete obsession with moose, never really got a sense of how large they were until I watched these videos! lol.
You're not supposed to get close to them, but the one time I was on a canoe trip in Algonquin just me and my dad, and we were paddling through a lake that narrowed into a marsh and then a stream. There was only one way to go, and there was a moose floating in the water, just munching on the lilies or whatever. We had to paddle right by it, got within three feet of it. Can't describe how incredible that felt. Happened circa 15 years ago, and I still remember it like yesterday. Same trip, we had otters follow alongside our canoe through one of the streams. Algonquin is something else.

@@Michael-ut1lgWe probably have the most unique diverse creatures in the World being an isolated Continent, l had some Gorgeous Yellow crested cockatoos today on front fence actually and Ring tailed and Brush tailed possums daily which are very different from your Opossum. Wallabies also live next door on the Golf course.

yup, that's what most trial cams do... they were made for hunters, so that they could know when the animal (a deer for example) comes through their hunting spot... they sell boatloads of these contraptions to hunters..
I was watching another person's trail cam vid, about wildlife walking back and forth over a log bridge, and the wild cat (possibly also a lynx?) in that vid was the only creature who really * saw * the camera and came up to it. Now that I've seen two separate wildcats do the same thing in two people's videos it confirms things about their intelligence, curiosity and observational skills as opposed to other wildlife..
Carissa Conti I think it speaks to their sense of sight and hearing. I thought maybe it was the sense of smell that made him check it out. But upon further research it was probably a mechanical noise of a glare of the Lens that made him check it out.
at 4:10 of the video....a pine marten!!! I wasn't expecting to see one. Great catch on your camera there. We have fisher here in Wisconsin, and plenty of those. At 13:35 is that a bobcat or a lynx? Looks like a bobcat i think. Edit: i got my answer- it was a bobcat, because at 30:54 is a Lynx and there is no doubt a difference between the two. Wow...great footage!!! A wolf with a collar on it at 31:25 . Very interesting. Also love seeing the grown of the moose antlers as we progress through the summer and autumn.
I love watching the bears. They seem so curious and playful and fearless. It's interesting that I've never, in watching a bunch of these trail cams, heard a wolf howl, or make any sound, really. I know these are mainly coyotes or wolf coyote hybrids. I've never even heard them yip or bark, but there was one moment where they were whimpering, noticing something when they got close to camera.
Surprisingly the smaller the pack size the less they do it, since a howl is a very large sound it attracts attention and is usually only used by larger packs as a way of gathering a large number of individuals quickly for a hunt or social activity

Magnificent wildlife! Moose have the longest legs. Enjoyed seeing the young ones. Deer are so graceful. The bears were huge. Great to see the bobcat. My favorite wild cat. The porcupine was adorable.

Such beautiful wildlife! The colouration of the Wolf around 26 minutes in is incredible. I also love seeing the Lynx at 31 minutes, I caught a glimpse of one for a brief moment last year, in Algonquin’s backcountry. I just saw their back legs and tail disappear into the bush as I rounded a bend in the trail. I spent lots of time tracking Wolves on that trip, and though I heard them howl close by I never got to see one. Thanks for sharing these videos! I would love to know the area they’re from, some of the scenes look familiar
As a child, my Dad brought us camping to Algonguin Park many summers. We would wait until early evening to watch the black bears eat at the dump. Many wonderful memories..Thank you for sharing your video.

Amazing camera footage. Like the seasonal progression. Those antlers grow fast. Did I see a moose eating Birch leaves? Now I am an expert on Wolf toilet etiquette. LOL. Love to see those bears scratching on those trees, almost wish I could do that from time to time.
My parents used to take me camping at Algonquin Park when I was a kid in the 50's and 60's there were so many lakes and camp ground there. The water was so clear and warm to swim in. It was simply gorgeous there. Wow those wolfs were huge and the moose and baby were cool to see. Great video. Thankyou❤
one time a moose wandered into my yard and my mom chased it down the street to stop traffic for it. i've been obsessed with them ever since. they're so much bigger than they have any right to be, and they're so graceful... how they move amongst the trees should be impossible.... theres a video of an 11 foot tall moose in Anchorage, it's amazing. [also from new england.... so much wildlife..... everywhere]
I always find enjoyment in watching wildlife from other places around the world. Although we are on the same continent & we share a lot of species, there are so many we don't get to see in Texas. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for sharing Nature at its best. So sorry we didn't have a camera to record our homesite when we first bought our acre in the middle of nowhere. I'm from Texas and even though our creatures aren't exactly the same they are equally beautiful. We had coyotes, gray fox, badgers, deer, javelina, bobcats, racoons, jack rabbits and yes, the ever so popular opossum and so many different birds. Now we are surrounded by apartments, a huge shopping mall, a theatre, warehouses, a porta potty company and a hotel. Wow, the things we take for granted. Thought it would last forever.😢. Better enjoy it while we can. So thank you again for sharing. Keep recording and God bless.

The moose are always very elegant, the rabbits run around like crackheads, and the wolves...well they pee on everything..

Black bears are bigger up north than down south. But they're rather small compared to brown bears, especially the coastal brown bears.

Thank you for sharing Nature at its best. So sorry we didn't have a camera to record our homesite when we first bought our acre in the middle of nowhere. I'm from Texas and even though our creatures aren't exactly the same they are equally beautiful. We had coyotes, gray fox, badgers, deer, javelina, bobcats, racoons, jack rabbits and yes, the ever so popular opossum and so many different birds. Now we are surrounded by apartments, a huge shopping mall, a theatre, warehouses, a porta potty company and a hotel. Wow, the things we take for granted. Thought it would last forever.😢. Better enjoy it while we can. So thank you again for sharing. Keep recording and God bless.
