Peace Emily, I enjoy you page for learning new perspective and tools --- I have subscribed and each time you drop a video I learn something new or it bridges a gap in some other areas--Thanks--
@@mikedeproducer of course! You can mix any style or genre! LUNA/Universal Audio has a lot of analog emulation features that can make gospel sound really full, rich and lush.
Also i tried mixing a song in LUNA with about 70 audio tracks, as i started mixing to an extent, my audio started glitching, i checked my buffer size and have 16gb ram with an HDD 750gb, how can i fix that?
@@mikedeproducer are you using a lot of plugins? I know that can get overloaded with certain systems. This can also depend on your dsp power. I do use a satellite for more dsp power.
P3ac3!!! Also try upgrading to a SSD Drive which is all around faster; 1TB preferably but get what you can. And if I can suggest maybe try 32gb instead of 16.; it'll help with songs with lots of tracks .. This is should help... P3AC3 N LOV3!
Do you think Luna is underrated? I find it amazing considering it is free and feels optimized for Apple Silicone, and monthly updates is incredible. I feel like I would buy the Pro version to support them. 4 updates from Avid this year so far, one being a x.x.1 update....
@@cosmicsimonmusic I do think it’s underrated. Especially that it is free. And I think they have a great digital “analog workflow” and sound. I started out on Pro Tools too and the workflow is almost identical so that makes it more appealing to me. I know what you mean about Avid. I bought it when you got a “perpetual license”. Then when they changed that to no more updates… wasn’t really perpetual anymore. I pay once a year to have updates. But I’m not sure that deal was extended to others who didn’t keep it current with their license. Also shitty.
@@emily_bowie I am glad I am not crazy, I see so many people ignoring that, I think it is resistance to change. Anyway, thank you for your two cents and the great content!
@@emily_bowie I just finished my first mix using Luna, I really like it more than I thought I would. Love how it handles sends and side chains and other aspects of the mixer. It feels ergonomic and the buttons are nice. Never adopter a DAW so quickly.
Thanks Emily. I use M/S often, but very selectively. Appreciate your wonderful channel.
