Your first tip. “Go to the UA Audio support and there it is how to set it up, and bam! was up and running …. I am getting better at asking for directions 😅. Hi I have an issue with audio suite in the latest version of pro tools on the latest sequona Mac. The plug ins works but the render is not working on any plugin . If I put it on a track it works . I think it’s a bug cause it’s not supported on the latest Mac. Any thought ?

Hi Emily - discovered your channel today and working my way thru your videos. In this video at 5:20 you explain that the Drum Room track was routed 'automatically' to your Rooms bus. How can you set up a template so that imported tracks get automatic routing to the correct busses / aux channels?

I have ignored WAVES for awhile now - their marketing practices drove me NUTS (UA... I'm looking at you...), and I felt like they were resorting to gimmik-y plug-ins, rather than professional tools for awhile. This is the first thing they've put out in a long time that has gotten my attention. I really like the visual feedback of this as opposed to the Soothe plug in (which I use a lot).

i never got this issue until i updated to Sonoma.. i can have a session with only 4 audio tracks, and 2 aux’s. ℹ constantly get the error in every session now, and I’m working off a 2 year old Macbook Pro, An External SSD, & Pro Tools Ultimate, It Makes Me Angry, Because I Spent A lot Of Money On Good Hardware To Avoid Issues Like This. Before One Of You Smart Asses Try To Be Condescending About My Chosen Hardware, This Just Recently Started Happening To Me, I’ve Thrown Heavy Workloads At My Computer With A Regular Hard Drive, And Didn’t Get Errors. I Think Updating The Plugins Could Be Effecting It Also. I Run Into The Same Issues On FL Studio Too, And I Have All My Sound Bank’s And Virtual Instruments On My SSD. It Sucks Because When I Pirated/Stole Software And Plugins, I Had No Crashes. Now I’m Thousands Of Dollars Invested, And Can Barely Mix A Session Because Of The Constant Crashes. I’m Building My Next Computer

They did, but I still do not understand the obsession with resonance suppression. Music is a collection of resonances after all. I get it, there are some really nasty ones but the can always be eliminated with a FF Pro Q3.

Hey Emily, this is a great video. Just wondering if you have any on panning in a three piece band? I know some people hard pan doubled guitar takes, but sometimes that seems too 'big' when you'd rather just have a raw three-piece sound. But it's also sort of hard to balance symmetrically with one guitar track only. Not sure what you balance opposite it. On stage, it would be bass left, guitar right, but I'm not sure if that would be lop-sided in headphones.

I've watched a lot of tutorials on vac's, buses, and folders, and I have set them up using different groups, such as guitars, drums, vocals ect. My question is, when using any one of these groups, why does your gain level go down. In other words, when routing all the drums to a buss or a folder or a vca, why do you lose over all volume. Is this just something that is inherent of using these types of grouping tracks? If some one could explain I would really like to know why. If this is something that is just by default, is there anyway to over ride it?

I have both and use both, but the Abbey Road is clearly the one in this application.

Hello Emily, just wanted to rephrase my question since it looks pretty crazy, I just wanted to know if there is any possible chance that you could change the color of the actual track name, I had a friend that came over and was helping me with all the steps that you told us, and I’m able to change the background, the regions and I’m guessing all the sins and stuff like that, but my main question is, how can you change the actual color of the track name? Is there anyway of doing so and if so, can you explain it step-by-step so I am able to follow along with my screen reader software really really appreciate it. I’m using Mac by the way.

I am a visual impaired individual and with help with a friend he showed me what you demonstrated here, but question, can you actually Chan the track name color, example AUDIO1 or is their no way? I use a screen read from Apple so if there is a way, just esp lain step by step as best as you can so it would help my future sessions in the future. Thanks for everything Emily😉

I purchased this template months ago. I have not gone to school for engineering, and I could not get it to work for me......at first. A few weeks ago I finally got a descent grasp of tracking as far as pre-amp gain goes. Now when I use this template it's sounds professional even before I start mixing.

For those that have the Apollo X8 thunderbolt two, don’t forget that you have the option to switch out the thunderbolt two card to a thunderbolt three option card and it will make your system up-to-date a lot faster, and you’re able to add more plug-ins I’ve done that to my system and it was a amazing investment only $200

I already had a Apollo X8 but wanted to add onto my Mike preamp so got a Apollo twin X quad plus a universal audio Apollo satellite octo for more DSP power when mixing and of course it’s so portable as well. I cannot complain this by far has been amazing and just like Emily said the converters are amazing and you could truly do some amazing work.🎶

I have been able to go basically full time from mixing for this past year and a half, and the tips and workflow you share have really shaped the way I approach mixing and given me that final layer of practicals to be able to do this professionally.
