To prevent long Autoplay sessions, keep in mind that:
If you're connected to a mobile network and have been inactive for 30 minutes, Autoplay won't start.
If you're on Wi-Fi, Autoplay will stop automatically after 4 hours.

Can you help me? There isn't an autoplay toggle. There is no autoplay under the settings. There is no autoplay on the channel I'm trying to watch. Two days ago it autoplayed all on its own. Yesterday and today no autoplay. I've never once, whether it be in the app or through Google Chrome, on my TV, on my laptop or anywhere else, seen an autoplay button. It's very annoying to have to stop what I'm doing and go click next video. Please help me if you can. I'm technologically illiterate.

I used to be able to set all videos I watch "OFF" for auto-play on my desktop. Apparently that option isn't there anymore?
Once I shut auto-play off, during that session of watching, it's off. But if I close my browser (Firefox) and re-open the browser to go to TH-cam again, the auto-play is back on. I find this extremely frustrating. I'm a very picky video watcher.
and now the auto-play starts before the video ended.

Auto play in TH-cam Short? Any advice?

I want to turn on the autoplay on my computer, but my videos dont show me any button like the one in the video where i could switch it on. Can anyone help me?
The autoplay toggle switch is no longer showing up on desktop for some reason. The switch you show in the video simply isn't there on desktop. What can we do to stop autoplay on desktops now?

Like everyone else is saying, the Toggle Switch is no longer visible on the lower right of the media player screen for desktop users. It's also not in the settings. Now I can't stop autoplay on any video here. What should I do?

@@f0x4nn3 I fixed it. I had to uninstall Firefox, go to TH-cam, turn off the Toggle switch (that finally showed up), then sign in (which makes it disappear again). After that, re-install all of my extensions.
FYI: the extensions were not the problem, cause I disabled them first to test, and that did nothing.

This week the autoplay icon has disappeared for me when I'm watching in Chrome using the watch later playlist. It shows up fine when not using watch later.

Ah yes. The ONE feature I turn off the moment I see it. And everyone I encounter is confused and frustrated when they finish a video and suddenly it autoplays a video they DID NOT WANT. Conersations and presentations has to halt because this feature defaults to on. And since most people dont have Premium membership on youtube. What gets played automatically is not just a seemingly unrelated video. But also a LOUD and obnoxious advertisement. So as soon a video finishes it bevomes a mad dash to hit cancel.
I had no idea someone actually wants this feature turned on for anything but a curated playlist where you explicitly want videos to play as a series.
As you just explained, this feature is good for ad-revenue. That's the only thing that matters.
BTW, In playlists the videos play one after another, without delay and without any means to turn off the auto-play.
It's really frustrating.

it is good for my adult son who is disabled and just wants to set it and forget it so it plays for a while until I can come check back on him. He watches series, so when one is over I want the next one to start without having to mess with it.
Yeah, it's not good if some inappropriate content for kids plays automatically after the video that you watch.
It is even worse for users of Waterfox Classic. TH-cam somehow removed the button altogether for users of that browser, which means that it is now impossible for me to turn that feature off on that browser....

I have an autoplay concern which has been annoying me for months now. Suppose I go into my feed and make a queue of videos. *I'm talking about the web experience here for full context.* Cool, now I open the queue to watch videos and *lo and behold* the autoplay icon IS NOT EVEN THERE. *YET* with the absense of the autoplay toggle, it is on by default and some suggested video plays after the last video in my queue. Not only does the video then get added to the queue, but since it is a video which I "watched", it then also influences the algorithm in choosing which videos to show me in the future. TH-cam *PLEASE* make a change to this. Every single time I make a queue of videos, autoplay is on without me even having the ability to turn it off...
Also curious how the presenter invited questions and comments in the comments section and then *is completely absent* in the replies. TH-cam WE NEED ANSWERS.

I have music playlist I like to listen to using the autoplay so I don't have to constantly hit, next. I noticed recently that for some reason certain songs won't go to the next song on my list, and it's not the pause that TH-cam does, it just won't switch, yet, other songs have no problem switching to the next song. Why is this? Does anyone know?

This didn't work for me, What a discovered is that if you are unlogged, the auto play button spawns at the same place as ever, if you log in, it disappears.

I have too many problems with video upload. My wifi is fine and is the same as before, and the file types are the same as before. You will never get a answer from TH-cam and they really don't care what people think or say. The first thing you learn at the TH-cam uni center lol is to answer every comment 😂 😂 😂
There are many reasons why that may have happened:
1-Perhabs since background music had some kind of weird copyright. For example, the music that the popular TH-camr Mumbo Jumbo used at the end of his video's wasn't copyrighted on its own, but used a sound which was. Even though the artist has received permission to use it in his creation and even though he had given Mumbo permission to use the song, he couldn't give him permission to use the sound with which the song had been created, which they didn't know but would later cause most of Mumbo's videos to get demonetised (or to have their money given to a company, idk).
2-Perhabs you are indeed right and nothing at all had copyright. Some companies just go arround claiming stuff that isn't theirs because almost nobody had the money or the guts to go to court over it.
3-Perhabs an algorithm just detected something wrong.
Solutions:
1-After making sure there is no copyrighted material, take any legal means necessary that you can afford. If you win, you may get them to pay for your expenses (such as your lawyer or your travelling to the U.S.).
2-Copyright your own videos properly. There's a tutorial on it already. Make a small clip of a piece of music, use a discography to automatically detect and claim videos that contain it (you should be able to get 80%-90% of the money). You now only need to add this to your videos. If they get copyright claimed by another company, you will still get roughly half of the profits. This also allows you to use actually copyrighted content with less repercussions. It also could make it easier for you to receive strikes, though, so be careful.
3-Just continue uploading videos. Perhabs try to get a sponsorship.

How could i make auto play off for downloads video list ????
Is there a way to setup AutoPlay to play related videos from different channels? It keeps playing all the videos from the same channel...so frustrating!
Up until three days ago I could play music "mixes" and they would automatically play one video after the other. Then it just stopped functioning that way and stops at the end of each video. I found the auto-play toggle on a non-music video and turned it on but when I start a music "mix" the toggle switch disappears from the video frame as the video fully loads. The videos in the "mix" do not automatically play.
As it is now, music "mixes" that don't auto-play are totally useless.
3 months later and its still broken. thanks youtube.
@@funnykai1 For some reason it began working again for me a few days after I posted. I did nothing to make it change. I hope the problem clears up on your computer/browser/youtube-account. Whatever the heck is causing it.

Autoplay is on, but it won't autoplay. The next song will play for about 2 seconds, stops, and then I get this message on the screen: "Playback is paused because your account is being used in another location."
But my account is not being used in another location.

I recently reported someone for have 1K self promoting spam comments on a video, and they sent a false harassment claim after I said I was reporting them for it (I did not say anything impolite, just saying I was reporting them for it)

Dear TH-cam,
I don’t wanna watch the same videos over and over. I seriously have spent hours just telling TH-cam that I’m not interested in the video because I’ve already watched it and I’ve seen the same videos pop up over and over. Sad thing is is it’s a common issue and TH-cam doesn’t even respond to the feedback on their dedicated feedback site. This tells me that they know that the problem is there but they don’t care and/or it is too profitable to change it for some reason. Really aggravating because I used to love watching the recommendations I get from a certain video until I would start getting recommendations for a totally different subject or just the “weird” side of TH-cam.
Now I just get the same damn crap all the time even if I clear my search history and watch history or try to tell youtube what I don’t like. Honestly I don’t think telling them that I’m not interested in a channel or a video does a damn thing anymore…

The autoplay option doesn't work for desktop anymore and there are no other guides to get this to work. If someone finds a fix, please let me know!
I just wanted to ask about one simple thing: who gets to decide which videos get age restricted/demonetised/placed in the different age categorioes for ads/eliminated?
It seems as though one worker is enough to make such a decision, and so I'd like to now point out to the reader the faults of such a system:
If a worker were to have a biass towards a specific content creator, this would result in their videos getting demonetised regularly for no reason. In this hipothetical case, there would be no repercussions for that worker.
Now for the (rather obvious) solution: just have videos be reviewed by more than one staff member.
I don't really expect to get a reply or anything, but hey, at least I tried.
Recently a video by content creator Dalas from the channels _DalasReview_ , _WhaTheGame_ and others got his most recent video which talked about TH-cam censorship age restricted, when there were, demonstrably, no nudity-cointaining or blood/bodily fluid-containing scenes. This is actually agains freedom of speech in a sense.
Anyway, if anyone has made it this far, thanks for reading, sincerely.

Meanwhile you don't provide any ability to add or remove the categories shown as "of interest" to me when I visit the YT home screen. On mobile you give no ability to "play all" videos from a channel, as you can on desktop, and have frozen the questions relating to that, unanswered, in the help forum. Autoplay is one YT feature that makes the platform horrific - I turn it off constantly, only to discover it's been turned on somehow later, without my choosing.

Imagine choosing to destroy a piece of art that someone has worked so hard on, over the many of abusive and questionable videos you currently have uploaded onto your site.
