I just discovered your Channel, thank you for promoting & supporting our Filipino Culture, I grew up in Los Angeles, California and I heard it all; negative connotations about our culture. It was painful but what stuck in my mind was what my parents always told me; our culture is beautiful, we are kind, caring, compassionate & hardworking people & respectful of others. Be proud to be a Filipino & don’t forget where you came from.
Many Filipinos in the US say they are proud to be PINOYS but most of their children who were born and raised there doesn't even know how to speak the Language. for the past 18 years ko sa NYC, wala pa akong na meet na pamilya na marunong mag salita ng pinoy dialect ang mga anak.. mabuti pa ang mga ibang lahi, ang una nilang tinuturo sa kanilang mga anak ay ang sariling Wika... " Language is the most important part of Cultural identy"...
Tumpak... Ang pinakanakakainis pag yang mga anak nila eh ssabihing proud to be Pinoy..
Ever wonder why many rich people become philanthropists? Seeing a smile and joy helping people is what gives meaning and purpose to life realizing how blessed they are,for unfortunate people are happy and content with just enough of what they have. Material things doesn’t make a person and surely not the barometer of success but character and compassion does.
You have a good heart But dont be fooled, most of them became a 'philanthropist' to evade paying taxes and worse, for money laundering. I know a lot of people.
I’m working and living here in the USA and one of my coworkers asked me if I am a Filipino and I said “ Yeah, I am a Filipino in thoughts, in words and in deeds”. Proud Pinoy here.💖Pilipino ako! 😍

Nice! in my case its different. i already loved being Filipino and the first time I got out of the country, i found deep appreciation for the Philippines from the foreigners I met and its the same everywhere i travelled..and that made me even love being Filipino more.
As a Filipino, born and raised in the Philippines, it helps to travel abroad. In the few countries I have visited, most of which are far more industrialized, developed and urbanized nations, I always come home with renewed appreciation, love and gratitude for being Filipino. Yes, we are a poor nation, but I haven't experienced the warmth, energy, sense of community and happy vibes from any other countries. When you experience other cultures, it makes you love your own country more. After all, its not all about the comfort and the conveniences of living. Its the feeling of being surrounded with people filled with positivity, respect and concern for others

Philippines is not a poor nation ,it’s just our corrupt leaders made our economy and social status look poor about Filipinos that’s why though we our in the progress of being civilized , high rise building and good economy ….our corrupt leaders made this country being behind
What an inspiring words about us, Filipinos! When I came to America I become more of a Filipino! I hold Philippines deep in my heart forever! We are the race of humanity!!!
Im born and raised as FILIPINO❤❤❤ It always in my heart and soul, no matter where I go around the globe! I always love my home my motherland my country soil THE PHILIPPINES🇵🇭❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
It is heart melting to know your story as someone who discovered your heritage, cultures and values and eventually live it so much and appreciate being a Filipino.May this serves as an inspirations to other people with Filipino heritage whom others had already forgotten, cast away, ashamed maybe of having their roots to go back and discover how awesome ourcultures, values and traditions.
We have this song and one of the lines said "Tawanan mo ang iyung problema" meaning Laugh at your problem. Laughter is a medicine, also Filipinos are fond of singing and it's good for health. It's therapeutic. Another factor is its all about our faith in God. He said , contentment is great gain, if you have food , shelter and clothing, be contented, do not worry about tomorrow for you don't know what it brings. You might not even live tomorrow. He also said, rejoice in everything and be grateful. So despite being lacking , we have joy in our hearts because God is in there. These material things in this world won't really satisfy us.
When your away from the Philippines for more Than 30 years ….this is the true feeling of missing our roots ,where you from and thru social media your proud to shout I’m a Filipino ,especially if I read some article that our fellow Asian countries tried To look us down and thyre more superior in some aspect . I believe as Filipino we are great people all over the world
As a Filipino mom to 2 beautiful (half Pinay/half American) daughters, I am always proud of my culture. My girls are not ashamed to tell teachers or friends that they are Pinoy; which I corrected them all the time to not forget about them being half American as to not erase the cultural identity of their dad.
I am half Chinese & half Filipino but I have lived 52 years of my life here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 . Whenever I am asked if I am a Filipino, my answer is always a big YES! I am proud to be a Filipino & will always be! Mahal ko ang aking Inang Bayan! ❤️🇵🇭💯
My eyes felt it when he said "There's this, like, thing that I was feeling about them and could NEVER EXPLAIN what it was, but it made me HAPPY and it made me feel GOOD.." "It was the day I became FILIPINO" - It felt so warm ♥ #justsharing
It is good you found your way tô your identity. I am here in Brazil more that 30 years in humanitarian mission. I turned naturalized citizen to teach my Kids the love of the country as loving oneself. I could embrace another nationality as a natural consequence of growth, but be ashamed to be filipino, never.
This teared me up. I think the most main reason why a filipino will go out of his country to explore the unknown is because of the love he has for the family he leaves behind, to seek for greener pastures so he can provide for them. Mostly for economic reasons. And that is why we have the so called “OFW”. They would endure all the challenges they encounter, adapt very well and would even learn to speak the language of the countries they embrace. This adaptability or resilience is very much ingrained in filipino culture. Maybe because of what Philippines had gone through like being conquered by other countries and the countless natural calamities that came and left people to live in poverty. Yet with nothing, they can still put a smile on their faces and hear their laughter in the midst of adversities. And this beautiful pinoy trait is abused by the powers that be. Not that filipinos do not hate corruption but it lingers because filipinos stopped believing in their government and take their destiny into their hands, hence, the flight out into other countries, a circumstantial choice. Empathy or compassion is something a Pinoy can apply easily because they know what hardships and to have nothing mean. Of course there are exceptions but that is what i see in most that’s why I am proud to be a Filipino.. We maybe third world but very advanced in humanity. Bawal kumontra! Hahaha
Mabuhay! Thank you creating this channel and sharing the heart of the Fiipinos. I was born in Manila and raised in San Diego, CA, it was challenging as a child trying to fit in and belong. However, my parents retained their culture and I love being Filipino. We are multi-talented and very hospitable people. Kapwa is a wonderful foundation which is in the Bible, love your neighbors as you love yourself. Maraming salamat!

Watching your story and feelings about Pilipino, make me CRY at the end you realized that you have a Pilipino blood running in your veins and became PROUD OF IT.❤
In terms of being humane, Filipinos are more of this kind. I am now an American citizen. I still don’t call USA my country & will never be. Why? Because my values remain intact. Respectful & more humane. ❤️
the Philippines just like any other country is imperfect...it may not be the best in international standards but it's home and it is where my heart belongs. as an OFW, I wish living conditions would improve and that the time would come that we will no longer need to leave the country for better pastures in other lands. i live and breathe the Filipino spirit...I'm proud to be Pinoy
Thank you kapatid. I struggled with telling my story for the longest time. My love for my people and my love for God drove me to do it. Hope you enjoy the series.🙏🏽❤️🇵🇭
My first time to see this video, I come to Hawaii 1990 I was 14 yrs old I’m proud who I I’m I never forget my national anthem.i become American but my heart in my soul are Filipino, IM PROUD , IM FILIPINO. SIR THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS, IM SO GLAD YOUR EMBRACE FOR WHO YOU ARE…….
0MG, I've got a new favourite channel! At 63 I'm gonna share this to my grandchildren, so they'll learn why we the elders are so proud to be FILIPINO despite just living a simple life. ❤❤❤
Finally! A material that I can share not only to my students & fellow teachers but also to my friends all around the world! Thank you for this project!
I moved from the Philippines to the US for greener pastures but this is also where I have felt being filipino the most. I missed our home, the people, the beaches, my neighbors, and the celebrations that join family and friends together. The US is beautiful but Philippines is my sanctuary.
WORLD KNOW the TRUE SOUL & SIPIRT OF THE FILIPINOS, thanks to bloggers like you. . .WITH ALL THE HARDSHIPS PINOYS REMAIN PROUD. . . .you can take that to the bank!!!
Im glad to hear you value your heritage now. Im American and enjoy being with the common people 4:45 and visiting the Philippines. Going back next month! To spend time with my fiancées family!!
I’m naturalized American for 34.5 years, I’m always proud to say I’m from Philippines. My 2 half American kids, growing up they’re proud and saying they’re from Philippines even both were born and raised here in the US.
I didn't finish the video and I was very emotional. Being Filipino is rooted in the Blood, it is rooted in the Heart. that's why many Filipinos are patriotic and there are also many who don't understand especially other Filipinos who are in other countries...They say to stop the word "Proud to be Pinoy" in the comments. Now, you can't blame because even before the generation, the Pride of being Pinoy has been in the Blood. Pinoys are different from other Races, not because I'm Filipino because it's in the Heart and something different is stamped in our Blood.
Growing up influenced by what I saw in movies, tv series, the books I've read, I wanted to be an American. I felt like I was dealt the short end of the stick. As I became an adult, I realized how much we women were treated equally and fairly in the Philippines. I've seen women being beaten in the streets in Japan and forced to stop working once they've married. I've read and watched about women in China, India and other countries treated as second class citizens, males preferred over females, sons favored over daughters. Though still in a culture that is Macho, women are still more respected here. And that is why I've stayed put in my own country. Ang sarap maging Pinoy!
True. Not being feminist or woke, cause I really don't like that mentality, women here in our country are quite lucky, not all but mostly. I love how respect is being taught here, and I still love how men treat women here. That's why I always give respect to the man I am with. It's not perfect because there is no such thing, but it's okay, enough to feel that you are loved and respected in return. If you look at Korea and how women are treated there, you'd be grateful you live in the Philippines. I also don't like how the women in the west behave themselves, and sadly that kind of mentality is slowly creeping towards our part of the world. Again, not saying all, but mostly.
@@alphsno472Yes! I feel exactly the same way. Pinays are strong women but have kept the femininity. We want to be taken care of, to feel secure and safe, but are not damsels in distress that need saving. In turn, we know how to take care of our men. We value and respect them. Just like our mothers taught us. 😉
I can totally relate to you....born and raised in Canada it was only when i moved to live in Phillipines that i realized how precious our culture and people are...i will forever live and love the way of a pinoy
very moving ... your conversion story is where God calls you for a mission ... You are doing a great job in sharing the mission of God - sharing love ...God bless you .
Well sometimes you learn in hard way ! I'm a Filipino also but accept who you are , I'm in California raise & born in Manila but being me I accept. So be proud of being a Filipino.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings, Tony. Such a heartwarming message for amm Filipinos. Your words gave me more inspiration of being a Filipino and to keep reaching out to people. Gos bless 🇵🇭❤🔥🎉
Yes. Sometimes it takes a foreigner preferring to live here than in the US to make us realize what great countey and people we have. I am glad that you discovered it earlier and now so passionate in spreading the word about how we truly are a great people and country. Thank you.
Thank you for the testimony. I also felt embarrassed growing up as a Filipino American in San Diego (born in 1977) as an immigrant from the Philippines. I went to elementary school somewhere in National City becasue my sted dad worked at the US Navy base on 32nd street.
Inspiring and touching story bro❤…I have been living and working here in Canada for almost 10 years and always miss the cullture, food and the weather of the Philipoines.❤
You just discovered the real pure gold, the Heart of the people. You will almost know why we are unique and special. The Land of the Rising Sun, The Pearl of the Orient, The Islands in the East, My other Flock in this Islands in the East, The finest Smile, The blessed country with exponential next to Israel and it's coming, finally! "The Philippines"!
Thank you for sharing this journey of discovery. You are blessed. We as parents of bi- racial children, must do our best to let our kids get to know and appreciate the Pinoy side of them❤❤❤
This is so beautiful. I’m going back to visit the Philippines this September for the first time in 14 years when I left in 2010. I will be bringing with me my three boys and my husband (who is Caucasian/American). I’m very excited to let my boys see where I grew up, eat the foods I ate and let them meet my extended family and friends. This vacation will be so memorable.
Ever since I left the Philippines I was only 9 years old since then I’m very proud as Pilipino Portuguese, I taught some of my co,workers at work about the Philippines historically I always put the negative things it’s time for every race to understand each others
Who grows up not wanting to be Filipino?? All Filipinos (even children) have an idea how hard it is to live in the Philippines…either you’re ignorant or you’re so “out of your culture”. This story is so unnerving… I guess better late than never to appreciate your heritage, race, and nationality…I guess.🙄 And you believe with such great conviction that your story is so inspiring? I never lost my identity as a Filipina, no matter what turmoil or strife happens in the Philippines…I STAYED LOYAL BECAUSE I’M NOT FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY,…I COME FROM THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY CALLED THE PHILIPPINES…Mabuhay Pilipinas!☺️❤️🙏🇵🇭
The problem is, Filipinos don't want to look back and learn lessons from the past. If we dont acknowlege the wrongs from the past, there is no way, it will always be repeated like what is happening now.

I wholeheartedly agree❤️🇵🇭 Thanks for your support kapatid. Let’s show the world who we really are.
To be a Filipino is really a treasure. There's nothing better than home. We will always end up going back and going back to the family. 🇵🇭
Treasure your Pinoy Pride and Crab Mentality.
Mabuhay ang mga Filipinos! We are a gift to the world by the grace of God.
AMEN 🙏🏽
Ever wonder why many rich people become philanthropists? Seeing a smile and joy helping people is what gives meaning and purpose to life realizing how blessed they are,for unfortunate people are happy and content with just enough of what they have. Material things doesn’t make a person and surely not the barometer of success but character and compassion does.
You have a good heart But dont be fooled, most of them became a 'philanthropist' to evade paying taxes and worse, for money laundering. I know a lot of people.
Agreed kapatid. 🇵🇭❤️
I’m working and living here in the USA and one of my coworkers asked me if I am a Filipino and I said “ Yeah, I am a Filipino in thoughts, in words and in deeds”. Proud Pinoy here.💖Pilipino ako! 😍
Tama yan kabayan be proud as a filipino dhl kaht saang bansa my mga criminals kya wag nla ssbhin n s pinas lng my masama d yan 22o nsa abroad din aq but im proud to say that i'm a filipino ..now filipino is more famous than the other country for being intelligent friendly & smart for everything goodness as an individual🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭👑
Me too. Im Fil -Am and i never forgot where i came from. 😊 😂
I live in London and become British but in my heart I am always a Filipino .
Nice! in my case its different. i already loved being Filipino and the first time I got out of the country, i found deep appreciation for the Philippines from the foreigners I met and its the same everywhere i travelled..and that made me even love being Filipino more.
Poor from the western standard of money, but rich in humanity. ❤️🇵🇭🙏🏽
so true! so true!
Weeeee d nga
Mas ok yung private life

I think 70% ang good pinoys at 30% ang mga marites bully ing getero
😅😅😊😂😂😂😅😅
Philippines is not a poor nation ,it’s just our corrupt leaders made our economy and social status look poor about Filipinos that’s why though we our in the progress of being civilized , high rise building and good economy ….our corrupt leaders made this country being behind
Agree I’ve never been more proud to be a Filipino after a decade of living and working abroad
I am proud being FILIPINO 🇵🇭 kahit saang sulok ng mundo, taas noo kahit kanimo, Ako ay FILIPINO 💗🇵🇭
Being born in a country is a blessing specially with the kindness and hospitality of the Filipinos in spite of their struggles.

I cannot comprehend why THEY ARE HAPPY AND JOYFUL ALL THE TIME - RAIN OR SHINE!!
Simply because they just enjoying of what only they have on that moment but have a huge dream in thier hearts....☺️
We live in the moment, and we choose to be happy and find happiness in every situation, regardless of how difficult it is.
When your away from the Philippines for more
Than 30 years ….this is the true feeling of missing our roots ,where you from and thru social media your proud to shout I’m a Filipino ,especially if I read some article that our fellow Asian countries tried
To look us down and thyre more superior in some aspect .
You’re a great and wise parent. Thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy the series.
Did you teach your kids to speak Filipino though?
I am half Chinese & half Filipino but I have lived 52 years of my life here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 . Whenever I am asked if I am a Filipino, my answer is always a big YES! I am proud to be a Filipino & will always be! Mahal ko ang aking Inang Bayan! ❤️🇵🇭💯
My eyes felt it when he said "There's this, like, thing that I was feeling about them and could NEVER EXPLAIN what it was, but it made me HAPPY and it made me feel GOOD.." "It was the day I became FILIPINO" - It felt so warm ♥ #justsharing
as a filipino, i am guilty of taking my beautiful country for granted. this makes me appreciate philippines more.
Finally an honest Filipino. Most of you are not, full of pride and Crab Mentality.
It is good you found your way tô your identity. I am here in Brazil more that 30 years in humanitarian mission. I turned naturalized citizen to teach my Kids the love of the country as loving oneself. I could embrace another nationality as a natural consequence of growth, but be ashamed to be filipino, never.
Nakakaproud talaga maging Filipino. I am always proud to be a Filipino. 💖
Hahaha
Well said kapatid.🙏🏽🇵🇭
Last few statements 💯
I have always been proud of who I am and where I'm from - the Philippines. Embracing your roots is something tremendously beautiful.

Filipinos are among the most nicest and hospital people I’ve come across
Watching your story and feelings about Pilipino, make me CRY at the end you realized that you have a Pilipino blood running in your veins and became PROUD OF IT.❤
I’m a naturalized American who has been here in the USA for more than 20 years. I still identify as 100% Filipino.
In terms of being humane, Filipinos are more of this kind. I am now an
American citizen. I still don’t call USA my country & will never be. Why? Because my values remain intact. Respectful & more humane. ❤️
Hope I never meet you. You are a problem.
Kudos to you. I Love this because I live here in the Philippines. Simply Awesome.
Thank you brother/kuya Tony. Proud to be your brother, a Filipino too. Salamat kuya!
the Philippines just like any other country is imperfect...it may not be the best in international standards but it's home and it is where my heart belongs. as an OFW, I wish living conditions would improve and that the time would come that we will no longer need to leave the country for better pastures in other lands. i live and breathe the Filipino spirit...I'm proud to be Pinoy
I love being a Filipino - the love, care, culture, hospitality, family bond and faith. As I grow matured, I realized that Filipinos are great...
Mabuhay ka Ton! Be a light for every Filipino
Thank you kapatid. I struggled with telling my story for the longest time. My love for my people and my love for God drove me to do it. Hope you enjoy the series.🙏🏽❤️🇵🇭

This video made me cry, thank you for sharing. We feel the same way.
I moved from the Philippines to the US for greener pastures but this is also where I have felt being filipino the most. I missed our home, the people, the beaches, my neighbors, and the celebrations that join family and friends together. The US is beautiful but Philippines is my sanctuary.
To All - Pilipino, REMEMBER "WHERE YOU BORN, THERE'S YOUR" 💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️

That was moving. Thanks for reminding me it's a great country. It's easy to forget living here.
Pinoys are different from other Races, not because I'm Filipino because it's in the Heart and something different is stamped in our Blood.
brought tears to my eyes. we need leaders like this. the ones who saw what right governing would do to our people.
Exactly! I am grateful to God I was born a filipino. Proud Pinay here!
Thank you for sharing kapatid. I get u.👍🏽🇵🇭
❤❤❤❤❤❤
What an amazing guy with a heart of gold. God bless you and family.
I can totally relate to you....born and raised in Canada it was only when i moved to live in Phillipines that i realized how precious our culture and people are...i will forever live and love the way of a pinoy
very moving ... your conversion story is where God calls you for a mission ... You are doing a great job in sharing the mission of God - sharing love ...God bless you .
there's this innate feeling we all have no matter where we are on this planet...thanks for making us remember
When I listen to your story I was teary eyed amazing. Story about my country. Thank you for feeling that way😊

SALAMAT KAPATID!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings, Tony. Such a heartwarming message for amm Filipinos.
Your words gave me more inspiration of being a Filipino and to keep reaching out to people. Gos bless
🇵🇭❤🔥🎉
For your Canada, Canadians, your lies, and for your fake pride, please go back.
We’ve felt every word Tony said here, it’s very touching speaking about your own experience. It’s very inspiring 👏
Thank you for the kind words. It took me years to finally tell it because there are millions of Tony’s all over the world.
I love this! Thanks for pouring your heart. I’m glad you found your way back to your roots. ❤
Thank u🙏🏽❤️🇵🇭
Thank you for sharing this journey of discovery. You are blessed. We as parents of bi- racial children, must do our best to let our kids get to know and appreciate the Pinoy side of them❤❤❤
Always a proud Filipino wherever I go❤🇵🇭✌️
Whatever happens, I love my country and proud to be a Pilipino.🇵🇭♥️🇵🇭
This is so beautiful. I’m going back to visit the Philippines this September for the first time in 14 years when I left in 2010. I will be bringing with me my three boys and my husband (who is Caucasian/American). I’m very excited to let my boys see where I grew up, eat the foods I ate and let them meet my extended family and friends. This vacation will be so memorable.
Beautiful! Well done TonyO! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Mabuhay ka! - Kuya FG
It’s a family oriented country with grace and love no matter what the circumstances of their lives ❤
Thank You Sir. I am proud to be a Filipino. I was born as a Filipino and I will die as a Filipino.
Walang anuman kapatid🇵🇭🙏🏽
Thank, GOD you finally accepted you are FILIPINO. You can't' deny that, by Blood and BONES you are a FILIPINO.
I was so moved with this story. Wasn't half way yet but already started crying.
A very touching story! Mabuhay ka ser!
Ever since I left the Philippines I was only 9 years old since then I’m very proud as Pilipino Portuguese, I taught some of my co,workers at work about the Philippines historically I always put the negative things it’s time for every race to understand each others
I am always proud to be a Filipino even when I am now living in the US. Eventually I will be back to my beloved country🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Thank you, truly, truly. It is time the world knows our story.
Wow, so touching. I'm glad to hear that there are still Fil-am like you.
Never judge a book by its cover. But I'm glad you're able to get the knowledge from the book. Good for you.
Who grows up not wanting to be Filipino?? All Filipinos (even children) have an idea how hard it is to live in the Philippines…either you’re ignorant or you’re so “out of your culture”.
This story is so unnerving…
I guess better late than never to appreciate your heritage, race, and nationality…I guess.🙄
And you believe with such great conviction that your story is so inspiring? I never lost my identity as a Filipina, no matter what turmoil or strife happens in the Philippines…I STAYED LOYAL BECAUSE I’M NOT FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY,…I COME FROM THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY CALLED THE PHILIPPINES…Mabuhay Pilipinas!☺️❤️🙏🇵🇭
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 She stays loyal to that Philippines!!! That's hilarious!
I'm now a BC more than 20years but I love my country, PHILIPPINES no place like home.
wow I cried and so emotional.... I am A filipino too, and I love my country beyond the challenges ......
Let’s breakthrough the challenges kapatid…the only way is together.🙏🏽🇵🇭❤️
The problem is, Filipinos don't want to look back and learn lessons from the past. If we dont acknowlege the wrongs from the past, there is no way, it will always be repeated like what is happening now.
