    @27:36 While it could technically be considered an exploit, if you get to the slicksters, put a critter dropoff in there, deselect all critters, and "wrangle excess" a rancher dupe can go in there and trap them without plastic (as long as you put a door on it so it becomes a room) and drop them off wherever you want them. Same works for flying critters too!

      I try this in the next episode and couldn't get it to work. May have been a different issue (as the dupes were under some additional challenges ha)

      Maybe they patched it out; admittedly it's been a while since I played (thank you radiation update for breaking my playthrough lol) so I haven't kept up with the patches as much.

    Hahaha, I do thoroughly enjoy these vids. It's good to see that no matter what level you are at the Dupes will find a way to put themselves, or ideally the entire colony, at risk

    17:45 I think that there's almost a difference?
    I want to say that there's the standard crushed variation that you always find on specific asteroids, and then there's the crashed variations that show up as world traits.
    Or maybe the world trait calls them one thing, and the ingame object is called another. I'd need to boot up my game to check.

    The drywall thing is pretty funny. Whole reason we use it in the real world is because it takes less resources to make a sheet of drywall than it does to make a sheet of wood that can serve the same purpose. Drywall mud is oddly really good at sealing things up though, I use the stuff to prototype low pressure air/vac stuff, have to reinforce it to hold any real pressure though. Maybe that was there justification, a backing board and drywall to be strong against pressure.

    For reference, though you've probably learned it in the intervening couple of months, the rocket speed difference is due to the difference in Burden, not in Height. Modules have a Burden stat, and the rocket's total acts as a divisor on its speed.

    i would connect an automation cable from the EtOH reservoirs to the same wire that runs between the batteries and generators or straight up remove the battery with its cable. excess power is not a problem, but less byproducts is!

      @@EchoRidgeGaming also the design could be furtherly optimized. 4 distilleries running nonstop can support a single generator running nonstop,with no automation required. 4 distilleries can be fed by 7.2 domestic arbor trees. The remaining 0.8 can fully feed 8 pips. Efficiency!

    AFAIK radbolt collectors don't stop drawing power with a red automation signal, they stop firing radbolts. Usually I tie automation to a power shutoff to stop burning the 480w

      It does stop drawing power (you can check via current load). Now you don't need the power shutoff :) Good looking out though.

    @4:55 all those hydroponic plots need to be moved over to the right by 1 block. You’re losing 3 branches off the left trees in both ranches which is wasting more water for less wood.

    Drywall doesn't have any decor so using granite is a waste. I tend to use igneous because later in the game you will have an unlimited supply once you tame a volcano.

    Does the bug still exist where that atmosensor doesn't work because that's where they exit the rocket?

    27:50 I landed on that asteroid after deploying the payloads but I can’t open them. What an I doing wrong?

      Sometimes they get buggy. Try to find something else to click on and then trying to select them. You can def open them manually.
