That big with critters getting frozen at the grooming station is a real pain. You can, however, fix it without a restart - if you look carefully you'll see that there's one critter at the station, with its status showing as "being groomed", and not animation happening at all. That's what's holding things up. If you have your dupes wrangle that critter in particular (using Yellow Alert priority can ensure it's the rancher who was trying to do grooming there anyway who does it) it'll unstick the ranch - and sometimes, you can even get away with cancelling the wrangle before it finishes, in who case there isn't even a relocate errand to wait for.
I love oni so much but now they are doing smaller updates more frequently, the updates are going to break so much that I don't think I'd want to jump in. Klei has a nasty habit of causing twice the bugs they fix for each update.
Good morning Echo! I like the new changes to the plug slugs and glad to see you were able to utilize them. Hopefully there won't be too many more bugs to slow down the simulation. Thanks for another great episode!
Once this run is done, I'd love to see you do a minibase series with vanilla ONI. The challenges there are very unique and require a complete rethinking of your usual strategies. I rewatch FJ's playthrough with a minibase every now and then, it would be great to see your version of it.
i would recommend using farm stations with your plants. you can cut the amount of plants required in half. also, you could build a plug slug ranch with permeable tiles at the top to allow hydrogen to flow out. this would make it easier on your system, instead of more automation and piping.
Haven't looked into the specs, but if the smog slugs consume half the mass and produce half the hydrogen, you could just run twice as many of them with no need to have mixed gases or a fancy setup. This would however require a liquid lock if you did so. Another bonus is you would get twice the meat and twice the power output assuming those stats are unchanged with this morph. Also opens the opportunity to create an infinite farm for meat and power gains.
21:06 You got me f*** up with that information. How do the panels NOT produce power at night?. They are EXPOSED to the VACUUM OF SPACE in direct SUNLIGHT (through a window). What?, does the end of that solar system/asteroid belt etc. happen every night where the sun shuts itself off?. i know it's a video game, but for a video game that brings so many, very real elements and properties from this world, that's kinda ridiculous. I haven't managed to have a solar panel array yet and that is Very useful info. Would love to see an in-game lore explanation as to why this is the case tho.
dupes union ..hazzard conditions!! with dimond press location and dups pathing radbolt waiting to snipe some unlucky dupe ,also for plug slug ranch hydrogen can be sorted by making a U shape covered by wall roof and a door (to not allow slugs to enter the chamber) as roderegres design
I was about 300 cycles into a map when the game updated. I thought I could be sneaky and start a new game with the same map seed then added the story traits. The seed changed to have a -C at the end of the seed. I played a 100 cycles and closed the game with the -C on my seed. When I reloaded the game, my seed lost the -C so I dont think I will see the new machines
The minimum specs for ONI listed on steam feel really underpowered. A 2 core running integrated grpahics combined with 4gb of RAM is listed on the store page for context, and that would probably be able to bring you to early-late game but it would really stifle work on your colony
You could just build the ceiling of the slug-ranch out of airflow- or mesh-tiles and pump the hydrogen from a seperate room above them (controlled by an atmo- and gaselement-sensor). That way the slugs will never have long contact with the hydrogen and likely won't mutate. Jack's planetoid has no dirt, but lots of sand, so why not give him a regular (piped) bathroom-loop? You could alse recycle some of his polluted dirt with a simple compost :D. I love this series and your creative solutions, but don't forget about the simple ways ;).
These simultaneously out-of-nowhere and totally-your-fault chaos moments are the best part of ONI :)
You meant to say totally-not-your-fault chaos moments ;)
Love it. *insert Hal fixing the lightbulb vid ;D
I have never seen that video before. Solid gold and completely accurate. haha
Jack needs to get ahold of his Union Rep.
Sadly, Jack has no party line phone :)
This series has been pure chaos, really enjoying it!
I have to applaud the Carl Carlton reference. Well done, sir.
Me: Did he just say bad mamma jamma?
Echo: Did I just say bad mamma jamma?
I guess that's settled then lol
hahaha

Hah, nice.

Def a few bugs this time, nothing hugely altering though. (Other than some rocket renaming and deconstructing stuff)

I have done one offline. This is a good idea.
20:15 - and that's what the "No manual delivery" mod is for. Highly recommend.

The biggest growth are our trees. And unfortunately, farm station doesn't increase the branch growth. Good idea for the others though.

Smog slugs don't produce power :) They only consume gasses and then release them at night.

Haha, imagine the asteroid is rotating on its axis. During its "night time" the asteroid has its back to the sun. Hope it helps :)
@@EchoRidgeGaming >When you are so lost in-game you actually forget how day and night works on earth.
I'll see myself out of this universe.

I do need move the radbolts. Very fair point.
You're frickin adorkable . Do you get much food from a plug slug ranch?
Little bit more complicated as they don't drown in water anymore, so you would have to get creative to get meat.
@@EchoRidgeGaming could be fun though. Might have to give it a try sometime 😃
22:10 - try the Fast Track mod. It speeds up the simulation quite notably.
You can actually cook the omelets without dups. Dropping a raw egg into a very hot environment and it cooks it.
Mind = blown.
good vid echo keep going ❤❤

Wow, plug slugs are now definitely viable if not OP!!
Concur, if you have a metal volcano.
I think you could use mechanised door to release radbolts into lower radbolt research station...
This is a decent idea!
Is the dumbster fire at 15:41 supposed to be the hidden Echo?
Edit: nvm, found the real one
Could a new challenge be made. Slug plug power only (other than the wheels)
echo at 16.43 thinking
Nice!
Is it viable to get a bunch of ugly criers and make a water factory that runs on misery?

Great idea about the ceiling for the slug ranch. Brilliant approach. We will get there with Jack. He isn't staying on dirt.
👍
Hm... actually, all the plug slug changes gave me an idea... mwahaha...😈😈😈

Nice job!
Could you please play mindustry it’s like factorio but your trying to conquer the planet from a nother engineer
