13:51 hidden Echo found at the 2x2 area with a bit of water Edit: it can also be 13:50 if the initial screen time for the hidden echo is too short for the challange
hahaha, I want to give you another up vote for "self licking ice cream cone" I am loving this new play through too, totally different direction from the last few so there's totally different solutions to the same old issues! keep it up mate!
I really thought you were gonna lean fully into slicksters with all those "pro-slickster" comments, but then you were like "we'll take ALL the critters!" man after my own heart. I love the critters. Yes, even the plug slugs. They all have some use! :)
Let's hope the Dreckoranch does not get too cold, but I guess you can always dig out the Wheezewort. It is very interesting that you can use Critters for almost everything and you really push it :). I really like your creativity in this playthrough. Example: No Hydrogen? -> Just feed the Plugslugs for a bit!
I think a critter only run would be a good idea. There must be limitations, but "if it can be done by animal, it will only be done by animal" is a rule.
Thanks Echo. Started a new play through this week and enjoying it. Don’t know why my colonies are not robust. Seems to balance on a knife’s edge. More to learn.
Just found the hidden echo, but I notice that I'm not the first, after looking through a few comments so I'm not going to say when it was. Still, pretty good fun to be looking for that for 14 minutes...
16:45 Can I offer an alternative handwave? I think it's because critters they can't usually wrangle are very slippery little guys. They move about too much for the omni-tool to properly grab. But, with the critter dropoff, they have somewhere to stand and whistle, to attract those critters into one place so they can tie them up.
I see that other commenters have mentioned both parts of this, but to consolidate: A critter dropoff won't trigger errands unless it's set to accept at least one kind of critter, and in order to wrangle a critter that way, the critter must be able to path to the dropoff (or I think maybe to within one or two cells of it). If you'd set it to accept slickster larvae (since babies never get auto-wrangled anyway) and given the slickster a tile-based ladder to get there, it would've worked.
Thanks for the video! I've been watching this series to get my confidence up to try a Spaced Out colony myself. I played once on a standard asteroid but w/ DLC enabled and was very intimidated by the practically double-sized tech tree, plus having to use radiation to get at techs that would otherwise be available in vanilla...
It can be intimidating but you can do it. And if you want, you can join Echo's Discord where you can ask for guidance when things get overwhelming. It's definitely helped me get way better at the game.
I put my oxylite storage as high as i can in the capsule so that i minimize the chance other gasses pass in front of it. Helps with the over pressure issue. Also helps for it to be away from places the dupes are so when they exhale it's not onto the storage.
At roughly 1025, you only need to put the hydrogen on the side where the Dreckos are at. The water and block will prevent it from going to the other side, but minor.
@17:00 you didnt set any critter filter, so they didnt wrangle them. if you set a single critter filter there i.e. pip etc they will wrangle it. Working as of today just tested.
Nice vid Echo - keep it going. Quite interested to see you taking on all the asteroids. Is the plan to stay on a primary "home" asteroid and have small 1 or 2 dupe colonies fed off supplies from the primary or for each asteroid to be self-sufficient?
Dang.... I had to look at comments to find the echo. Nice misdirect by using cursor to point at stress to draw people's attention. Really good mini game in a video. Subscribed just to give this hidden echo another try
Drecko ranching is better done vertical since you can have the mealwood growing in the bottom and the rest hidrógen and you don't even need a liquid lock if done properly
Hey Xet, asking to be a duplicant will lead nowhere. If you become a member of patreon/youtube you will end up as being part of the series as a duplicant. Such requests don't seem to be nice if fullfilled while others live with what they have. I do also wanna point out that during ONI live streams there is a chance to end up with a dupe of your own when participating in the "name game". More about that can be learned by watching the livestreams or joining the discord.

First. Nice job Witt!
I wasn't sure they were going to make it back there... forgot about the available meat. Patience is key some days in ONI. Well done Echo.
Thank you Glenn.

The stress vomitting is more of a "self licking dog poop".
@@Davini994 hahaha, I'd looked at it as a very inefficient 2 way digestive system
Thank you for the comment!

Maybe next time. ;) Thanks for playing along.
SO CLOSE to 5k.
Good morning Echo, thanks for another great video!
And good evening AngryForest, thank you for a great comment!
Great video Echo! Super entertaining! Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks Adam!

When you were talking about choosing before doing both I said to myself why not both and got a chuckle when you did say you were gona choose both.
Putting down that printing pod shows excellent foresight. You are smartz.
ingeniousity at its peak
In answer to your vanity card, I'm spreading snark today with a dash of sass.
Yeas gurl, yeas. Ha.

You've got this Calak1. Keep at it.
You need to select for example Pip in the ranch and then auto wrangle surplus to make them get other critters.
Ey! Natural infinite gas storage (supplied by the oxylite), nice exploit Echs, keep it going!

20:00 - If only he knew... 😂
Echo, the problem with scooping up the critters is that you need the drop off to be in range of the slickster (slickster can walk in fron of it)
This was probably it. Nice catch.
I thought it was that he didn't have slicksters selected.
@@jemsterr Yup, that was it.

That is the goal. Some slips through the door before rising. We will get it clean though :)

I did flip the filters on and off a few times. Thank you for confirming that it still works.

Closer to the 2 dupe colonies being fed, although some will be self-sufficient.
@3:04 you’ve build an unnecessary ladder next to the “ladder bed” which is a bed already on a ladder 🤣
You should have seen me face palm while editing.
What a nice, exploit-free episode
Look.. see... what had happen was...
12:15 - Should somebody be calling DWU or DOSHA (Dupe OSHA)? Or maybe both?..
2:57 echo why did you put ladders just one tile away from LADDER beds?
Ha, I caught this after. Glad that rocket is gone :)
Shouldn't the Shearing spot be on the right if Dreckos can't drop down on the left?

21:51 you sure? becouse atmo suit can have max 200kg if i remember correctly
Now that I look at the number again, you may be right. I will have to do some testing. Thanks for the comment.
Love the videos, can we have more videos per week? How about 1 per day ":) Thanks.
I wish. ;)

Indeed.

Don't be sorry Xet. It was a good comment! Yes in this series, it is just member names.
