Hey David! Long time watcher but rare commenter. When you showed a shot of the ingredients or products you've used once for videos and never again I got curious. With all those items, would you consider making a video where you take all those single use items and try to make a meal or some kind out of them? Curious to see where that kind of video would go. I think even as a short it'd be really interesting! And with the gummies, I'm not sure if I remember you ever making those crystal gummies but I'd be interested to see if you're able to pull that snack off considering other creators have had trouble making it (drying time is always finicky).
@@foxstarx8321 The crystal gummies I'm referring to would be the ones that people make with agar agar and let dry out in chunks so that they essentially crystallize!
I honestly love your consistency as a creator. I love making TH-cam/Viral recipes at home and having someone go through the same process is refreshing (especially since it's not always perfect). You've also been great at figuring out which creator's recipe I want to use when you do you head-to-heads.
Bad peaches are so disappointing. I got one of those seasonal pre-cut fruit mixes from Safeway, and the peaches in it were crunchier than an apple. I was crushed!
I think about all of the TH-camrs that have come and gone from my feed over the years and I realize that you are the ONLY one that has been with me for so long and that I look forward to week after week. Don’t go changing to try and please ANYONE and keep doing what you do. I love ❤ you (and your boyfriend) and look forward to seeing you every week from now to eternity. ❤
Some other youtubers add their signature to kitchen items they don't want and give them away to fans on Patreon. Might increase engagement there and also clear out your store cupboards lol
Could've made the rice balls stickier by *not* washing them. Part of the point of washing the rice is to keep the rice from sticking and clumping due to the extra starch. In this case that would've been disreable.
Leftover rice from the fridge would not be sticky enough to form these balls, just FYI. That's why you use store rice in the fridge overnight for fried rice :)
In the narration he mentions that it would be possible to use leftover rice by reheating it. But as @whelkpeopleofdoom says, that wouldn't be sticky enough to work well.
I've done the rollup, but a little different... i did it in an air fryer without the butter, and used keto pizza sauce and the lowest fat mozzerella and mushrooms and some pepperon.... it was pretty keto friendly and i should do these more.... and the sushi adjacent is like baked sushi... love that stuff!
Aw man the rolled up pizza roll ups reminded me of the pepperoni dip. I remember watching that when I was a senior in high school, now I’m 28 and holding my daughter while I watch this video
Did you not taste the peach gummies? I kept rewinding and you described the texture as it immediately mushing in your mouth but I wanna know about the FLAVOR 😅
I made an orange gummy years ago, and it was pretty good. I remember it had the same problem with the gummy soaking the sugar. I had to keep stirring the hot gummy mixture in the oven for really long and I don't remember if I use the gelatin powder or corn starch
That carbonara roll up actually reminds me of Piada Italian Street Food. Its in the midwest, mostly, and is a chain where they literally put pasta in a wrap. Think "Italian Chipotle".
Dear David, I am a fan from the caribbean and would love to give you a suggestion you could take into consideration! I think it would be nice if you did a series based on different caribbean dishes and it's countries! Love from Trini!
I have a suggestion for a video Beryl Shereshewsky here on TH-cam does videos with recipes all around the world. I would love to see you do a video where you rank some of them again similar recipes.
The rice balls would work a lot better if (in addition to using short-grain rice) you made them smaller. They should be small enough to eat in one bite, so you don't have the problem with the leftover part crumbling in your fingers.
How about a series of a challenge of only using these random ingredients you have. I know there are apps out there that you put what ingredients you have on hand and it makes a recipe.
I've always had to bring my ingredients to a certain temp when making gummies before adding it to the gelatin. Soft ball stage. All candy I've ever made requires this.
I'm surprised that they used lemon in their gelatin mix cause lemon breaks down gelatin... if you ever try these again i would sub the lemon out for regular water or even peach juice. that should help them set a little better. as for the citric acid sugar mix, add a teaspoon per cup of sugar of cornstarch and that will help the wetness
Honestly it really irritates me when a person calls a recipe healthy, when it's not. Just because it's made with real fruit doesn't make it healthy, it's still packed with sugar and it's still CANDY. Just because you made it homemade, doesn't mean it's "healthy" and the misuse of the word has quickly made it lose its meaning apparently. Is it *healthier* than store-bought candy, because it has more nutrients in it from the fiber and vitamins of the real fruit? Yes. That does not make it "healthy".
Yeah, gummies might seem simple, but unless you do it the "chemical" way (says I, as a sorta Food Tech [BSc in Alcoholic Beverages Technology]), you need to be a lot more involved, such as by stabilizing the gelatinous mixture. The main takeaway here is to reduce the water content dramatically. If one can't do that, they need to up the gelatin content.
Yeah idk bro seems like a regional thing. Those Ingridients have been at every regular grocery store I've ever been in as long as I can remember (early 2000s) here in California.
all these ingredients that you buy and never us. They can be used in just normal cooking you're just being wasteful? you have a cooking channel but don't know how to incorporate these things into the foods you make? you could even do a series about using as many of the niche ingredients you can to make something they don't have to be wasted.
I don’t know if you guys have these in the US, but in Germany you can buy these Peach rings in the supermarket and they are super popular and very tasty! You can google „Haribo Pfirsichringe“ to see what they look like. We even have apple rings that taste even better (in my opinion). They are called „Haribo Apfelringe“ So if you want to taste what they really should taste like, you should try the Haribo original (Again, it could be very possible that these are also available in the US and I’m right now making a fool of myself)
David, you should do a video using random kitchen gadgets from these videos. I'd love to see what you'd make with these things
Ikr. Id see that. It sounds interesting
I’ve been watching since middle school when I was 14 now I’m almost 23 I love these videos and seeing you grow as a person and a creator ❤️
That's crazy lol same
I'm a year older but pretty much same! Lol
dude literally same
SAME OMG
Same ! Like exactly same

He used the crystal mold to make gusher gummies before

I’m glad you saved me from trying to make these gummies myself. 😂
Nice to see you having fun with those roll-ups David! This definitely gave me some nostalgia with how much it felt like one of your older videos haha
Those peaches were rough. I could tell as soon as you cut it open. Like a sweet potato.
Bad peaches are so disappointing. I got one of those seasonal pre-cut fruit mixes from Safeway, and the peaches in it were crunchier than an apple. I was crushed!
Yup, total garbage. Those peaches are nowhere near ripe.
Also why did the recipe wanted the peach peeling ?

Cucumber for crunch would make sense with the sushi balls. Like a California roll minus the avocado.
Or sesame seeds.
Carbonara spaghetti taco is a fuckin wildly beautiful idea

There's this Korean dish that is similar to the rice balls. They shape in to a ball with sesame oil and fill with imitation crab meat and mayonnaise
Leftover rice from the fridge would not be sticky enough to form these balls, just FYI. That's why you use store rice in the fridge overnight for fried rice :)
David included footage of preparing the rice along with everything else. It looks like he just cooked it.
In the narration he mentions that it would be possible to use leftover rice by reheating it. But as @whelkpeopleofdoom says, that wouldn't be sticky enough to work well.
Yes bro! Make your own recipes! You are better than the tik tokers ❤
the carbonara spaghetti taco was absolutely unhinged, but i’ll allow it
I can't believe I've been watching your cooking for 9-10 years now. I'm so happy for you
Thanks For all your hardwork David! You always make My day! Your videos are awesome 😊😊😊

Oh man! I belly laughed at the carbonara roll-up. That was awesome.
Aw man the rolled up pizza roll ups reminded me of the pepperoni dip. I remember watching that when I was a senior in high school, now I’m 28 and holding my daughter while I watch this video
The peach Lego men looks like Winnie the Pooh fr

I didnt realise why bombas were the only socks my mom would get me growing up. But now theyre the only sock company i buy from
Pretty sure you have to refrigerate gelatin for it to set and stay set properly
5:09 he did say that they tasted better after they air dried so that might help 🤷🏾
He did air dry them
@@whelkpeopleofdoom the original said for days, forgot to include that
Love you David! I can't wait to see your Halloween decor this year 🎃
When are you gonna test cream cheese-tomato gummies?
"...Mcdonalds logo hairline..." D-E-A-D
loved the twists on the tacos
Dear David.. the time comes soon, the pumpkin spice season will be upon us! 2 days to go :D
I was literally making those sushi imitation crab balls as I clicked on this video lol
Big sushi balls. 😮
For the sushi balls, sticky rice and an egg wash with panko roll deep fried. I know it's not sushi but it sounds good just the same.
We always look forward to your videos.
I have a suggestion for a video Beryl Shereshewsky here on TH-cam does videos with recipes all around the world. I would love to see you do a video where you rank some of them again similar recipes.
i think maybe you could do best and/or worst rated youtube celebrity or celebrity recipes 🎉
I think tempura bits might work for those sushi balls. Little bit of chronchy crunch.
That rice recipe would work great as quick salad and just put the green onions on top.
What about some chopped water chestnuts in the sushi rice balls? Great crunch with pretty much no flavor!
Pizzadillas! We make them all the time at my house! 💯
can you maybe make a video using all the ingredients you have left over from your 1 time uses?
I'd recommend chili oil instead of sesame oil and fried onion instead of green onion for the sushi balls...

I started watching you just before my mental illness started and watching you reminds me of the time life was okay
I have that same rice cooker!
Nala looked offended with that false accusation. I smell a defamation lawsuit brewing.
*pawsuit 👀
You used to look like John Cryer as Alan Harper in your old videos.
we now have a larger market for different things.., i think Covid changed a lot of our food tastes just so we had something interesting in our lives

Instead of nixing the seaweed in with thr rice, coat the rice balls with them
The only one of those sushi ingredients that would have been difficult to find 8 years ago is Kewpie
did anybody else see the ghost of david seymours past in their dreams last night
maybe use a leftover video with all your random stuff you buy for these recipes and ask AI to create a recipe or something
Those peaches where so unripe
