Thanks Jono for another great video, between you and the Homeless Truckie I get to live the feast of my trucking life vicariously through you guys as after 30 years on the job I broke my back and was told I’d never be able to drive a truck again, not if I wanted to keep walking that is. I used to do mostly road train work between Brisbane and Darwin and Brisbane and North Queensland and Emerald & the Bowen basin , used to have the odd trip to Alice Springs too. Keep up the great work. And stay safe my brother

Really enjoyed the video, love that there is very little technology involved, it is all driver judgement. The truck is amazing. Bet you are enjoying the sunshine. 🌞🌞 Thanks again for taking the time, really liking these videos.
Hello there. I'm in the UK. I used to drive tractors delivering gravel to sites where you wouldn't get with a Truck. Going up some very steep Gradients. Like you say. You have control with a manual gearbox. Stick it in a low gear on steep hills and keep it in the same gear until it levels out. Then you can change up.
Great vid Sherralin. Johno is my top Aussie driver I watch. Glad to see you're learning all about how we operate. Stay safe, travel well. The Ol' Fella Greg 💝
I do follow Johno's channel and he really does know his job. I watch your channel for the same reason, you know what you're doing. Some drivers run a channel and you see from what they do and hear from how they speak about the job that they're not really up there with the best. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. I now have to investigate why I haven't been getting yours and Johno's updates lately.
Thank you for your support. I think Johno and I have the same attitude, it’s about the job not the person. We do the same job but different! He calls it a truck, I call it a lorry but all around the world no matter what you call it we keep the goods moving. 😁👍🏻

Most UK drivers wouldn't have a clue that their trailer is only held by the tractor unit (prime mover) whilst still connected and parked. Obviously, if the UK were to ever allow double combinations to operate on UK roads, they would have to reconfigure the braking systems as you couldn't have 90 tones only being held by the tractor unit when parked up.

You’re supposed to hookup in Northam if you’re an eastbound train
From what Johno told me it’s because of the road east being closed, they are letting vehicles go to keep freight moving.
That's not a twin splitter , that looks like the Road Ranger the one I drove was a thirteen speed?
I’m sure Johno will answer your question if he reads the comments. 🙄
@@GBtrucklady I'm old school and I've driven both. Twin splitter has four positions like a car then splits twice, 12 speed. The road ranger is 4 over 5 (two ranges) plus a split , bottom range split = 18 , top range split = 13 .
@Rob-on-the-Road I’m sure if you go in to Johno channel he’ll tell you.
The constant mesh we drove (ERF, Foden and Leyland) you can 'float' the gears . Synchromesh, Scania, Volvo etc you had to use the clutch?
@@GBtrucklady I've subscribed, thanks for this video my friend (I daren't say girl , because you'll bite my head off again like when I called you Sherri? ) 🤣😂 Here's a loving kiss 😘 anyway. 😁🤠👋🏻Tang
Hey are you on holidays in Australia?
Hi, I was but home now. 😁
In Australia we have trucks not lorries like most of the world
In Germany they have LKW, in Spain they have camión, in Bulgaria they have камион. Welcome to the world 😁 Hooray for differences! The world would be very boring if we were all the same 😁
So why don't you call yourself GBlorrylady seeing your from lorry land???
@ShaneSteel-om2cr I tried but at the time it was taken. 🤷🏼♀️😁
Yeah and WA and the NT go it alone and not have the NHVR over there
I don’t know what type it is but Johno does have a digital record system as well as a log book.
You got it
I don't understand why people don't wear gloves when they do work that gets their hands dirty and then operate the steering wheel with dirty hands. For me, being a truck driver is a no-go!!! A professional doesn't do that just for the sake of safety at work...
I guess it’s because he doesn’t want to! It’s a free world! 😁
I find it harder to wear gloves. I'll only wear them if I need them.
In warmer climates like Australia hands in gloves sweat too much however I have as a driver used gloves for loaded certain things.
@@rossawood5075 Good answer
