I love these two people, my favorite West End tenor and my favorite West End mezzo joining forces. Heartbroken that Ruthie won't be in American Victory with John, though it did lessen the blow when Ruthie turned out to be the surprise guest on John's new album Rise. You two are king and queen of my heart!!
Saw Ruthie at the Usher Hall ,not only is she a wonderful singer . She seems a really nice person ,making silly faces in the wings when she missed her cue .Her only fault was singing those bloody songs from the Sound Of Music .
But it's true! He's squeal-worthy! He's just so incredible all the time! I actually don't tend to think blond men are attractive, but I guess I can make an exception. JOJ LOVERS UNITE!!
And by the way, if I could be anyone in the world I would probably want to be Ruthie Henshall. No lie, her voice is amazing. She sort of radiates talent. It makes me exceedingly jealous.
Point is she has sang songs as many different characters. And yes, she has played one of the main bar girls (not sure which) just not on a CD, and she was one of the minor girls in the OL cast.
well, not the first. Patti Lupone was the first on the west end, and randy graff on broadway. but im with you that shes the best! (kerry ellis is damn good too)
Man, how many different rolls from Saigon has Ruthie done?(she is great in each of course, though) (in chronological order) 1. GiGi (or was it mimi) 2. Ellen 3. Now Kim, lol
One of several gorgeous songs from this heartbreaking musical.
John has the voice of an angel. The true angel of music
I listened to John singing Last Night of the World live last night. I was about the burst off crying.
John is the best.
Ruthie and John Owen Jones. This is too beautiful.
I was there that night. One of the best stage performances I have ever seen.
omg.. i so lurv JOJ's version now!! he can exude this v sensual quality in almost all his renditions ^_^
Lovely performance. Their voices blend so beautifully together.
She is Ruthie Henshall, the first and one of the best Fantine ever!
What a great pairing! They rock separately and together!
I saw them sing this live at Faenol 2007 and it was the highlight of a great show. Can't wait to see who Bryn gets next year.
Man I love JOJ!!! ♥♥♥
I was there and they were both equally brilliant
"Dreams, you won't need when I'm through..." Whoa, steady on!

Absolutely amazing! They both sound awesome, and I love Ruthie's new do, she looks great :)
But it's true! He's squeal-worthy! He's just so incredible all the time! I actually don't tend to think blond men are attractive, but I guess I can make an exception.
JOJ LOVERS UNITE!!
JOJ and Lea Salonga should do this together. That would be the greatest Kim and Chris duet in history.
Wow

yeah baby
This guy just knows how to shut down everyone: BEST VALJEAN, BEST PHANTOM, and here, BEST CHRIS. Haha...wow.
ohhhh john............. *eye lids flutter*
@gemini21 she was also in the Original cast of Miss Saigon and has played Ellen
ohhh you guys ... hahahaha yes, i'm the same way ... welcome to the club!
WOW. I am NOT used to hearing JOJ NOT belting or booming his voice out to the rafters. It's so...odd...
But of course he's still amazing. WOW... :D
will this performance ever be on a DVD to be purchased?
@FallingRedRose Yes, he's married and has two children :)
You make me laugh. *laughs*
HURRAH FOR JOHN!
*raises hand* May I get in line?
Regardless. It's my opinion that John is much better than she is.
See, no, you must have scared me actually, because I need to be scared in order to give up on John.
well, not the first. Patti Lupone was the first on the west end, and randy graff on broadway. but im with you that shes the best! (kerry ellis is damn good too)
John > that girl
Um ... no?
'that girl' is only Ruthie Henshaw one of the most sucessful and well known west end/broadway stars she has pretty much done it all.
Man, how many different rolls from Saigon has Ruthie done?(she is great in each of course, though)
(in chronological order)
1. GiGi (or was it mimi)
2. Ellen
3. Now Kim, lol
Ruthie might be the best Fantine, but the first was Patti Lupone :]
My two favourite musical stars
Is that Ruthie Henshall?
@gemini21
She is Fantine for me.
AMAZINGLY FABULOUS.
But ... but ... a punjab lasso is used to strangle, m'dear. We don't want to strangle John. We want to ... capture him lovingly?
sorry, got to disagree.
second best i've heard. would be the best if the role hadn't been played by lea salonga.
I dont really like ther voices 2gether! And ive heard this song performed better!
Erm ... *backs away slowly* ... on second thought, I just may leave this to you.
Nooo I will fight you for it ... haha ... no, I'm totally serious
thought that it was Stig Rossen that was the youngest
Very nice video
Enjoyed it
Thanks
Ruthie is amazing as ever.
