I'm guessing the joke is that Baena looks like him, but he does play the guitar on their acoustic songs and I don't doubt he comes up with most of the riffs as well.
Man, Baena, your tone has got so thick and dynamic in the last several months. Not that it was ever bad, but it was a lot grainier and dry previously. Sounds *excellent*!!
Man i still remember discovering ADTR with my brother and cousin. So many good memories with this band. Thanks for putting this together man, you killed it! 👏
i think this video showcases how their weird tone that doesnt seem to fit with heavier songs somehow makes them sound more unique lmao. These breakdowns with a proper 'metalcore' tone dont sound as good tbh even though theyre played the same way.
Great job man! These are some of my daily riffs I play. Also love Exposed one of their heaviest songs, I remembered you covered that song a few years ago!
I think you meant their first two albums from 2005 and 2007. Most people seem to forget that For Those That Have Heart originally came out in 2007 and was just reissued in 2008. Also, does everyone seem to forget that And Their Name Was Treason exists? Great video btw.
its kinda because ATNWT is more of a demo than an actual record. It seems weird, I know, but it's the similar situation with Trivium and Staind. They both had first studio albums, but they were A. not very good production B. not a lot of copies made. It's when they drop the second album that makes their image. Trivium with Ascendancy and Staind with Dysfunction.
oh man, it was so great, saw em two times and the bv one in columbia halle in berlin was great. but the starset concert is still my favorit i have been to
its harmonized, meaning one guitar plays the old riff and the second guitar plays the same riff futher up or down the scale, look it up on youtube there are many videos on it
So Legit. Is that a Schecter? If so I just ordered one and I'm so stoked to get it going. My music is a combination of many genres but, from 2009ish-present, A day to remember has felt like family to me. Stay safe, Stay rockin🙏🏽🤙
Check out my band CARCOSA for even more HEAVY riffs:
carcosabc.com/
Lol like we all haven't already 😂🤘🏼
This guy appears on all of Baena's videos talking about Carcosa. I wonder Baena knows this guy.
Lol the amount of zeros in their breakdowns just make me laugh to the point where they are so good and fit so well
You will eat your cheerios and like em!
I’m good with the zeros. I can relate.
Don’t the zeros make it a breakdown?
You Be Tails, I'll Be Sonic is one of the most emotional songs in metalcore, and it never gets enough respect for how heavy that main riff is.
Indeed🙌🏼
Factsssss
Amen.
My favorite adtr song
💯
I like my ADTR riffs just like moto moto likes his women
I like ‘em big
I like ‘em chunky
“Disrespect your surroundings” 🤣🤣🤣

@@k.a.m_dh9959 bet lmao 😆
So Jeremy McKinnon also plays guitar? That's cool

that transition from Show Em The Ropes to A Shot In The Dark was sweet
My favorite ADTR riff and song is 1958
I love that intro holy fuck
A Shot In The Dark is the epitome of fun when it comes to guitar. Such a groovy riff
Common Courtesy has some heavy stuff that’s been slept on
The Holdin it down for the underground breakdown is my most favorite from ADTR🤘🔥
It would’ve been ironic if Show Em the Ropes would’ve been in E minor.
Why?
@@D22productionsEm = E minor

Those transitions tho!!! 🤯
A day to remember never gets old!!!!
I cried On Mr Highway my dude. Oh my god, that got me soooo much
Sick list! Only thing I’ll say is that FTWHH came out in ‘07 unless I guess you refer to the reissue that did come out in 2008.
I’m surprised you didn’t put life lessons learned the hard way, one of the most overlooked song
That one is underrated af
can you one of these on motionless in white?
i think this video showcases how their weird tone that doesnt seem to fit with heavier songs somehow makes them sound more unique lmao. These breakdowns with a proper 'metalcore' tone dont sound as good tbh even though theyre played the same way.
Life lesson learned the heard would've fit. Oof

You are an absolute god on those strings, dude. Never stop playing.
You should do some old after the Burial like berzerker, to carry you away
you forgot Life Lesson Learned The Hard Way and Reassemble
Reassemble is so good
3 things
1)you are amazing/great video
2)amazing loathe shirt
3) I was really hoping for 1958 to be thrown in the mix
Pop Punk with breakdowns!!
That’s the whole point
I didn’t realize they were so heavy until this video xD
BRB, gonna go back to high school rq
I was expecting the breakdown riff from Last Chance To Dance lol
Same tho
Damn I watched this whole video just to see that
Love playing danger in starting a fire breakdown is sick

Wut about Halos for Heroes dirt for the dead?!?! Now I’m a better fan and cooler person than you.
I liked Trivium before he blew out his voice box and ended up sounding a lot like Metallica
Could you do a riff evolution or heaviest riffs for Every Time I Die!
I was about to shout disrespect your surroundings and then that bit caught me off guard so hard hahah
ADTR bad vibrations tour was one of the best concerts ive ever been to, not gonna lie
Saw them in 2009. Peak ADTR.
oh man, it was so great, saw em two times and the bv one in columbia halle in berlin was great. but the starset concert is still my favorit i have been to
@@KingOfTheOzone
Don't know about that, they hit their peak around 2011/2013.
I completely forgot how many of their breakdowns were actually really cool after their latest album. Thank you for reminding me Andrew!
their 08 stuff was so good
Architects heaviest riffs!
If you havent done it already
Brought me back to better days with this one
5 seconds in and I'm already headbanging 🤘🔥
this almost sounded like one of your callout videos with out any callouts lol
Waaat no dead and buried, life lessons learned the hard way those are heavy af
YES!
the fact that there's only one riff off you're welcome makes this 10x better lol
I think the thing that shocked me the most was I'm made of wax.. I learned it when I was 17 playing it in Drop D not Drop C
In homage to heavy ADTR being gone?..
missed the breakdown riff of speak of the devil on that, one of my favs^^
1:23 how you do that sound?? im new on guitar and i want to know that 😢 help
its harmonized, meaning one guitar plays the old riff and the second guitar plays the same riff futher up or down the scale, look it up on youtube there are many videos on it
We need to see a cover of last chance to dance. That song fuckin hits bro!!
What’s that Jazzmaster looking guitar your playing?
I remember blasting A Shot In the Dark on my ipod while flying from Arizona back home after an ex and I broke up lol
Then you start crying again when I heard it's the softest song ever comes on
First song that I heard of them was Heartless (the 1st Album version) and it still fuckin CRUSHING IT in 2021 🔥🔥🔥

Well placed headbangs hell yeah!
Lmao the sign on the wall that says string gauge
Bad Vibrations is not really in Drop C but nethertheless great compilation.
Nothin' like the Drop A, B, C's baby!
where are the songs from the album For Those Who Have Heart? Fast Forward to 2012?)))
Coming thru with your 11th ADTR video. I ain’t even mad.
Love these videos. Instant sub 🤘

Ohhhh new Blackjack 7 string!! Hey.. so why do we have neck pickups again?! 🤣😆😬👀🎸🎸
Was not expecting that insane guttural lows at 3:27
Yanno, I think it’s interesting that I know # means sharp despite not knowing much about music notes. Anyway I love this video man.
I never clicked so fast in my life. Great job!
Very heavy. Like.
How do you get such good tone :0
how come you put the year but not the album?
We were all looking for 3:27
Can you do Car Bomb?
If we can get Johnny on this! I feel like he would really murder these tracks 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Mr. Highways thinking about the end
All guitarists understand that face during the cowbell.
Bruh, first album came out in 2005 lol. But nice list of riffs and breakdowns
"Pop punk with breakdowns"
That is all.
Great video, though! They do actually have some pretty cool riffs, at times!
How did they go from THESE to THAT...
Can anyone tell me how get gets drop A from a 6 string?
Drop A was played on a 7 string. If you meant Drop A# he just uses a thicker string gauge, and I wouldn't doubt if it was even a baritone guitar
i want to see a sweep picking with breakdowns haha
Hit 2009 and there was a pit in my house all the sudden lmao
Might be an unpopular opinion but I think the verese biff in Mr Highway is way heavier than the breakdown
You forgot about High Diving
It’s all so damn good.
WHY DID YOU NOT INCLUDE LAST CHANCE TO DANCE?????
Holy shit I had no idea that mr highway is in Drop A#
