Thanks Spanj for another exciting video! In my playthrough, I found that Chainguns are really great for long battles. There are no overheating...or battery recharge...etc..which keeps you putting out max DPS for longer stretches. The downside is kinda sucky target range. I use the turret factory to make custom (maxxed out) chainguns for all my Armed slots. Of course, the higher-tier base building materials have better stats for the chainguns. Thanks again! Cheers!
To help with viewing a full map of territories, you can buy maps at the equipment docks. You'll be able to see where capitals are for each factions and gain info on all stations in the regions
I have a good name for your next ship. A name that would ward off bad luck : The Kobayashi Maru. With a ship named like this, I'm pretty sure you'd can kill all the strongest pirate scums of the Universe.

you have got to start learning what pirates are tankier, and what are paper canons, and then go for the paper cannons first, they are faster to kill and usually do the lions share of the damage, that fight could have gone far better if you did that ^^

Yeah, Xanion region's are no joke. Out of curiosity, do you have plasma's or something equivelent to take down shields? Another thing, you can set your auto turrets to focus on your target, which in a pinch like this one can help quite a bit. Usually by this point I've got trinium based plasma and rail fighters, plasma for the bonus damage to shields, and rails for the bonus to hull. I'm not familiar with your ships stats, but even two squads can make a difference. It can also tie up their point defense and give your torps a chance, but that's realistically negligable.

Then, press and hold the left shift key, then you can click on that grouping. It'll give some options, controlled by player, Defensive fire, autofire, and attack target. It's the attack target that you're looking for. Then your auto turrets will only fire on your selected target.
So selling minerals to them raises your rep with them up to 45 k I believe and buying stuff like turrets etc from equipment guys can raise it to like maybe 75k I think it should show up in your messages how much you got if any

yeah Swok's is easy with Naonite, maybe doable with titanium.. forgot he could be farmed though... one of those things that's easy to forget i guess...
I like the new methods for getting build knowledge but they have made it a bit too easy - the buy from smugglers option is a lot more money than buying from a faction you have rep with but as you saw it is generally possible as soon as you find a smuggler in the relevant region
Hey Spanj get your trader to trade with the faction that you're trying to build up rep. Trade (inc resources) also givz rep (up to a point) so every little helps especially when startin at bad or newthrall rep levelz.
That battle went badly, now to be fair I have had several similar results but always in just me vs the world, I never killed three other ships and we were at two bars of hull going fuck this I can win, nope. I will also add that I have a ship I kind of like but I think the ship has like 1 hp of hull and shield, because when the shield drops the ship basically instantly explodes :( OK, maybe it has more than 1 HP. Anyway I hope my new ship is good, and I would love to have 10 extra friends to help him out. But even if I have progressed farther in I have it seems done much less boss content.
Oi, First! Happy Holidays (Thanksgiving for us Yanks) Spanj! Why not make a parasite carrier? Just dock it with your ship and put 1000 fighters on it when you need it, leave it at base when you don't.
I had no idea why i should destroy these station/satellites, and i was surprised when the boss came and how much damage he could do. At least my ship had 500000 hull and a DPS of 21k. The game is first class in telling you nothing at all. - You need all xeno artifacts, how to find them? Figure it out. - You don't need to cripple your ship to reach the inner galaxy. Bosses will respawn, so that you can farm these artifacts. What? No one told you? - Oops Even the few missions descriptions are vague at best.
if I may throw my two cents in. I would suggest you start investing in some shield breaking weapons. you wasted so much time and was soaking some much damage just getting their shields down drawing out the fight and wearing your ships down.
Never put turrets on auto... Ai misses 70% of time by design. People who told you to put them on auto simply suck at games and cannot aim at all. Normal people should aim by themselves it's much more efficient and in closer range allows you to destroy enemy turrets or other parts if you need...
looks like it's time for a bigger Command Battleship with really big guns, lol
Can also take those low level turrets and stuff to the scrapyard and turn em into parts so you can mass produce your own turrets at turret factory
Pirates 6 waves, plus aliens plus random pirates ...what next. I suspect a mole to the AI
That pirate battle felt like watching Stargate Tau'ri vs Wraith battle and then some Ori scouts drop in, lol. Awesome fight, mate!

Reminder in case no one else has said it. You only need a 1 x 1 x 1 transporter block. Thr module controls the distance.

That is the AI's xotan module ;) - I've killed him 3 times now, not on purpose, he just kept showing up.

not sure if later episodes you figure it but move aiming isn't great for auto turrets. alt looking keeps your ship steady while allowing you to aim

Can use the reconstucion kit things ya get when you build a ship if ya in the same zone as that ship
