That '95 Aussie series clip was some of the finest & cleanest racing I've ever seen.
That’s strange considering Paul Morris was involved.

Good clean racing
Sequential shifters (probably some manual H-patterns too), no power steering, no simulator to practise on daily, bumpy tracks, high kerbs, pure racing talent
that ds3 cup crashes is the living proof on how dangerous are slicks in the wet even on low power cars
true. Even with a light car, 150 hp and semi slicks, no fun at all.
That race was livestreamed and only 50 people were watching it. One of them was me, it was clear that this would go viral xD

I used to live 5 miles from that track its called Cadwell Park and ANY race there is amazing to watch that jump is just a tiny part of how amazing the track is

Mr. M, I have to say, very very well done! I'm not following other motorsports apart from F1, F2, F3, Fe that closely but that compilation showed me again why I love every form of motorsport. honestly amazed that stadium super trucks are an actual thing. it's like a bunch of kids playing with their toy trucks just grew up and never stopped upscaling. love it

@5:14 I know every time he hit the ground hurt, but I can’t help but think how it felt hitting that berm.. I’ve hit a sudden change in terrain like that, that starts by your butt being lifted off the seat, or at least your weight lifted.. and then that sudden and extremely sharp upward momentum of the car as you start your weight going back into the seat. I already had a spine injury when it happened and it was nowhere near the impact or violent speed as this. I was in bed for almost a month straight. That was years ago, now apparently according to my doctor and my last MRI, doctor: “your discs are bulging.” Me:”which ones” doctor:”…… all of them…” I didn’t even know that was possible, lol. I hope he recovered okay and was still able to race. Seeing that made me wince in pain.
Yeah, it's quite unpredictable what will happen in those big accidents. Sometimes they get very serious injuries, sometimes they are completely okay. Race cars do have excellent protection though.

I recall old rally dudes saying how terrified they were they were going to kill somebody on those old races in Portugal, Corsica etc. As if driving wasn't scary enough, then you have to dodge mad dogs haah
Yeah, one phrase that sticks in my head is "a jump into a narrow hallway with walls made of people" which describes how terrifying it must be to drive; the fans loved it though haha.
It's super scary because I believe these are Class B cars which are basically death machines on small patches of road.

@@merlotpapi4930 those old Group B drivers pleaded with officials to change the safety regulations and they refused. Some drivers quit and then a few people died - that's when Group B was disbanded permanently.

Watching the Doune hillclimb clip and remembering it’s only a few miles away from where I live in Scotland. Can’t think I’ve ever seen another clip from that event outside friends but, damn that’s insanely quick up there.

Zamparelli must've noticed at 7:50 how wide the spray was and maybe even the tell of the cars ahead sliding from the wild tyre tracks on the track infront of him, he lifted off just as you see where the other cars must've started to have an incident.
