Are there any safe techniques that can remove micro scratches from the screens or piano black interior trim elements? Good topic for a video, if there are ways of safely polishing these out.
My honda accord screen feels like platic and not glass how do i clean this? I left water mark swirls all over and dont know how to take them off. Can you help
BMW’s digital instrument cluster is protected by an anti glare film. I exercised the same steps you showcased and saw severe smudges when the sun was hitting directly on the instrument panel. Do you have any solution to this? I learned the anti glare gets scratched far too easy (as it happened on my F10 when they were fitting the same anti glare on the central display as well). now I am hesitant to try anything new. Thanks
My Mazda had the same issue. I just used a damp with water microfiber and then buff with a dry cloth. Anything else damages Mazda infotainment screens. I just clean it often.
A rinseless wash damaged your screen? Those are pH neutral cleaners, so I don't know what to tell you. Very odd situation you're in. So in your case, the only thing you'll be able to do is a microfiber towel damp with a bit of distilled water and that's it.
@@PanTheOrganizer that's what I've been doing, no issues with the new screen. Thankfully Mazda was replacing the screen under warranty for an unrelated issue, so I took the opportunity to try a lot of different cleaners on the already damaged screen.

Pan this is another good one, l use TW mist glass cleaner on my screen. On another subject I just watched your Sucker towel review. You helped me make up my mind on towel size. The big decision was either a 2 pack of 15 x24 Gauntlet or a 20 x 30 . The 15 x 24 is my choice and they should do the job on our 2021 RAV4 hybrid. Thanks
Thanks for another informative video Pan. I was going to inquire about Invisible Glass, but I see you've already addressed this for another viewer. I am wondering how you feel about screen protectors for automotive screens? I'm having a hard time finding one for my particular vehicle. Thanks
As it is similar to glass in looks, but different in material, as plastic is soft while glass in near unscratcheable, you should use a clean and soft microfiber with a glass cleaner. Spray on the cloth, not on the cluster as you will also hit the steering wheel and other surroundings. Good luck!
Pan......Ive got numerous rags from The Rag Company. How can I distinguise them....ie: glass rag, interior rag, drying, polishing ? Can I safely mark them with a sharpie ? What do you do to distinguish them ? Ron Bryan Texas
The glass towels have a different weave so they're easy to identify. For the rest, I usually pick different colors for different tasks. You can assign specific colors to different tasks. For example, yellow towels for interior, grey towels for wheels, blue towels for polishing, etc.
You can’t remove scratches off infotainment displays unfortunately. As you’d be damaging the protective film on the screen and run the risk of cracking it. Welcome to my channel. Not really a cleaner, but yes it can act as a quick interior detailer if sprayed lightly on a towel and you wipe the surface. So it does work on infotainment screens and also works great on piano black gloss surfaces.
HI- My husband and are" car people." We have owned & still own many classic cars. I came here to your channel to see how I could get rid of smears or a few fingerprints on the Infotainment screen that was not used as a touch screen but was used with the big dial. I bought the exact product you suggested - the Turtle Wax Hybrid Hybrid Solutions Streak free mist glass cleaner inside and out. " Now my screen looks worse! I followed the directions. Do you have any suggestions to fix this? Should I buy a cover made for these screens ( not a Mazda product that I am aware of as of yet) that is sold on amazon that will hopefully hide the streaks on the screen? Update: I may have sprayed the product on the screen and not the cloth. that could be the problem. Shall I try again spraying it on the cloth and then wiping the screen?

I just purchased a used 2017 Mazda CX-5 for my daughter, and the anti-glare coating on the infotainment screen is very scratched. I've seen people using everything from Lysol to Listerine to remove the coating. Any recommendations for restoring the screen, or removing the anti-glare coating?
I would never recommend that someone removes the anti-glare factory coatings. And there isn't really a how-to on that, as you don't polish that surface. You either replace it, or live with it to my knowledge.
Hello Guys. I have scratch like dots on my infotainment screen. To me it seemd like protecting film got damaged any ideas how to restore it or fill in the material? Thank you in advance
Hi Pan, I applied a single layer of Avalon king armor shield IX ceramic coating last spring. Can I apply another layer this year just so I have 2 coatings, or is it too late? Do I strip the old layer or what maintenance needs to be done?
Usually, they recommend apply 2 coats one after the other (1 hour between coats). So in your case, it's unsure how much you'd benefit from a coat a year later. The bare minimum would be to wash the car, use an iron remover for decon, then IPA wipe (with something like AvalonKing Paint Prep spray) and then apply a fresh layer.

Lightly dust off with a gentle soft detailing brush. Or use the gel to dab and pick up the dust. Then, use a gentle plush microfiber towel, spray your interior detailer on the towel and gently wipe.
Pan, what is the best way and products to clean the cars instruments cover which is usually like a clear plastic covering without clouding or scratching the surface. Thank You.
As it is similar to glass in looks, but different in material, as plastic is soft while glass in near unscratcheable, you should use a clean and soft microfiber with a glass cleaner. Spray on the cloth, not on the cluster as you will also hit the steering wheel and other surroundings.
Correct. Also make sure you aren't using pure alcohol based products (like 91% alcohol) as using an alcohol-based cleaner on your device can potentially damage the protective coating on most screens in cars. Use a quick detail spray instead, or if the quick detailer has a bit of alcohol in it, make sure it's safe on nav screens (like the Gyeon Interior Detailer which is 60% alcohol based, and still safe to use).
May I know how to remove a perfume oil stain in a car infotainment? Im having a hard time to remove this to my infotainment. Hopefully you can help me. Thanks

Pan I have a question. Are there any other spray and rinse SiO2 sealants that are out there besides geyon wet coat and CarPro HydrO2? I love these two products to death as, a multi year ceramic coating is not worth it for me in my situation. Any suggestions are appreciated, I always love to try new products.
Yes there are plenty of spray and rinse now. McKee’s Hydro Graphene, McKee’s Hydro Blue, Turtle Wax Graphene Flex Wax, Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax, DIY Detail Quick Beads, and so many more. If you look at your favourite brand’s lineup you’ll likely find one.

The number one thing for preventing windshield fogging (interior) is to properly degrease it, and then clean it. Watch my simple DIY video on that topic here: th-cam.com/video/3rF6keJ88Y8/w-d-xo.html
Hey Pan, thanks for the tip. Want to keep my screen like new for as long as possible. Noticed in a previous vid you used the Gyeon Int Detailer on the dash and all vinyl, leather. Wouldn’t this strip any conditioner/UV protection that you may have previously applied? Tks
It's a very light product (hence the name detailer), so it shouldn't really strip away protection unless used multiple times a week. This isn't a full blown APC or interior cleaner. At least once a month anyways, you should be topping the protection on the plastics and interior trim.
Usually preventative practices would be best. For instance, whenever I use the touchscreen, I use the second knuckle (joint) of my finger to lightly tap on the screen. Your finger tips tend to have lots of oil throughout the day but your knuckles tend to be drier and less oily so there is less chance to leave oily residue when tapping. But for products that protect he screen, I would say that after cleaning it, use a ceramic detailer (preferably one for interiors) on the screen. Lightly buff it off again to remove excess product. That should help prevent fingerprints and dust, especially on screens that don't have much protection left on them.
@@PanTheOrganizer HI Pan! Yes I watched your video, and it gave great recommendations on how to clean and remove fingerprints; but my question to you was is there anything that we can apply to the screen to prevent fingerprints from happening in the first place, like a coating of some kind??

Are there any safe techniques that can remove micro scratches from the screens or piano black interior trim elements? Good topic for a video, if there are ways of safely polishing these out.
Yeah you can either use a polish by hand, like Sonax Perfect Finish, or use a small polisher like the Rupes iBrid Nano.
My honda accord screen feels like platic and not glass how do i clean this? I left water mark swirls all over and dont know how to take them off. Can you help
Hey Pan !
What about Gc from Koschemi or any product from Koschemi that could be a good choice for cleaning those screens / piano black

Hi there. I have the Gyeon one. can you used the Gyeon on iPad iPhones and so on
BMW’s digital instrument cluster is protected by an anti glare film.
You can use a rinseless wash on a gentle microfiber towel and wipe.
@@PanTheOrganizer ONR also damaged my screen.
Hey Pan, nice production as always. I know you are onto Hi Fi, do you have another channel where talk or review products in audio ?
I don't, but I do HiFi videos and tech reviews sometimes on this channel. Here are a few:

Hi Pan. Do you suggest the same for the instrument cluster?
Pan this is another good one, l use TW mist glass cleaner on my screen. On another subject I just watched your Sucker towel review. You helped me make up my mind on towel size. The big decision was either a 2 pack of 15 x24 Gauntlet or a 20 x 30 . The 15 x 24 is my choice and they should do the job on our 2021 RAV4 hybrid. Thanks
It’s my girlfriend’s 2021 Nissan Rogue.
Thanks for another informative video Pan. I was going to inquire about Invisible Glass, but I see you've already addressed this for another viewer. I am wondering how you feel about screen protectors for automotive screens? I'm having a hard time finding one for my particular vehicle. Thanks
I haven't looked into screen protectors, as I never had the need for them. My car is cleaned regularly, and I take care not to damage any surface. :)
Just wondering if you could do a video like this on the instrument cluster rev counter Speedo etc please
As it is similar to glass in looks, but different in material, as plastic is soft while glass in near unscratcheable, you should use a clean and soft microfiber with a glass cleaner. Spray on the cloth, not on the cluster as you will also hit the steering wheel and other surroundings. Good luck!
Awesome video and tutorial good friend
Thank you Richard!
Are they good for cleaning the instrument panel in front of the driver and heads up projector?
The instrument cluster yes.
Hi. Thanks for your videos. I wanna ask you. Can i put ceramic coating on my car screen?
Not to my knowledge. But you can apply something like this: screenprotech.com
@PanTheOrganizer thank you. You mean that ceramic coating damage the touchscreen?
It wouldn't bond to it. Coatings are meant to bond to clear coat.
Happy little screen lol, thanks Pan 👍😁
No problem 👍
Pan......Ive got numerous rags from The Rag Company. How can I distinguise them....ie: glass rag, interior rag, drying, polishing ? Can I safely mark them with a sharpie ? What do you do to distinguish them ?

The glass towels have a different weave so they're easy to identify. For the rest, I usually pick different colors for different tasks. You can assign specific colors to different tasks. For example, yellow towels for interior, grey towels for wheels, blue towels for polishing, etc.
Hi Pan, what product do you use to remove the scratches out of the infotainment screen?
You can’t remove scratches off infotainment displays unfortunately. As you’d be damaging the protective film on the screen and run the risk of cracking it.

So I take it if I have a navigation screen that already has some scratching, there’s no way to polish it out?
No unfortunately, as if you use abrasives on those screens, you'll be damaging the coatings they have.
Have you ever done or do you plan on ever reviewing top coat F11?
You’ll never see that on my channel. Not worth the purchase. No serious channel has liked it.

Thanks pan! Love your content. One product I’ve use a lot is the chemical guys nonsense. Would that be safe on a display screen? Keep it up!
It would be hard for me to know all the products that can be used on tech screens unfortunately. Your best bet would be to check on the label of the product, the company website or reach out to the company directly. If I had to guess, I wouldn't use Nonsense on nav screens.

Are there other products providing a protective film like Cruise Matte Interior Detailer? ~Thanks~
Not to my knowledge
@@PanTheOrganizer Ok. With this product any idea how often you need to reapply to preserve the protection and will there be a build up?
The touchscreen on my Nissan Titan has some hazey scratches on it. Any suggestions for removing those?
You can’t unfortunately. That’s would damage the screen’s coating.
Hey Pan, love your work. I wonder if the P&S bead / dream maker mix would also be a good screen cleaner ? Simon from Australia
Not really a cleaner, but yes it can act as a quick interior detailer if sprayed lightly on a towel and you wipe the surface. So it does work on infotainment screens and also works great on piano black gloss surfaces.
Which cleaner is safest on a capacitive, anti-glare, high contrast display? Thanks, Ryan

You should always spray on the towel, not the screen. I never had issues with that Turtle Wax product on screens. Perhaps you got a bad batch of product? But you can try the best one that I have tested for that, here: bit.ly/3QIjhqn
Also, what microfiber towel are you using? Hopefully it's a quality one meant for detailing vehicles. Make sure you spray on the clean and dry towel, and then gently wipe the screen.
Easy peasy... simple is best!
👍🏻
Awesome work Pan! Can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than watching your latest upload👏🏻🎉.

Hello Guys. I have scratch like dots on my infotainment screen. To me it seemd like protecting film got damaged any ideas how to restore it or fill in the material? Thank you in advance
Unfortunately there's no solution for infotainment displays. You'd have to see your dealership to have it replaced if need be.
Do you have a video on how the clean a canvas convertible top?

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks.
My question was about the plastic in front of the speedo which is very sensitive and soft in my Mazda
Lightly dust off with a gentle soft detailing brush. Or use the gel to dab and pick up the dust. Then, use a gentle plush microfiber towel, spray your interior detailer on the towel and gently wipe.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks i’ll give that a go
Pan, what is the best way and products to clean the cars instruments cover which is usually like a clear plastic covering without clouding or scratching the surface.
Thanks
Hi Judy. Did you try the techniques and products presented in this tutorial? It's important to establish a baseline to see what else can be done. It's hard to troubleshoot at a distance without even seeing the extent of the damage.
I just use distilled water in a misting bottle purchased from Adam's. The MF cloth is a very fine cloth used for cleaning glasses.
Would the chemicals you recommend also work on home tablets such as iPads and/or cellular phones screens?
No
I like the makeup brush tip🎉
A good alternative.
I just use filtered water with a couple of drops of dish soap. Works great.
Dish soap dries out plastic.
Could you use tape or Puddy to pull off the initial dust instead of a brush ?
Yes there are putties made for that like here: amzn.to/3GWqInB

Pan if there are lite scratches on an older touch screen (2010 Lexus RX 350) is there anyway to buff those out?
Not to my knowledge, as trying to do any form of polishing would damage the anti-glare, anti-smudge or any other protective film on them.
I just picked up a used 08 nissan altima for my daughter and the touch screen is foggy and beat up, Can i polish it out with glass polish or is there a way to restore it ?
No unfortunately as you’d remove any protective coating that’s on the screen.

What do you recommend to clean digital cluster without searching?
What I spoke about in this video. I'm confused by your question. Did you watch the video?
Yes the 3 product on this video what would be best option to clean instrument cluster ?

I just delete my search history... ohhh you mean physically cleaning the screen :P
Hahahahah!!!! :)
As Bob Ross would say; There’s a happy little navigation screen! 😜
Hahahha hell yeah!
What about water/vinegar mix?
Hello Pan, tu ne fais plus des vidéos en français ?
Oui, mais pas pour chaque vidéo.
Any products for scuffs/scratches?
Nothing can restore scuffs or scratches on infotainment screens unfortunately.
HI Pan! Is there anything you can use to protect the screen from showing the fingerprints?
I talked about that in the video. Did you watch it?
