What do you want to know about therapy and therapists?

I've noticed how good a listener you are and the empathy you have for people from videos like this. But even when you're reviewing other videos you really get caught up in what people are saying and nod your head and show empathy to them or the situation. ❤

Thanks for saying so! It's really something if you can say a TH-camr is a good listener! 😂

Can you do one thing for me? When doing intake for a middle school girl, for the love of all things sacred, do NOT ask her, "Have you gotten your period yet?"

O I sense a story here.... That's typically not a question I would ask. I'm trying to think of a situation where it would be diagnostically warranted...
I have asked parents in the past on what they've seen in regards to puberty, especially if their 13-year old suddenly seems more fatigued, irritable, etc, but that might be it

@@Therapy2Day It's just absolutely maddening how much of what teenagers experience gets blamed on their "hormones." I'm not talking about using it as an excuse for their misbehaviour, I'm talking about going to the middle school counselor because the girl is experiencing crippling depression and anxiety, and instead of being asked "Is anyone abusing or mistreating you at home?" the first question is "Have you gotten your period yet?"

@@fortyseventhronin fair enough. I also want to prevent some parents from over diagnosing something normal as something problematic
