I'm now looking forward to your jar-dye process. I've been thinking about doing my own Aida for a while, so this is super helpful. Thanks again, Kari!
Coming at ya next week!!
I always knew dyeing fabric wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, but I had no idea it could take 30 minutes of constant stirring 😱 thank you for the video! Looking forward to the jar dyeing tutorial.
Yeah it’s more dedication than anything. Jar dying should be up next week!!
Thank you for sharing! Really interesting video. Take care
I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
Can you use an edge sealant like Fray Check before dyeing? Obviously it'll interfere with the edges taking up the dye but would it at least keep the fabric together?
I have used fray check when stitching in hand to avoid fraying, but not while dying. I imagine it wouldn’t be much help due to the water. I may have to experiment some time.
Is that a Chihuahua geisha behind you? If so is there a chart?
It is a chihuahua geisha lol. It’s a piece of art I purchased in DC years ago. I haven’t been able to find the artist but I will keep searching.
