I just finished watching this series and OMG it has to be one of the best historical drama series ever made. Just looking at the trailer, I knew it was going to be good. It moved me and I didn't expect that. Though, I must add that I didn't know the Korean-Japanese history, which was definitely eye-opening. The cast is PHENOMENAL. The sets...phenomenal. Just overall, Well done! I can't even watch it again.

I have watched 100+ K-dramas and I don’t think there’s a story that touched my me as deeply as this one did, with maybe a few exceptions such as Youth of May, 2521 and Goblin. However, overall production quality wise, I’d say this is the best K-drama I’ve ever watched and that’s why it’s my current #1 Korean show.

This is love... realy love. And it's presented so good. All the feelings that the caracters went trough. After the end I was crying so long. The drama tuched me so deep. But also the moment of history. I felt so sad and I read all in wekipedia about Korea and Japan and the war. I see that in this story it's all about LOVE between people. All die for ... each other abd for their country. So in the end so deep love can be born in very difficult and inposible situations. This makes me think more about all I love around me. And never consider him as handsome but in this movie the way he acted like I love him I love Eugune and I cried for his life and for everyone’s life. I also grew up poor and being hated and all deep emotions I feel his feelings of not belong to anywhere. I have parents but they hit me and scold me every single day. My father hit my mom that’s why I never feel my parents home is my home. If someone tell about me my parents will hit me first without asking, my father also tried to kill me several times. So iam lonely in my own family and fighting every single day for my life. Maybe that’s why I always thought or feel that uniform is safer and somehow I only attract policemen or army guys. This movie brought me deeply painful and my broken heart

Ive watched it some months ago, I watched Lee Byung-hun since I was teenager 25 years ago. And never consider him as handsome but in this movie the way he acted like I love him I love Eugune and I cried for his life and for everyone’s life. I also grew up poor and being hated and all deep emotions I feel his feelings of not belong to anywhere. I have parents but they hit me and scold me every single day. My father hit my mom that’s why I never feel my parents home is my home. If someone tell about me my parents will hit me first without asking, my father also tried to kill me several times. So iam lonely in my own family and fighting every single day for my life. Maybe that’s why I always thought or feel that uniform is safer and somehow I only attract policemen or army guys. This movie brought me deeply painful and my broken heart
