I have to wonder if OH is using hydrogenated linseed oil to thicken the texture without using aluminum stearate. While it is likely more highly pigmented than most brands, its pigment load may not be as high as the viscosity suggests.
I've visited their factory. As far as I could tell, they used refined linseed oil with a lot of pigment. If you're ever in the Netherlands, they give tours. It's a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend!
Old Holland cram as much pigment as physically possible. They’re my favourite along with MH. 😊
