    You guys, along with the Stone Coat Guys, are AWESOME! Been following and researching and now we're ready to start this up in South Africa as I've yet to see anyone doing this over here. Yes..... We Are that backward and behind the rest of the world. 😂

    Its beautiful. I didn't think the copper would show in the black dye but was clearly wrong. I like the design and colors.. i have a similar sample board I made about a year ago.. Rhonda and Keith keep up the great work!

    I wish I had seen tgis weeks ago I used weather stripping and did not use the tape smh nightmare but it was a lesson learned.

    • @KristiSage
      @KristiSage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes… back when I saw this introduced on another channel, and no tape was used, I screeched because I just knew it would leave a sticky residue behind and epoxy hates that. 😝 I’m so glad the PROS, Rhonda, Kenny & Keith, showed us how to do this the right way! I trust no other in this business, (along with #SCC of course) and saving us all in the process. Sorry the info got to you late!

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It gives a really cool reaction in a exotic pour. Doesn’t really react much differently with the IPA. 😊

    HI Ronda! Beautiful work as always! I have a question: Did you use the matt UTC?!
    Until now the matt gave me a plastic feel but this one turned out really nice at the end! Probably the flood coat made the difference!

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We did use the matte UTC. With the mixing ratio we use I’ve never really thought it was plastic like. To me it takes away that high gloss “fake” look. I really think it makes the finish look more authentic 😊😊

    I’ve been trying ti figure out how long or to what consistency you should wait before pouring the different colors into the same container to prevent mixing of the colors and keep them separated.

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t want to wait too long or the products will get too thick in the bucket. Your colors are going to mix some, no matter what once you put them all in the bucket. The key is to pour very very slowly.

    I have a 14' x 12' fire place to do soon and my only concern is standing it up because epoxy only has a 2% flex.
    I'm thinking about screwing in the back 3 2x4s until it's stood up next to fireplace. I'm asking here because they attached a sheet of plywood.
    What's your thoughts?

    6:55 can you give example of "star burst" please I think I know what you mean but would like professional opinion

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s when the mica powders aren’t completely dissolved. The chunk of mica will sink and as the epoxy moves it leaves little streaks around it.
