Watched it twice so far. I definitely would like to see more of this type of content. And the gloss is where’s its at with this finish & love that you added diamond dust. Breathtaking, Rhonda. Nice job 💖
I've always wanted to do Sandstone. It's beautiful and would be a mat coat. Malachite is also something I love and that would be glossy. Love this technic. Thank you,
I definitely want to try this. The reason I stopped doing paint pouring was the waste factor. With the inks, there is a lot less waste, if any at all. This just might get me back into this art form again. I do love the look of gloss.
great idea... i have two of those... apparently they weren't made very well, because even though they were stored out of the weather, they came through the winter with the finish all blistered. so THIS is a perfect 'play time' thing to do while there is still 3 feet of snow on the ground!
Hi Rhonda - thanks for the wonderful video! I have really shifted to doing a lot more projects with the alcohol inks and I really love this medium! It's so gorgeous and each piece comes out so unique. I vote YES for more of these types of alcohol ink + epoxy videos from you. Congrats on your channel's growth - you really are racking up the subscribers. Also, yes - Erika and Clara are awesome artists and they both do great things with alcohol inks! Keep the Inspiration coming! Blessings to you.
@@RK3Designs Awesome! Can't wait! This one you did turned out so pretty. I love how the AI makes a watercolor like effect. I think I would lean towards a gloss finish. Now you've got me looking at TV tray tables! LoL!
Very pretty! A glossy finish for this. Since you're fairly new to alcohol inks you really oughta try Maribou Inks. And the rainbow Marabou is a holographic to use as the top coat with resin it's absolutely stunning! Sure definitely more projects like this
I love it the ideas keep popping for me with this cause I see things in the shapes very clearly like at one point I thought I saw a bird with wings in your piece looks like fun
I would like to see more of this medium! But I will watch anything you post because you are adorable and I love your work. I'm excited to start experimenting with epoxy!
I really like gloss and lots of shimmer!! 💖 I was thinking some light mist of an alcohol mica color would create a cool effect too! The blue was so pretty when you lightened it. 💙 It looks almost black at least on camera! Your hair was looking fun today!! 🤗
@@RK3Designs Oooo!!! Would love to see the results!! ❤ You're welcome! I hate when my hair gets in my eyes! I use a bendable barrette to make it behave!! 😉
Hey Rhonda you look fresh today ! Can you please do a pink sparkly princess dirty pour kinda like the unicorn one you did but more pink and dirty pour 💕 it gives me so much inspiration
Hi Rhonda. So I just watched this video for like the 5th time. Thought I would practice on some tiles and it makes the coolest effect. Kinda of geode, reminds me a little of your geode counter top. I way over did it, I don’t know when to stop but I was so intrigued by the technique. I did a drop of alcohol then a drop of ink and burned it off. Wanted to send u pic but can’t attach in comments. Thank you for inspiration
Just came across this- very cool! I’m guessing you leave the legs wood or do you paint those white? Also, with a flame that goes that high, I’m afraid my detectors will go off lol is it best to light it outside? Also what about fumes- shouldn’t you use a respirator when you light it on fire?
We just went live on a new website. We’re trying to work out the kinks to get my links posted. We should have them up by tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I wouldn’t do it on a countertop that’s installed in place unless you use the heat gun instead of a torch. And I do think the alcohol would run too much down the sink to use the fire method.
I have a question for you, Rhonda, and need some advice, please. After all the pours, and curing, and such, how do you get rid of the "drips/drops" of epoxy from the bottom edges? The first epoxy pour that I did, I waited until it was completely cured, and the drips/drops are rock solid, and would take a belt sander, or equivalent tool to get rid of. Did I wait too long, and should have trimmed them off when they were still soft, and uncured? Or, is this just a step that hasn't been in any of the videos that I have viewed thus far? So, if you could help me, and others possibly, that haven't been into epoxy as long yet, that would be GREATLY Appreciated, miss. Thanks.!.!.!.!
Try sticking that green or blue painters tape on the underside of the project, right up to the edge, before you pour epoxy on top. Then when project is dry, you just peel off the tape and all those drip things just pull right off, cause they are stuck to the tape like crazy, but not to your actual project. Works great for me.
Sure. The final flyover shots at the end of the video were videoed after it was dry. The alcohol ink was dry when I poured the flood coat so the design didn’t move. 😊😊.
B4 and after fire (8:57) don't look any different. You could have skipped the c3h8o and flame entirely (and eliminated the fire risk). Not sure what the purpose was. ???
What is your question? I’m sorry many comments get buried in the 1000’s we have to see. Email me your questions and I’ll be happy to help. Rhonda@rk3designs.com

Which epoxy did you use? Art Coat Epoxy by Stone Coat Countertops or Craft Coat by Stone Coat Countertops and is this equal parts? Thank you
We used Art Coat by Stonecoat countertop because the finish had so much white. 😊
Beautiful

Hi Rhonda! Do you have an affiliate link for the TV trays?
Would it be feasible to do this on bathroom vanity and into the sink or would it run terribly
I wouldn’t do it on a countertop that’s installed in place unless you use the heat gun instead of a torch. And I do think the alcohol would run too much down the sink to use the fire method.
So you don’t burn off the extra alcohol you put on smaller brushes?
I don’t burn it when I’m adding the detailing.
where do you normally get your alcohol from?
How much work time do you have to work with the paint
I have a question for you, Rhonda, and need some advice, please. After all the pours, and curing, and such, how do you get rid of the "drips/drops" of epoxy from the bottom edges? Could I do this on glass? A splash back?
You could do on glass. Would just ha e to prep Corp with a bonding primer first.
Gloss and yes more
I think the term is lighting it on fire.

Sure. The final flyover shots at the end of the video were videoed after it was dry. The alcohol ink was dry when I poured the flood coat so the design didn’t move. 😊😊.
