Hey you guys, this is Dan Jones from payden logistics. Your Midwesy friend. I have a video request. Can you guys please make a series of videos on how a shipper needs a broker and what do many shippers view brokers as necessary or as scavengers. Lol. Also shippers differ from A ford motor company shipper to a steel company shipper. This would be good to understand thier psychology

We cover this extensively in our course Freight Broker Basics. What shippers and carriers look for in business relationships. We can do some content on the topic as well.

Check out Kevin Hill at Freightwaves, DAT’s Dean Croke and Ken Adams, Chris Jolly, Trey Griggs & Blythe Blumlieve. If you’re connected with us, Benjamin and Nate on LinkedIn you’ll see them comment and share with others worth following.

Guys, thanks so much for giving a great portion of useful content! By the way, how much does it make sense to set up a Zoom-call with potential customers after making the 1st call? Is it worth doing it at all or it's better to jump into customers' need and challenges right on the 1st call? Please advise. Thank you

It’s not as common for video calls between shipper and broker, but if they’re willing to accept it and show up! I think it could be effective.

    Hey, guys!
Please, put a time stamp for when the sports topic ends.
No hate here. I watch these during work time and it would be very convenient to skip right to freight.
Thanks for the content you guys put out. It`s been infinitely helpful.

@@danjones7046 Bruh, I live in Republic of Moldova and I don`t watch nor do I play any. I couldn`t be further from american sports. I`ll find my small talk in something else. I`m just suggesting what I consider would make the experience better.

Hey Nate and Ben thanks for sharing in depth information about freight brokerage my big question is what protections should I have to avoid being ripped off by unfair customers that doesn’t want to pay invoices and also would you guys share a contract tips that I should include on my shipper broker agreement so that I protect myself benjamin here with bsnlogistics

You should be using a credit rating service such as Ansonia. Truckstop also has one with limited but useful info. Also, you'll want to start your customers out with lower credit limits and increase them over time as they pay their invoices on time.
