That’s a good idea! I’ll have to look into some companies that make them.
Thanks for the great TH-cam videos. I am a new broker and also a new carrier. I enjoy your videos because all of your content is very informative unlike other you tube videos.
Appreciate the feedback! Share us with your colleagues.
I wish that’s how I’ve worked😂 watching tv all day LOL
😂🤣😂
I think Amazon brokerage will soon be taking more and more customers from small brokers since they have large base of carriers and digital platform that dont cost much to operate so they can aford to charge lower margin then smaller brokers..
Great point! But, those types of brokerages tend to provide cheap rates but poor service and even worse on time %’s. They operate similar to CHR on price and price alone.
Great convo. Is it the standard for your shipper to send out loads to all of their brokers on a blasted email??
It can be. It’s very common with lumber companies for example.
Hey great podcast really learning a lot! I’m planning on signing up for the course here in a few days once I get back to home to FL from the road, but I had a few questions. Sorry for the long message in advance. So I’m currently a truck driver and want to start a brokerage doing step deck/flatbed loads since I’m familiar with it. But I’m trying to see if it’s possible for me to start cold calling and finding prospects while on the road and is it ok to ask the places I pick up at about helping them with loads and letting them know that I’m a broker or will that cause issues between the broker and my carrier if the shipper tells the broker about me asking for their business. Also let’s just say I’m on the road making phone calls and someone does give me a load on the spot will a laptop and cellphone be enough for me to do paperwork and get the load posted and do everything else needed? Or is it not doable? And should I be mentioning on my calls that I’m Ukrainian and can speak Ukrainian/Russian and a good amount of drivers are also so I can have better communication with the drivers or is that something shippers don’t care about? Please let me know your thoughts! Thanks guys! And by the way Go Eagles lol
You can certainly make calls on your down time as a driver. You should also be able to process paperwork. However, you don't want to prospect the shippers you are picking up from that a broker has booked you for. That is considered back solicitation. We can answer more questions on the upcoming episode if you'd like to provide more details.
@@Freight360appreciate the reply and yeah I thought that wouldn’t be right to do but figured I’d ask the question cause I’m constantly picking up from different shippers. And yes if you could please provide details I’ll be watching so if you could I’d appreciate it!
Exactly, this is where I am ,every morning I’m at with a cup of coffee 😊
👍
Nice banksy in the background
I finished my first week as a freight broker in training! I love this podcast!
Love to hear it! Congrats. How did you hear about us?
Hi this is harry can i get your email
As an aspiring freelancer, I needed to hear this
Glad you found us!
Is it worth it to have this starting out ?
You can sign up for a free one at Ascend
But you won’t need it until you have loads to move.
How can you confirm that they own the assets? Thanks!
Their are multiple tools out there like Highway, My Carrier Portal, and QuickScope. You can also verify with the insurance and Vin #. Shoot us an email at info@freight360.net and we can discuss it more in depth.
@@Freight360 okay Thanks
Love your stuff. Gives me the motivation to keep hammering forward. Some of these shipper are rude as hell. 😅. It's worth it tho.
For sure! Keep pushing.
Your energy is infectious. Subscribed and ready for more!
Thanks for joining us
Hi guys, thanks for answering my question last week. Made my day, haha. I had a question re: the discussion about frozen reefer LTLs. If I used one of those brokerages to help me move a frozen LTL, is that considered co-brokering/double brokering? Do I have to tell my customer that I'd be using another broker? How would this work liability/claim-wise? Thanks!
It would be co brokering since they’ll be a co brokerage agreement in place. You can find a sample agreement on our website. The claims are handled by them if one occurs. You’ll just facilitate information between this brokerage and your shipper.
We'll also break this down in detail on our next show.
I started my first day at a logistics company and was speaking to carriers and drivers over the phone for the first time and found it challenging but fun. I’m impressed by those who can do this job. ! I’m going to be tuning in to your podcasts as you guys seem to have valuable insight. I don’t have enough disposable income yet to purchase one of your courses 😂 but I’ll share your channel with my fellow coworkers. (: Thanks!
Thanks for joining us and check out our website. We have a ton of free content for you and your coworkers!
I expected this to have millions of views - great content fellas!
Love it! Thanks for the feedback
Ben, I apparently did this technique and was following up on either the quotes I had provided them or the orders they told me that are lined up but I got feedback saying that I am being an aggressive salesperson and I should wait until they actually need me. But here’s the contradiction, if I slow down then they might forget me and keep running operations as it is. Still kinda figuring out the safe zone to play with.
Every person is different, and part of the sales process is fine-tuning that ability to hear and understand the person on the other side of the pone, deeper than just the words being spoken. Shoot us an email at info@freight360.net and we would love to discuss this more with you.
Great video. Good stuff.
Much appreciated!
U guys r my TRUE motivation
Thanks for watching!
I have been in this business for 30ty years, its NEVER BEEN LIKE THIS!!!
It's definitely a tough time right now.
Still staying positive... But good feedback from the pros
Do you ever do live cold calling where we can hear you live and also the resistance from prospects what they say and your attempts to overcome it. That would be the most helpful by far.
All the bs sports talk in the beginning makes me not want to listen to your videos every single time. We’re here to listen about freight not get a sports recap. I can go to espn for that.
Thanks for watching! 11:50 is the start of the content. It's listed in the chapters. Or you can fast forward.
Good stuff!
Thanks for watching!
Great information.

Good shit
Thanks for watching!
This market is rough. I just started again with my agency. Companies are holding on to their wallets. Gotta keep grinding tho.. Great advice.
The market is cyclical, and if you're not grinding, you're doing it wrong! Keep it up, and thanks for watching
@@Freight360 thanks for the Big Dawg advice. Need the motivation from the heavy hitters.
Sorry my job doesnt consist of sitting on a phone
So what do you do?
Also curious what you’re doing to acquire customers? 🤔
When a potential customer says “we’re customer routed” what’s the best response to the that objection?
We answer this question in the next final mile episode coming out 6/25. However, if you head to our website and search cold calling you will find a bunch of content on this topic. Freight360.net
@@Freight360 thanks for your help!! You have a great channel, and I’m learning a lot!

Jai SHRI RADHE..
Great video, full of valuable information from start to finish! (apart from the sports part in the beginning lol)
Thanks for enduring the sports banter lol
Do you see changes coming is how trade settles with the advent of crypto like XRP that settles instantly vs using letters of credit which take time to settle
Great Advice!!!
Thanks!
Excellent video! You guys as brokers go through the same thing as we do as dispatchers, but 10x harder... I respect the grind, keep it going!👌
Thanks!
7:30 is where you start
Thanks for adding that
Other than direct contact to manufacturers not gonna help .its old style but still gold style
Awesome Man!!!
Thanks!!
This was fun to do! Looking forward to doing this again!
Thanks for joining us Sorav
I hope I’m spelling this correct but does Sorav work as an agent or does he run his own company? Essentially I’m wondering if he handles the entire load process including the billing and had to build company credit to work with carriers?
He's an agent with Benjamin. So he handles the entire load process. But not the billing or credit. It's plug and play with the brokerage for everything else like TMS, credit and software.
@@Freight360 ahhhh makes sense. Thank you! I jumped out and started a company having no experience with brokering. I was certainly wondering how he was managing all of this simultaneously. I would love some content on how you guys use systems to make your lives easier as far as dispatching loads when you have to cover 3 + by yourself! This might be too in depth though for TH-cam, not sure 🙇🏽
@@TBb____ we’ll cover that in an upcoming episode or video for sure! 👍
Bravo to you guys for keeping up the valuable content in each episode. This is a very valuable perspective to get, to see the progress made and where I'm still lacking. Got me to send a follow up email immediately. Thank you
Thanks for feedback!
Love the Glendale CA 😂
Glendale who? Never heard of her
How can we get in contact with you?
Leaving comments is a great way or shooting us an email at info@freight360.net
Thank you guys It was very helpful convo
Thanks for joining us!
Have been building my credit over the past 6 months. Definitely had to offer quickpay, even Zelle and Cashapp at times. What really helped me was doing LTL and getting accounts with companies like ABF, XPO, and RoadRunner because they report it to Ansonia. I officially show up as 95 CS and 15 DP on DAT!
Great work
Very well said.
Thanks for the feedback!
How to find reefer LTL carriers that can haul frozen commodities? I tried to source through google and I did find out some but then they don’t do long hauls or service particular regions. Reefer LTL shipments are very tough to cover in comparison to dry LTL shipments since you can get instant quotes and capacity through platforms like beyon or mothership. I know you guys can suggest something good.
That’s mostly a blowoff objection to work through. Ask more questions, how much of your freight moves on your assets? What % is FOB?
Thank you for your reply. I'm struggling to find shippers. My company provided next to nothing training. Everything I've learnt from is from you guys. I try to get as much knowledge I can from guy guys.
How do you get produce shippers, as most of them have their own fleet or FOB routed
Trucks breakdown and last-minute loads need recovered. The best approach to these objections is to ask them how they handle when one of their trucks breaks down or doesn't show and that load needs to go.
Check out today's final mile for the answer to your question
I have only 10 months with my MC and I already have six inspections. However, I’m pretty sure you guys are wrong because when you don’t have insurance automatically, your MC is deactivated.
Your MC is not tied to your insurance. Only your bond is a requirement of the FMCSA to have an MC.
