A lot of appreciation for Deftones songs can come from playing them, even Teenager. Mein’s chords and strumming patterns are really fun to play, far from boring.

Because of Radiohead and Deftones I have faith in modern rock/metal. They push limits of what our ears are used to hearing on constructive mainstream music. Organizing genres and separate sounds into one big melting pot of nostalgia.
I love the lowriders and the breakdancing and the BMX rider and how it takes place on top of a city building it goes perfect with this song exactly how I would imagine it in my mind

I think I officially fell in love with Deftones watching this video. It showed me more about their musical diversity than anything else, and I LOVE IT!
Not exactly a fan of Deftones, but i always thought Mein was their best song or one of. Excellent drums arrangements by Cunningham, deep minimalistic lyrics, and those dissonant riffs combined with Moreno's unique interpretation.

Now most of the time, he resides in New Zeland with his family. Ive heard that when you are in the process of becoming a citizen of certain country you cant leave that country i guess thats why he couldnt be in this video.

It's easily their darkest, most challenging album. Some of their best, some of their worst. It's pummeling and relentless.
