This is when I really became a Deftones fan. They're an incredible band and they're a breath of fresh air from a lot of the bullshit that is topping the charts these days
I love Saturday Night Wrist as an album. It shows the band's more melodic, experimental, and slower stuff while also representing what the band was going through at the time. Especially with songs like this one and Rivierè.
The first time I heard this song was the night of October 21, 2006.I didn’t know it then but this song would hold a specific and special meaning. That next morning, the 22nd, I’d pull up to my house after spending the night at a friends house only to be greeted with my whole entire family outside in the front yard waiting for me. My mom told me my sister Was in a fatal car wreck. I don’t remember much after on that day but looking back, It’s like Deftones knew I was going to need this song at that time. I know this song probably isn’t about losing someone but not only was there a hole in the Earth, there was also a hole in my heart.
One of the only bands that I can honestly say are putting out great music well after their 3&4th album. Hope they stay around for a long time and release at least 20 more albums!
U cant begin to believe how much of me i found and saved with this album, thank you. Im 37 now, had my fair share of it all, i never realized how much i leaned on u for... everhthing, sad, hapoy, angry, mad, in love, alone. Thanmm you for being the words i couldnt say the noise i couldnt make.
I've always had a strange problem with my nervous system after a bad concussion. It's hard to orient in space because I don't feel the ground below me. This one hits home.
This was the first song I ever heard from Deftones, and one of their most unique songs, I was truly impacted by how heavy and melodic a band can be back when I first saw the music video in 2006.
legitimately a staple of saints row, nothing compares to blowing through cities and past bridges in saints row 2 while listening to this song, the two just go together hand and hand.
The masterpiece that is damond eyes is what turned me on to this band but on this journey back through their history I've discovered that this was where the greatness truly started. This is a criminally underrated album.
Lol. One of the few. Most Mexican talent today is dead. They only do stupid Banda and Corridos crap. I'm Mexican, but detest that music with the passion. And people think, I shouldn't listen to Rock or Metal only because I'm not white. Lmfao.
@@yourdaddyonceler1239 truth. All I hear on mexican music nowadays is that one fake ass guitar music shit everywhere. Guys thinking their the masters of Mexican music and acoustic guitar just because they can sing and play the same chords over and over again. Mexican musicians and listeners need to stop conforming and move with other things because the Mexican community have a lot of creativity that's suppressed and aren't using it the right way. They should stop living in the fear of losing their heritage and move on to new things without conforming because remembering where you come from is something you'll never forget.
wow i can't find the right words to describe how perfect their music sounds.! one moment i get blown away by the drumming, the next, my ears just melt and get lost in the rhythm of the guitar...and this one i love it all i gotta get me some instrumental tracks!
I hate the fact that beautiful music like this is underrated to a point that any artist in the rap or hip hop industry making music with lyrics about drugs, sex, and money can get 100 times the views in under a month than these guys can in 6 years since the release of this video. I really hate this generation of music. I'm happy Deftones keeps releasing albums that amaze me every time with their beautiful sound of music and lyrics. Keep up the good work, can not wait for their new album coming this year.. Hopefully. Till then, can't wait. R.I.P Chi Cheng
TheGero95 of course Deftones has drug and sex references, but their lyrics aren't like "big booty hoes, or I wanna fuck that bitch all day" and shit like that.. Their sexual lyrics are well passionate like Beauty School or Digital Bath. Their drug related lyrics aren't like "I wanna smoke weed all day (like some rap or hip hop songs just all like that), or I'm in love with the coco song" Their drug lyrical content is well shallow, more like he talks about it than bragging of that's all they do all day like in rap songs.
Jesse Morales I won't comment on any genre specifically as i listen to almost all of 'em but being a hardcore deftones fan , I think their music needs to be heard more . it's not that they aren't famous or anything but you can't compare their fanbase to the fucked up commercial music that comes out these days like 1D and its like. Yet I think its good in a way, atleast these guys haven't started making commercial music like others . The new album is gonna be dope as fuck !!
Lmao I was making a joke a while back about how Fat Mac reminded me of Fat Chino Then skinny Mac would be Chino back in the day Then Chino back when he was blonde ( younger days, not that shit he got recently after Gore lol ) would be Country Mac lmao

You know, I really like how god is supposed to judge you but all I've been seeing in christianity terms is a bunch of equally or more judgmental assholes creating wars to please the all forgiving and all understanding. You know, now that I mention it, killing others in fear of your creator sounds alot like another religion I know, minus the upside down crosses and baby's blood being drank
Just saw Deftones in ABQ, after 20 years lol it was the best concert. I was disappointed they didn’t play “you’ve seen the butcher” but overall a fucking blast.
Im so happy that the spirit of "CHI LING DAI CHENG" is to find in many ways in my cd board,.ones in deftones itself,.,.then a korn song called chi,.the song RISK is dedicated to him,the song DAI THE FLU got the "dai" from chi's name,.( at first the song called after the flu ) ,.the album THE PARIAH ,THE PARROT, THE DELUSION by DREDG is dedicated to chi too,..
I click on this video and all I see are comments about Chino being fat... This is what's wrong with society, it's always about looks now, just enjoy the goddamn music -_-
+Ingmar Fris It's not about me being his personal trainer, being fat is not healthy, it gives you more risks of having diabetes, a heart attact. And well... it's kinda my bussines because he is the singer of one of my favourite bands, and I don't want nothing bad to happend
Yesterday last night, I don’t remember much about my dream but the only thing that stuck with me was specifically this part of the song that played over and over. 2:53
I know what you mean… hearing a song in a dream playing over and over. Mostly happens to me all the time in good way. Most of the time, when I dream about “that” specific song, I wake up and I have to listen to it. It’s like mandatory thing for me. I feel happy, sad, and nostalgic. Lately, the song that was in my dream is called “Sunday by Winter”. Reminds me of October 2022.
I love the part where he says “I hates all of my friends” in the Apple Music version he only says it once I noticed the says the verse twice in the music video
+Jovanni Ruiz Are you serious? I'm a Christian & I'm in recovery from drugs.. I work a program and the foundation of said program is my relationship with my God; it's what keeps me sane and sober. Not that it's any of your business but before getting clean I spent many years in & out of jail and prison. You have nothing but time in there and yes, I did read the Bible a lot. Now, referring back to my "Chino is a God in my book" comment.. Yep, a God to the music industry in my opinion. Google "God definition" and you will surely find "an adored, admired, or influential person." I stand by what I said :)

i love that “woo” in the background when the instrumental starts becoming aggressive
This jam never gets old, this guys rock
that yell at 0:12 and at other choruses just makes me so happy. I don’t know why. It’s so addicting.
Liking this so you come back and listen to this amazing song🤎
Hope life is treating you well, fellow stranger.
Reminds me of punk music, especially The Clash Death or Glory.
The feels are strong withing this song!
The guitar is beautiful in this song
2024 anyone ?
Here I am
Here 🔥🔥🔥
100%. Deftones will always be #1 for me
No❤
Listened to this at least once a day
Chino will always have one of the most unique voices in metal, the instrumentals are so ambient and compliment each other and his voice so well!
Being high and listening to it on 2023 still sounds amazing like always!!
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “The Wave” by SLT 🤘🎶🔥
Same here brother!
Can’t wait to make a video listening to this album high.
Just have to do Adrenaline and the self titled first

deftones is a gift from god. im so glad to be alive at the same time as them (RIP Chi, miss you so much.)
I love deftones so much, this album was with me thru some shit about 14 years ago. It hurts to listen to this album sometimes but it will always be my favorite. I finally got to see them a handful of years ago. And now my 14 year old likes them, and her favorite song is cherry waves ❤
This is when I really became a Deftones fan. They're an incredible band and they're a breath of fresh air from a lot of the bullshit that is topping the charts these days
Drug free 8 month, this music saved me some time from drugs. Love this band
How’s that going? I’ve been on and off for 7 years. But I’ve been free 1 year and plan to stay that way
I love Saturday Night Wrist as an album. It shows the band's more melodic, experimental, and slower stuff while also representing what the band was going through at the time. Especially with songs like this one and Rivierè.
I’m starting a new religion called Deftonianity. I’m a Deftonian
I would like to join please 🙏🏾
The first time I heard this song was the night of October 21, 2006.I didn’t know it then but this song would hold a specific and special meaning. That next morning, the 22nd, I’d pull up to my house after spending the night at a friends house only to be greeted with my whole entire family outside in the front yard waiting for me. My mom told me my sister Was in a fatal car wreck. I don’t remember much after on that day but looking back, It’s like Deftones knew I was going to need this song at that time. I know this song probably isn’t about losing someone but not only was there a hole in the Earth, there was also a hole in my heart.
This song is so sweet and miserable and sad and blissful and salvation at the same time

This made me laugh harder than I thought I would
Them Deftones boys are just plain cool man. Everytime.
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “The Wave” by SLT 🤘🎶🔥🎧🎸

This was the first song I ever heard from Deftones, and one of their most unique songs, I was truly impacted by how heavy and melodic a band can be back when I first saw the music video in 2006.
Bumping Deftones in 2024
this song is like discovering gold
When I was younger I thought Chino was Batista
Lmao!! Super underrated comment hahaha
You just literally made me laugh out loud 😄
I just randomly saw that comment and it made my day haha
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
chino has mexican heritage (spanish in other words, mostly probably anyway) and batista has greek, and the two countries are pretty close in europe.
First time I heard this song was on Saint's Row 2 GenX radio back in '08 😂 so good!
that guitar at the end always leaves me in awe
legitimately a staple of saints row, nothing compares to blowing through cities and past bridges in saints row 2 while listening to this song, the two just go together hand and hand.
“i hate all of my friends; they all lack taste sometimes” felt that too hard
The masterpiece that is damond eyes is what turned me on to this band but on this journey back through their history I've discovered that this was where the greatness truly started. This is a criminally underrated album.
This song is so underated.
Mexican talent baby.
A huevo! 😎🤙
Simona la barrigona.
And Chinese I believe but hey the mixture of GENIUS!!!! That is Chino Moreno!!!!
So nice to see Chi. RIP. ;-(
Why RIP?
ChriPusch Er, you know he died, right? Like, almost a couple of years ago?
Oh my bad..... I thought you were referring to moreno... oops.
Randall Dubin no, 1 yr ago today. too much hydro for you?
He's not dead
wow i can't find the right words to describe how perfect their music sounds.! one moment i get blown away by the drumming, the next, my ears just melt and get lost in the rhythm of the guitar...and this one i love it all i gotta get me some instrumental tracks!
that last riff was just letting everything out and finally coming to peace
I always thought this album felt apocalyptic. It fits really well in 2020.
It very much is. Between this and Rapture and Xerces.
This song, heck this album was when the band was about to break up. They had many problems dating back to self titled.

LOVE this song
No, it’s a reference to the type of black hole.
I've ALWAYS loved this song!🌈I'm in a different world when Chino sings ❤😊💖
The talent in this band is off the charts wow! Love these guys
I love this song😎 and his voice ugh 😍😍😍😘
An HD video uploaded in 2009? The Deftones really ARE ahead of their time. lol
+[thr33x gaming] maybe cuz youtube found 2005? the video came out on 2006? ;)
+[thr33x gaming] But it's not HD
+Nils neh TH-cam videos were all shit quality until about 2011/2012 iirc.
i’ve seen a 1080p video that was uploaded in 2007 lol
I hate the fact that beautiful music like this is underrated to a point that any artist in the rap or hip hop industry making music with lyrics about drugs, sex, and money can get 100 times the views in under a month than these guys can in 6 years since the release of this video. I really hate this generation of music.
I'm happy Deftones keeps releasing albums that amaze me every time with their beautiful sound of music and lyrics. Keep up the good work, can not wait for their new album coming this year.. Hopefully. Till then, can't wait. R.I.P Chi Cheng
Rap is good, there are rappers who rap meaningful stuff.
Jesse Morales you know Deftones lyrics have countless references to drugs and sex right?
TheGero95 of course Deftones has drug and sex references, but their lyrics aren't like "big booty hoes, or I wanna fuck that bitch all day" and shit like that.. Their sexual lyrics are well passionate like Beauty School or Digital Bath. Their drug related lyrics aren't like "I wanna smoke weed all day (like some rap or hip hop songs just all like that), or I'm in love with the coco song" Their drug lyrical content is well shallow, more like he talks about it than bragging of that's all they do all day like in rap songs.
Jesse Morales rap is good
Jesse Morales I won't comment on any genre specifically as i listen to almost all of 'em but being a hardcore deftones fan , I think their music needs to be heard more . it's not that they aren't famous or anything but you can't compare their fanbase to the fucked up commercial music that comes out these days like 1D and its like. Yet I think its good in a way, atleast these guys haven't started making commercial music like others . The new album is gonna be dope as fuck !!
This song can't be more perfect. Every time I hear it I find something new to love about it
Chino didn't get fat, he was cultivating mass.
Lmao I was making a joke a while back about how Fat Mac reminded me of Fat Chino
Then skinny Mac would be Chino back in the day
Then Chino back when he was blonde ( younger days, not that shit he got recently after Gore lol ) would be Country Mac lmao
Gluttony is a sin he needs to loose weight. Besides it's unhealthy and unsightly. I still love his music though.
are you jesus?.. i thought jesus was the one too judge the living and the dead?? if ur not then shut the fuck up about ur bible shit until u read it fully... thank u
according too my understand of the bible it is a guide how too live ur life as a better person wether u follow it or not. And the end what matters is if we live as a good person... judgeing others by their appreance is not beening a good person... so i guess ill see u in hell :D

I'm 31 years old and I cannot believe I didn't do a deep dive on Deftones til this summer. Better late than never!
How deep did you go? Are you at hollow earth theory yet? 🗽🦖
Just saw Deftones in ABQ, after 20 years lol it was the best concert. I was disappointed they didn’t play “you’ve seen the butcher” but overall a fucking blast.
I love you've seen the butcher...
This is what's wrong with society, it's always about looks now, just enjoy the goddamn music -_-
No shit, mick jagger isn't the best looking but the music him and the stones put out is great.
That's true, but being fat is not healthy tho
+JT Mann Agreed
+Daniel Del Ángel Yeah but is Chino's health your business? Are you his personal trainer?
+Ingmar Fris It's not about me being his personal trainer, being fat is not healthy, it gives you more risks of having diabetes, a heart attact. And well... it's kinda my bussines because he is the singer of one of my favourite bands, and I don't want nothing bad to happend
If you're listening to this album in 2022 you're doing something right.
Gracias por existir " deftones" 🎶🎤
1:50 gives me some kind of chills I can't even explain
This probably was Deftones best album imo. Could really sense them evolving into something. Rest in piece Chi!
One of my favorite Deftones albums by far. Helped me through a rough time when this came out. 🤘🏼
He could weigh 450 lbs.. Chino is still a God in my book.
+Jovanni Ruiz
Are you serious? I'm a Christian & I'm in recovery from drugs.. I work a program and the foundation of said program is my relationship with my God; it's what keeps me sane and sober. Not that it's any of your business but before getting clean I spent many years in & out of jail and prison. You have nothing but time in there and yes, I did read the Bible a lot. Now, referring back to my "Chino is a God in my book" comment.. Yep, a God to the music industry in my opinion. Google "God definition" and you will surely find "an adored, admired, or influential person." I stand by what I said :)
