I took away dairy...day 2 = no sneezing or runny nose in the morning...Immediately I started losing weight again. -2.8 in two days. so far so good. AND, Im not hungry. I usually wake up starving. Today I woke up alert. The clear head and no drippy nose, is fantastic.

Omg....I didn't even realize those lumps under my skin had a name...lipedema! I had tons under my skin on arms, legs, abdomen. But since starting lchf and the carnivore, losing 72 lbs , reversing T2D....all of those lumps magically disappeared! Did not know it was lipedema. Great, great interview ❤️👍

With regards to the phlegm and dairy, the body makes mucus in order to trap what it perceives as foreign antigens; that is why mucus or phlegm increases in some people with dairy. I get the same!

Funny but true a couple days ago I was cleaning out underneath my bed and found a box with the womens day with your picture on the front, that I bought and never read, something caught my attention this time so I read it and then found your blog and then this TH-cam channel, It’s literally like a light bulb went off over my head, I’ve been on keto for 6 weeks and immediately lost 8 lbs the first 4 weeks but have stayed the same for the last couple weeks and still craving the sweets, I had a meltdown and ate half a box of vanilla wafers a few days ago. I was eating an apple every day and a couple squares of dark chocolate and almonds every day and raw vegetables for lunch every day but craving more almonds and dark chocolate so today I have only had meat eggs and cheese like you say and haven’t craved any nuts or dark chocolate , carnivore may be the answer for me, thank you, Oh and what the heck did they do to your face on that magazine cover LOL 🤪

Cheeeeeeeeese!!! Aggghhhhh!!! If there is cheese in the house I must eat it. I must eat all of it, right now. It doesn't matter whether there are 4 oz of it in the fridge or 4 pounds, its true home is in my stomach and I must put it there. So when I decided to try a carnivore diet (started on Feb 1st) I kept the Kerrygold butter, and the whipping cream for my coffee, but made cheese a non-option. And it seems that if I don't have it in the house, I don't miss it! So I totally understand about Kelly's "peanut butter ghost", LOL! For me, it's a cheese ghost.
I have been fat my whole life, and never did well on Weight Watchers because there was too much choice. Letting me choose from among a variety of options is just courting disaster. I am definitely an abstainer when it comes to dieting.

Stopping cheese and decreasing dairy has helped so much! I am not dairy free however I bet I have 15% of what I used to have. I have not returned to eating cheese at all. I have probably 2 Tbs cream each day for coffee and the occasional 2-3 Tbs sour cream. 1 Tbs butter on my weekly ribeye. That’s it. More beef patties & more gelatin has helped me stay cheese free. Pls try zero cheese for 2 weeks and very little cream and let me know if you can tell a difference. I also think peanut butter cause me to puff. 🤷‍♀️ I’ve tested it. I know I shouldn’t be eating that 😩 weak! Working on it.

Both wheat and dairy contain opioid peptides that influence endorphin receptors in the brain. These peptides are addictive and can contribute to asthma, obesity, apathy, numbness etc. So, this could be another reason, besides bloating, gas, lactose intolerance, etc, why dairy is problematic for some people. Everyone is different and unique. I also learned recently that there's a difference between the A1 milk that's consumed mostly here in America and A2 milk. I can't explain all the science stuff--literally just heard about it on a podcast the other night-- but basically, it's the A1 milk that's more addictive with respect to these opioid peptides and A2 isn't as bad. Anyway, food for thought! Great discussion!!

Casein and whey are two proteins in dairy. Those who are lactose intolerant mostly suffer from gastrointestinal issues and do fine with lactose-free dairy products. Many are intolerant to both proteins and will get skin breakouts, eczema, gastrointestinal issues, swelling, etc. I read a study where casein was found to be as addictive as cocaine. Those who are allergic to the trifecta (myself included) of dairy, wheat & soy is because body cannot differentiate between all three on a cellular level.

  • @w1975b
    @w1975b 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

If it's the casein (protein = A1 vs A2 dairy), A2 milk is available now from a company. The A1 casein/protein is what makes many people crave dairy as well as have negative reactions.

I just don't understand the issue with heavy whipping cream. All the days and weeks of carnivore OMAD for me were possible because I had heavy cream once or twice with my coffee. No heavy cream, I ended up eating 2 or times a day, i.e. more food. Very strange. However. I'll give it up to see if helps with weight loss.

I love dairy however my body does not tolerate it. I can eat butter and ranch dressing fine but that's it. I used to eat a whole tub of sour cream with stevia and vanilla. I miss cheese but the aftermath is not worth it.

I was never a moderator even while keto, that is what my downfall was. Yes, I was the same with Katrina. My husband and I went out to dinner tonight and he mentioned that he misses having the sweet snacks. I'll make him some but I know that I can make something and not eat it now. I'm having trouble eating enough at one sitting but I actually ate a 12 oz. steak tonight!! It is a little weird being on the other side where I'm not forcing myself to eat but I'm trying to be conscious of eating enough.

I’m pretty sure my wife has lipedema. How would I go about bringing up the subject, we live apart and she thinks my carnivore diet is "abhorrent".
Your quote, "One is too many, and ten is never enough", sums up addiction brilliantly

that is a tough one. I see Lipedema daily but don't say a word because I don't want to put anyone on the defensive. IF you think she might be receptive, perhaps show her photos (there are some great ones in this video - or you can google image search them!) and see if she thinks that it might be her.

Virginia is also a state where raw milk is illegal. I buy pick up my raw milk allotment subscription from a drop site each week. What I had to do was buy a cow share from the farmer and then he charges my credit card every month for milk. It’s on the principle of owning part of the cow so therefore entitled to the milk it produces. The monthly charge could be seen as helping to pay for the animal’s upkeep.

Some people have a problem with hard cheeses because its a high histamine food. One day I unknowingly ate high histamine foods all day...cheese , sardines , tuna , beef stock/broth , cottage cheese . Next day I felt like I had bad bronchitis with swollen stuffed up sinus. So people , might not be lactose intolerance or allergy. Taking vitamin C helps alot because it's a natural anti histamine . ....from my experience ! 😉

Yes. You can be a moderator. It takes work but it works. It’s based on neuroplasticity. What fires together wires together. I was taught in NLP class to pick a fav food. I was told to have daily if I wanted but each time I had to throw away a 🎉portion of it increasing the amount I throw away each time. My weakness was potato chips. I swear I couldn’t even throw the crumbs away. I would dust the packet iin my mouth after finishing it. It felt initially painful to throw away couple of chips the first time. But then it got easier and easier. I couldn’t believe myself. It just took a week. I was able to put way after having a few pieces.
Anyways, carnivore/ketovore are super healthy way of life. You naturally feel empowered around those addictive foods.

A lot of the problem is pasteurization! I agree that dairy should be eaten moderately if at all, but have personally experienced much better results with raw milk cheese. I think raw dairy makes a big difference! But I'll admit it is still hard to moderate. 😅

Raw cheese is a súper food. Its proteins takes 45 minutes to absorb, while meat ones can take 5 hours.
If you can to europe, where most of the cheese is raw, and tell that it isnt healthy, and they will laught at you.

22:26 THIS. IS. ME!! It’s uncanny. I hate having to self-regulate like that as well. I wonder what the underlying cause is, that some of us just cannot moderate. My gut feeling is it’s not about “will power” or anything like that. I feel like a compulsion, like OCD or something almost. There is no resisting that compulsion long-term.
