Wow! You nailed me! I'm 64 and had to retire early t 62 due to chronic pain. I've been in pain prison for a very long time. I was a nurse and never fully understood this syndrome. You explained it so well. I was experiencing the symptoms and didn't know how to find the jailer's key. Started Dr Berry's diet 2 weeks ago. I'm already feeling tons better, joints are feeling better, headaches are gone and flushed face too. Better late to the party than never arriving. Thanks!
Glad to hear it! I was told decades ago that I had insulin resistance and given a script for metformin. It caused a lot of abdominal pain, so I was unable to continue taking it. No other treatment or measures were ever suggested.
Hi honey! I’m 57 and doing keto for 1.5 years. I’ve regained my joint and mental health!! I’m ready to try carnivore. Kelly makes it look doable!!! You and I could have 30 more healthy years if we stay on this path!!!!! So much great life to live! ❤❤❤
Carnivore stopped my migraines and IIH. After 1 year carnivore, starting bed bound, I am back to strength training. It’s amazing a year ago laughing could make me pass out. And now I am able to lift weights 4-5 days a week. It’s amazing!! Thanks for another great video Kelly!!
The rules change at different age and hormone levels. Also, different body types...endomorph, mesomorph, etc. As a 70 year old endomorph woman, I am finding that everything is so much more difficult than ever. I have lost a lot of muscle due to old age sarcopenia (muscle loss), and my joints hurt more than ever. I just escaped a extremely bad situation of living with my narcissistic older sister who would flip into violent rages, putting me in a scary homeless position. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ I have a roof over my head, but my body is in stress overload, with my belly swelling up from cortisol and not eating right. Please keep me in prayers. Thank you. 🙏✝️💜😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
I’m happy to hear that your in a safer place. Your body will take time to learn how to relax so small actions will help like getting into the word daily, going for a walk, just sit outside and listen to nature. I hope you’ve continued to improve.
I needed this today ! My doctor just told me to eat 3 meals with 50 carbs each and 2 snacks with 25 carbs each ! All of the really dangerous carbs ... I asked what my a1c level & my fasting insulin , she straight faced said we don't need to check them ... WHAT ?! but wanted me to start a pill and in 1 month wants to put me on insulin if my readings don't come down.... I told her I'm going to follow my own plan and if I can prove her wrong, she has to do research on the newest study's on low carb, keto and carnivore diets .... I can't wait to hear her excuses of why their all so bad ...
Never trust doctors or vets when it comes to food! 2 vets recommended purina when I was feeding my puppies and kitty raw meat! Ridiculous, I never went back there. I found a holistic vet, she recommends feeding them raw.
This was absolutely THE BEST explanation I've heard. I have been sooo depressed after doing carnivore for about 7 months now only to see weight gain. I was to the point of giving up, even though I had many non-scale victories. I really needed to hear this today to get me back on track. THANK YOU! You are precious and I love how you break it down, making it easier to understand. ❤ I'm keeping this video in my favorites to go back to when I need the encouragement. 😉👍
@@happytrails11 Well, from what I've gathered by several of her videos, some of us may actually have to eat smaller meals throughout the day with fat being more of a priority than protein. So... Guess I will be trying that. It's frustrating for sure. But I figured I've been insulin resistant for a very long time and it's going to take a long time to fix. Wishing you all the best!
@BeckyS thanks so much and you as well. The journey has just begun! Thankful to those who have gone before us and are willing to guide and share their wisdom!
Thanks to you Kelly and Dr Chaffee. I've lost 45kilos in 12 months and now a size 12. Never felt better in my life. Love your work. Carnivore forever !!
This is an awesome presentation! You just described everything my husband has and is going through! No doctor EVER talked about insulin. Through the grace of God, I have discovered Carnivore.
In the hospital, I could not eat for 2 weeks. The nurses were shocked that my sugars were very high 200's. I only suited on ice chips and was on IT'S. I hit 300 in my sugars. They kept shooting me with insulin. I asked how it helped me since I am insulin resistant. Carnivore brought my sugars down to 107. It goes up with inflammation and meds. You are inspiring. I hope I heal, lose weight and sleep.
Kelly, this is amazing! Your presentation style is so appealing! You make the information very understandable with such great analogies and story-telling and uplifting encouragement and smiles! Thank you for the gift of helping so many, including me. We love you and your positive spirit!
@@myzerocarblife what about grief? I have had so much stress and anxiety trying to save my son from cancer for 7 years. He died in late last year and I'm so broken down over his passing. My hair was falling out a few months before he died, I had really bad sleep and eating. I never over ate. I have always been an omad type of person without trying. In saying that it wasn't a huge meal either. I have never been a big eater. I did enjoy a bag of chips and a soda in the evening: but not every day. But after my son died I finally got on the scales and I was 307lbs 😞. I knew I had to start now to help heal my body and hair to grow back. I have been on it now 2 months and it's been a yo-yo up and down on the scale. I am now getting inflammation in my hands and feet a lot when I never had it before. Usually at night time while I sleep, which wakes me up. But dissappears as I pee it out during the day. I don't know if my electrolytes are off. I need help. I just have no one around me that knows about this diet. Thank you
@@ninjaunderdog7758 I'm so sorry about your son. That kind of heart-breaking, soul-crushing grief is such a stressor on our bodies. Be kind to yourself. You've been thru a lot.
@@salliestephens1252 Thank you for the kind words. I'm trying not to be hard on myself or stress out, however, it's not easy. I do at the same time need to heal my body from all the stress it has gone through. It's not easy, unfortunately.
Lift weights and walk>I walk 7 days a week and occasionally lift weights. I have been carnivore for almost two years and you speak the truth. You have given good wise advise.
Your energy is awesome 👏 5years ago I became Keto lost 140 lbs Then decided I needed to do more …so off to the gym I went been lifting heavy ever since. Then 2 1/2 years go I found you Kelly what a beautiful charm you are 💯💯💯 love love your channel. So now besides doing more carnivore I fast 💨 a lot not just IF but so far have gone and have done a week 121 hours going to try for 2weeks 😊 also trying to drop a few more pounds just to look spectacular. Iam 63 most people think I 43 and I okay with that.
I have spent a year trying to put into words exactly what you have said in this video. Every word is perfect. Outstanding resource for me to give to those folks who are willing to accept my successful 70 pound weight loss. I am so sad that most of my family and friends have no interest in how or why I have achieved this great accomplishment. I am so grateful to you for this video. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Be proud of yourself every day! After such an amazing weight loss, continue your self-transformation and beautify yourself even more! Learn about makeup, flattering hairstyles, classic chic clothing, and enjoy life in your new body. I hate to say this, but when people don't comment on your weight loss, there may be alot of jealously involved. Keep evolving! Take care! Congratulations on your change of life!❤
Very typical. Most ppl don't want to know. Their ignorance covers them in being able to say they didn't know. Change and personal responsibility is not easy for most.
Ruth here- I always found if I cheated on a diet and ate the chocolate or whatever…if I stressed less about it, forgave and forgot, got back on track. It usually didn’t affect me as much.
Nearly crying here Kelly! You’ve opened my eyes in a new way. Having suffered the loss of my Mom in the last year and broken my foot in three places my expectations have not been realistic Re: carnivore alone. Lack of adequate sleep and increased stress have kept me from reaching my goals. Thank you for all you do! Hugs!
TJaynes - so sorry for the loss of your dear Mom. I lost my Mom also, the day after Christmas. It's been hard, but they would want us to keep moving forward and take care of ourselves. You're in my prayers.
Hello, Sharing my opinion after 2 years on the Carnivora and ketogenic diet (2 years between dietary transition (removing complex carbohydrates (Natural) as I removed the industrialized ones on the first day of the dietary change) 1. Changing foods requires time for the body to begin adapting to new food consumption in this case (Protein and Fat) the body requires time to change its source of energy burning, because when we are eating carbohydrates our body is always in despair total. This can happen on a carnivorous or ketogenic diet, but in an intelligent way. 2. Every Body has a health problem to correct (No one is the same when it comes to health problems, even if they have the same disease) 3. Gaining weight or losing weight can be an easier task for some people, this is due to their body, which may have a problem in a certain organ. (Which was not diagnosed by laboratory tests) due to several factors 4. The beginning of the diet is very delicate, as we want to heal quickly, at least overnight, (We can start the improvement process when we change our diet on the first day, but we will not be cured overnight. It is not possible to cure years of a wrong diet in just a few days or even months or years, it depends on one body to another) Total transition I believe in around 5 years, For those who are only on the carnival diet along with the ketogenic diet, interspersing the two in the same period 5. Observing your evolution is very important, be it in the physical or mental aspect (Mental Energy, Relaxation in your daily activities, patience, emotional control, concentration, among others. Your physical energy, Desire to do some exercises, among others) even if it is moderate, the simple fact of walking, I don't do running exercise, I don't think it's healthy. due to several factors, one of which is that research has shown that most athletes who run and play football or do all the exercises that use the heart more have more heart attacks, perhaps because of the carbohydrates, etc... 6. The most important of all (Follow your Ancestral Food instinct, which was taken from humans) Which ? (When you want to eat more protein, eat, when you want to eat more fat, eat. When you don't want to eat, don't eat) Do you want to gain weight? Exercise with moderate weight I hope I contributed in some way
I am a medical coder and I read that misinformation all day: eat less/avoid red meat. Recommend plant based diet w/ whole grains. And statins and meds galore! I even saw one today where dr said “avoid animal fat” for an overweight older woman with T2 Diabetes w/ hyperglycemia on insulin and thyroid issues.
I started in 2016. Figured I've tried everything else & it hasn't worked, so why not. There weren't any crazy ingredients or pills needed&I was hooked! I turned 50 on Friday and I'm not on ANY medications. Thankful for you&the FREE information you provide. ❤
I just watched Dr. Saladino talk about how important he has come to realize that getting enough sleep is, and he can't stress it enough. You are killing it, Kelly!
I wish someone could figure out how Dr. Saladino seems to excel and his blood work is perfect with all that Fructose. And address it as a 1 off or tear it down.
Kelly, you are PHENOMENAL!! I realize you’re not a doctor, but you have a doctorate in EXPERIENCE. Thank you for the absolute best explanation of this mechanism of insulin resistance, carb processing, and lifestyle changes we need to make to ensure our success in getting healthy. Saving and sharing with loved ones. ☺️💖
I cannot thank you enough for this particular video. I have been eating very low carb to extremely low carb all the way to carnivore, for over 1 1/2 yrs, and the belly fat will not budge. I've been beyond frustrated trying to figure this out. I have a very severe back injury from childhood and have been in chronic pain since I was 13. I'm now 58. My body is in a constant state of trying to heal. So many things you said have helped me to get a better understanding of what could be the problem and what I can change, even with my limitations, from here to hopefully improve things. I feel hopeful again for the first time in many months. Thank you thank you thank you!💜
I was doing carnivore & intermittent fasting. Ifel like a million dollars. I added weight training. I felt like 10 million dollars. It was that dramatic. Insulin resistance was getting less but the insulin dependence completely vanished with the weight training.
I get chills sometime thinking just how many people's lives you have touched in the most positive and helpful/ life saving ways! BLESS YOU AND WHAT YOU DO. YOU HAVE MANY POINTS OF LIGHT IN YOUR CROWN OF GLORY!
I think you deserve an Academy Award for this video! You are so well-versed in this way of life. You are a treasure trove of information! And your presentation is priceless. I am three months carnivore and have lots of belly fat, so your 10 points have given me lots of inspiration to move forward. Bless your heart, “you sweet thang“! ❤
I needed to hear this video today Kelly. Thank you. I’m a 59 year old recovering insulin resistant woman. On month 6 of ketovore and I feel sooo much better. I have a great new doctor that is aligned with carnivore and Keto diet. You have so much knowledge. Thank you.
Thank you for this. I am 53 and have always had headaches (since I was 11) but about 10 years ago I started getting worse ones and I was gaining weight and then my blood pressure started getting higher. My doctor simply gave a prescription for pain relievers and blood pressure medications, and never once even considered that these could all be linked or that there was anything I could do to remedy them all. Probably best as he would have told me to cut out the meat and eat more fruit I’m sure. I just started carnivore 3 days ago, and am so hopeful for the first time in a while that there is something I can do about all of the issues as well as the achy joints and itchy skin.
OH, Jillyanne, I'm so sorry, friend. I hope some of the resources below can help. And if you would like a tribe or a coach, I would love to work with you, but please don't ever think that you are a failure for not being able to heal in the same way that someone else did. ❤️
@@myzerocarblife Thank you Kelly. I was actually able to get Tony Hampton as my doctor. I saw him on the 16th. He ordered a lot of blood work. Not all has come back. I am hoping to get answers. I just started working the night shift in January as well so I don’t know how I’d be able to do the coaching, but I’ve thought about it. ❤️ I started Ketovore in June 2022 but I’m mostly Carnviore.

My husband recently discovered carnivore and it’s just taking us to the next level now. Thank you so much for this information and we’re very excited to be on this new journey.
Great video Kelly 👌 Cortisol from severe stressful life situations does affect our bodies poorly. The answer? Keep going with the fatty meat and prioritise fresh air, exercise and sleep
Hey Kelly! I just wanted to say I Absolutely love your videos and you are an inspiration to keep going. I was on TikTok and saw people saying stuff like "oh this is an eating disorder" and whatnot. As a therapist in clinicals, one thing you can say to anyone in the future if they ever try to say you have an eating disorder is that an eating disorder has to cause clinically significant impairment in order to be a disorder. You are THRIVING, Hun. This is not an eating disorder, this is a life worth living.
Thanks. I have very high insulin. Meat based for years. Carb creep is a real battle as I just seem to get nowhere consistently. Watching your videos DAILY is what helps me, despite the stress, poor sleep, inflammation and TRE, following BBBE and skipping veg is no 1 for me , they cause so many problems. I do miss the flavour at times.
This is the best understanding of insulin I've ever heard. I'm a type 2 diabetic on insulin and between my primary doctor and diabetic management, I have been getting conflicting diet advice. Which means that my insulin has been mostly high and periodically dropping low quickly causing me to become very ill. Since starting the carnivore diet things have changed. After 15 days on the diet I have been taken off of insulin and my body is now stabilizing. IBS went from severe pain to minimum, headaches went from everyday to minor headaches a few times a week, and pain from inflammation is now also minimum and requires no medication. My doctor is shocked and now curious about the diet. Losing weight wasn't the reason for starting carnivore. I started it because I was tired of waking up everyday in pain, ill, and unable to function with the smallest tasks. So losing weight and thinking clear are just bonuses for me. Thank you for the video, it really helped me to understand what all of that bad advice and why my diet, no matter how healthy I thought it was, was really doing to me.
So glad you started doing this diet. Doctors and dieticians have been giving bad diet advice to everyone, especially type 2 diabetics. Type 2 is 100% caused by diet, which means it can be fixed by diet!
Thank you Kelly for a very informative video! You break down what seems to have been impossible for me to achieve, into a very easy to understand process of how and why I got to where I was. This video, which I will watch again is proof that we can heal over time and with consistency of eating a non-inflammatory diet! Team Meat! Eat the Meat Save the Humans! And thank you for caring about others the way you do!
I love how you explain everything, I am a nurse(ret) and this is by far one of the best ways to explain what is going on. I wish docs would say what you said, sadly most don't. Could you maybe do a show on people who have had thyroidectomy? this is me with 70 lb weight gain right after and after 12 yrs still can't get it off. Im tired and heavy and older(68) Thanks for all you do, much love from AZ
Wonderful video. I figured my autoimmune issues were what was preventing me from losing belly fat. Carnivore has helped me almost totally eliminate my anaphylactic reactions to bees, yellow jackets, wasps, and hornets. Actually my bloodwork showed that I am no longer allergic to yellow hornets at all. ZC 17 months!
Wow, wow! Kelly that was so informative! Very easy to understand a complex system! I can’t wait to share. Thank you for taking the time to make this info available to all. You’re the best, I love you❤❤
Kelly this video is exactly what I needed, you’re doing such beautiful work! Thank you! I’m sharing this with everyone I know! I’m a SAHM, homeschooling three kids and I’ve been in a carnivore rut. I’ve been sticking to the diet for about a year now but I still have “mom pouch” and I gained ten lbs after losing 20. I will try to implement some of your other tips because stress and sleep are definitely tough for me, to the degree that I was feeling hopeless. You inspired me, sending a virtual hug from a fellow southern gal! 🥰
Thank you Kelly your story inspire me alot, l had 65lbs to loose and reverse my diabetes and get rid of my belly fat. I would to see all these great result. Thank you Kelly.
Thanks to you, Kelly, I am satisfied with my meals. I don't feel frantically starving all the time. I sleep well. I wake up rested... because I'm eating properly now. It feels so good. It's actually euphoric. I love eating meat.
I loved this video! I'm surprised you didn't mention mouth taping in the sleep segment. I heard you talk about it before, I started doing it and changed my sleep SO much! I'm no longer awaken by dry mouth and throat, breathe better and stay sleep all night long! Thank you Kelly!
I absolutely should have! You’re right! I still mouthtape every single night and talk about it with my group members every month. Totally slipped my mind here
@@margaretterrebonne9596 Yes! I know it sounds weird but it's actually awesome. It takes a few nights to get used to it but once you do it's great. Buy tape for skin. I have found the Nexcare blue tape is the best width and stickiness. It keeps your mouth closed all night which keeps the ph balance of your mouth right keeping it cleaner. You don't wake up choking from dry mouth, tongue and throat. It forces you to breathe through your nose therefor you get more oxygen making you sleep all night without waking up. And makes for less snoring. Just give it try!
This is one of the best videos I've seen on healthy eating, and how stress, lack of sleep, etc. increases insulin! Thus making it very difficult to lose weight! Thank you for sharing your wisdom! One thing I found to help manage stress and low energy is adding magnesium into my supplements. It improved energy, sleep, and lowered stress in a very short amount of time so I could have enough energy to get back into exercising and improving my food choices with less sugar cravings. Thus easier to follow carnivore Thanks for your awesome Advice!
This was so clear. I've listened to a lot of professionals, including Dr. Ben, talk about this important work in our bodies, but this was the best example I could understand. Thank you for the word picture, and the thoughts on how to best help our bodies. Defiantly going to bookmark this one in case other people have questions.
I just watched this video for the first time. I am 95% Carnivore for almost 2 years. I did hard Carnivore for the first three months and lost 25 pounds. Then I tried a few sweets here and there and became bloated and stopped losing weight. I am back at it trying hard Carnivore again hoping to lose another 25. I recommend this to all my friends and family. One friend is type 2 diabetic and her doctor is amazed at her test results.
Excellent, excellent video I'm a RN and absolutely love how you explained this. I'm going to get my 81 year old mom to watch this because it will make it easy for her to understand! Thank you Kelly!!♥
I am one week into carnivore/ PHD . I am down 7 lbs. And tonight, I had my very first 16 Oz. Rib eye steak. It was yummy but pricey. Back to ground beef and bacon tomorrow 😊
I'm so grateful you're here. I've been doing carnivore for about a yr. Lost 20 lbs. Yay! But now I've noticed a belly coming on. This video explained what I need to do next. And ,being able to do my own labs. I had no idea i could do this!Thank you so much❤
This is so informative! I've been Ketovore since January 13th and have only lost 15lbs still trying to get bs into normal range. You pointed out some things I didn't even think of that could be hindering me like mold and antibiotic toxicity. I was treated with antibiotics for 20 days out of every month for a year for lymes disease and only got worse. I've got so much more to look into now. Thank you so much for making these videos that teach us to dig deeper to find out what is at the root of our health issues.
Thank you Kelly!! Wow! What a great video! Perfect for me. I am a diabetic. I’ve been on carnivore for 7 months. I’ve lost 30 pounds and A1c down to 5.4! Doctor just took me off diabetic medication, a trial to see if I can continue. Praying for you. Thank you again♥️
You are so good at getting to the point of what we need. My sister insists on drinking plant protein. However, I believe it was Paul Mason who explained that plant protein is metabolized differently than meat protein. (My sister was a seller of products selling highly refined veggie and fruit products- pill and powder form.)
Great video! This information is very helpful to me on my healing journey. Thank you so much Kelly for everything that you do for the carnivore community!
Thank you, Kelly! This video is so helpful! Glad to see you made another one. Your preparation, information, and presentation are spot on! 3 months in, as ~90+% carnivore (0 plants), and I'm healing fairly well. This reminds me that I still need to work on getting to bed earlier and reduce the blue light exposure. Thanks again, and there's no question that I will be sticking with the proper human diet. I don't need the reassurance, but for others that do, you do a great job at inspiring folks, and I want to do my part to support your efforts and encourage anyone having difficulties with sticking with carnivore. I currently hit a little bit of a weight loss plateau, but it doesn't faze me. Being a carnivore, I'm healing and more calm when presented with challenges, and know I'll get there. Anyone reading this, please stick with carnivore or begin trying it, if you haven't yet begun the journey. Use the ketogenic diet as a gateway to transition to carnivore, if you're a newbie. Keep on, keeping on. You will get there.👍
Wow this video has opened my eyes... I am insulin resistant. 2 months into carnivore my progress has been very slow but I am losing weight, inflammation and I feel so much better..going off 3 of my meds with my Dr. approval..so winning slowly....
I'm a month into carnivore. I live in Australia where it's common to have a yearly skin check up for cancerous moles. Not once has any doctor suggested that all my skin tags could be a sign of pre-diabetes! And I've suffered from migraines for the past 10 years! Thank you for sharing, great video 👍
Wow!! A few months ago I was told I have costochondritis, one of the most painful things I’ve ever gone through. Thank you Kelly for the information. I’ve been searching to find my way since then.
AMAZING, as always Kelly! It's not just tips to get rid of belly fat either. These tips are life changing! I've lost weight and belly fat, but I've also improved my sleep, cleared my skin, I have less anxety, I take less medications, and I have a huge support team! ❤️
Great video Kelly. Very informative. I especially liked the 10 tips at the end but was that Elmo in the glucose fire? Why are we burning Elmo? 😆 Just kidding. Another great, informative video!
Wow, Kelly. I joined the ZC community in 2017, and you have developed your knowledge so much! It's incredible! Thank you for being a blessing to all of us 💕
Wow! Thank you for another amazing and informative video! I love the way you teach by providing easy to follow demonstrations, as well as great guidance to improve your health at any stage! You are like the meat - saving the humans! Thank you, beautiful Kelly! 😃
Super informative and all round great video Kelly 🤩 I’m just 3.5 weeks into carnivore, and this video is so encouraging. Thank you and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
This is my favorite video that you have made! The information is so easy to understand, and I love your use of the water and fire analogy. I was a dancer for 12 years and used to be slender and physically fit. Now I better understand why I gained so much weight during the four years that I spent in a certain job. I'm sure that hormones and medication played a role, but I was also dealing with stress, crazy overnight work hours, and irregular sleep patterns. That caused me to develop poor eating habits because I was too tired to cook healthy meals for myself. In addition, I have to deal with some of the factors that you mentioned (trauma and injury.) I'm now using a carnivore diet to take off the extra weight. Thank you for helping me and so many others!
Fantastic video. I have never seen anyone provide such a great explanation of how insulin and other hormones play a role in insulin resistance. The detail helps in understanding and connecting with the 10 tips. I found out something new. I have a great A1c and fasting glucose, but I am having a hard time losing weight without a great calorie deficit. Time to measure that insulin level and to take care of sleep and stress. These are the 2 out of the 10 that are most relevant for me now, but I can see areas of improvement in the other tips as well. Thanks so much for the sneak peek.
Thank you for the very encouraging and informative feedback, Karen! I hope the fasting insulin test gives you some answers and that the sleep and stress management help. ❤️
First (fat) on = last off. For me, the belly fat was last to go. By maintaining high school weight, 170-175, the belly fat has stayed gone now for nearly 5 years. Thank God for Keto, Ketovore, Carnivore, and OMAD/IF. I will never go back to the old way of eating, and eating garbage. Wintertime, I stay 95 percent carnivore. The other seasons, I add healthy veggies from local Amish farmers' market. Also prior T2D, my A1c now ranges 5.1 to 5.6. Thanks for all you, and others do on YT. I dunno what I'd have Dona without y'all. Btw, I am now 70 years old.
I love this, Kelly! I appreciate you addressing stress. I’m pretty sure my stress levels are the cause for my weight gain after nine months. I had a good weight loss but over the last month I’ve noticed my clothes getting more snug. I will focus on burning up the cortisol.
Great content as usual Kelly! I added weight lifting to my carnivore WOE in January and it’s been incredible. However, my cravings for carbs really kicked in when I started lifting weights. It makes sense now that I understand the muscles want carbs. Hopefully the cravings will disappear soon once my body adjusts.
Kelly, that was just outstanding. Thank you! I thought a bit about what you said about SURGERY. I had bilateral inguinal hernia repair right before my weight began climbing. And, because I didn’t want to take the narcs or opioids, I just used aspirin afterwards. Yes, it was traumatic and painful. And I’m coming up on two years now and things are just beginning to slide back to what I think of as “normal” (weight slowly coming down).
WONDERFUL video! I learned so much from this! Even though I have lost weight over the past 2 years(50 pounds with 35 more to go) with a Keto diet, I still have the belly fat! My CRP, glucose, liver enzymes and HbA1c are always elevated(A1c=5.9). I also suffer from such horrible insomnia that I have to take an RX sleeping pill to get ANY sleep. My M.D.has never ordered a fasting insulin or a fasting glucose test, so I may get that done. Thanks for such great information and additional resources!
@@ninawildr4207 I have forgotten what the lion diet is. Can you give me a brief explanation? Do you have to cut out bacon/eggs? (I know they are not ruminant meat). Thanks for the information!
I started the Dukan diet. On day 5 right now, so far I've lost 3 lbs eating meat, eggs, cheese, chicken, milk. No carbs at all, I do feel tired but so far so good.
Oh my goodness this makes so much sense to me. I wish when I was diagnosed in my early 20's with high blood pressure that I had known about this. And don't get me started on the never ending headaches. I am not 100 percent carnivore yet about 80 percent, but since eating only meat products for the last 3 weeks my headache and neck pain are gone. I slipped this weekend and had a slice and the next day my neck ache was back and I was like nope! Thank you for all you are doing I feel inspired by this.
My, husband is dying of ALS along with family issues food is my friend and enemy . After watching this , I'm going to go meat base diet and start taking time out for me. I"m diabetic, high blood pressure, liver numbers are up. hair lost ,90 pounds over weight , tried , depressed, can't sleep and so tried.... Love, how far you come and your knowledge about the diet. One question, how did you tighten up your skin from being so over weight ?
Thanks Kelly, I'm 25 day's into ruminant meat, butter and eggs. Nothing else. You have explained things relating to how I am feeling better than anyone else I've watched on TH-cam. Your breakdown on how glucose levels, insulin, sleep and ways to combat high cortisol levels is awesome. I'm feeling better than I did 25 day's ago but still quite flat with low energy levels so I will focus on some of your key pointers. Thanx 😊 Ralph - New Zealand
You spot on after a horrible break up I was stressed like crazy during 3 years and I put on weight even that I haven’t changed my diet at all and gained 10 kg! After I finaly could say to the person what I was thinking about his behaviour it set me free and I became less stressed and I started to lose weight and I started to do the keto diet. Say what you think to people don’t hold it back take care of yourself and for sure love yourself first!
Last comment on this video. This is so far the best video I’ve yet seen on explaining insulin resistance, why eating carnivore is best, and why being at your healthiest is more than just diet and exercise. I’ve sent this video to quite a few of my friends who’ve never really understood why I eat carnivore and eat ZERO CARBS. Great job 👏
Wow! I love this video to start my day today, Kelly! I was just thinking, I wish I had this information years ago. And you give so much information in a very concise and down to earth way. You are a very gifted teacher! I Love you💌🍀🥊

Thanks!
That’s awesome!! So happy for you!
Glad to hear it! I was told decades ago that I had insulin resistance and given a script for metformin. It caused a lot of abdominal pain, so I was unable to continue taking it. No other treatment or measures were ever suggested.
Hope things have worked out for you.
Hi honey! I’m 57 and doing keto for 1.5 years. I’ve regained my joint and mental health!! I’m ready to try carnivore. Kelly makes it look doable!!! You and I could have 30 more healthy years if we stay on this path!!!!! So much great life to live! ❤❤❤
I'm also just starting this. I'm 64 and have CHF and so much more! My heart Dr took me out of work years ago. Good luck to you 🙏 We got this 💜
Carnivore stopped my migraines and IIH.

These doctors are so bad!!

This was absolutely THE BEST explanation I've heard. I have been sooo depressed after doing carnivore for about 7 months now only to see weight gain.

Thank you for saying "don't give up!" Being very ill chronically, I need to hear this.
This is an awesome presentation! You just described everything my husband has and is going through! No doctor EVER talked about insulin. Through the grace of God, I have discovered Carnivore.
I love your firefighter analogy!

Hello,
Sharing my opinion after 2 years on the Carnivora and ketogenic diet
(2 years between dietary transition (removing complex carbohydrates (Natural) as I removed the industrialized ones on the first day of the dietary change)
2. Every Body has a health problem to correct
(No one is the same when it comes to health problems, even if they have the same disease)
3. Gaining weight or losing weight can be an easier task for some people, this is due to their body, which may have a problem in a certain organ.
(Which was not diagnosed by laboratory tests) due to several factors
4. The beginning of the diet is very delicate, as we want to heal quickly, at least overnight,
(We can start the improvement process when we change our diet on the first day, but we will not be cured overnight. It is not possible to cure years of a wrong diet in just a few days or even months or years, it depends on one body to another)
Total transition I believe in around 5 years,
For those who are only on the carnival diet along with the ketogenic diet, interspersing the two in the same period
6. The most important of all
(Follow your Ancestral Food instinct, which was taken from humans)
Which ?
(When you want to eat more protein, eat, when you want to eat more fat, eat. When you don't want to eat, don't eat) Do you want to gain weight?
Exercise with moderate weight
I hope I contributed in some way
I am a medical coder and I read that misinformation all day: eat less/avoid red meat. Recommend plant based diet w/ whole grains. And statins and meds galore! I even saw one today where dr said “avoid animal fat” for an overweight older woman with T2 Diabetes w/ hyperglycemia on insulin and thyroid issues.
Malpractice, in my opinion. So sad and awful!!

Finally someone explaining it in layman's terms, and for once I actually get it 🙏🏻👏🏻

And thank you for caring about others the way you do!

I absolutely should have! You’re right! I still mouthtape every single night and talk about it with my group members every month. Totally slipped my mind here
Mouth taping?
My problem is moving. I don't know why it's so hard to get motivated. This was a great video though, thank you Kelly!!!
This was so clear. I've listened to a lot of professionals, including Dr. Ben, talk about this important work in our bodies, but this was the best example I could understand. Thank you for the word picture, and the thoughts on how to best help our bodies. Defiantly going to bookmark this one in case other people have questions.
Thank you Kelly. This is your best video yet, for those of us not losing weight!
I wish I could get more sleep but I got a little infant. But great video. Way more information on belly fat than I’ve ever heard.
I had no idea i could do this!Thank you so much❤
You’re absolutely the best at explaining this process in the easiest way to understand! Look forward to every video you put out! Thanks so much!
I'm definitely starting to think I may have a mold issue. I live in a very old leaky house. Interesting!

You will get there.👍
Kelly you really are a gifted teacher! Such a clear explanation, thank you!,
Wow this video has opened my eyes...
A fantastic and excellent informative video with such a great explanation of the issues that carbs cause. ❤
awesome teaching … great job. I love the explanation of glucose/insulin as fire/water. Perfect. 💙
In addition, I have to deal with some of the factors that you mentioned (trauma and injury.)
I'm now using a carnivore diet to take off the extra weight.
You are simply brilliant thank you for this incredibly informed and simple explaination of how this all works for us carnivores. Your amazing 🤩
I love how you explain everything so it's easy for us to understand what is going on in our bodies.
Kelly. That was so helpful and you are very good at explaining it all to help us understand. God bless you.
This is hands down the best formative video Kelly, your style delivers easy to absorb and fun learning! thank you soooo much!❤❤
I love this, Kelly! I appreciate you addressing stress. I’m pretty sure my stress levels are the cause for my weight gain after nine months. I had a good weight loss but over the last month I’ve noticed my clothes getting more snug. I will focus on burning up the cortisol.
I have heard this info before but NEVER as clear and as wonderful as this is put! Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!! Love this video! Great information! Love the analogy! Also the extras that we could check affecting our insulin.
Love listening to Kelly. She sums it up nicely, every time.
You'll be the only person snacking on bacon in the gym lol Just dont drink milk and deadlift, thats a bad idea 😆
Go lion diet...ruminant meat salt and water...but its still going to take time...realistically ...Ive been carni since 2019
@@ninawildr4207 I have forgotten what the lion diet is. Can you give me a brief explanation? Do you have to cut out bacon/eggs? (I know they are not ruminant meat). Thanks for the information!
I’m a long time listener to Drs. Ekberg & Bikman!! Great science based info, in a teachable way,for all to understand! Thanks
This was the best basic and practical advice I have heard in the last four years. Amazing. Thanks Kelly
Thanx 😊

Great job 👏
Thank you so very much for watching and sharing! That means a lot to me, and I hope it helps to spread this message to people who need it the most! ❤️
Kelly, your awesome. No wonder why your a teacher. Thank you for this video!
Wow! I love this video to start my day today, Kelly! I was just thinking, I wish I had this information years ago. And you give so much information in a very concise and down to earth way. You are a very gifted teacher! I Love you💌🍀🥊
Kelly I just started carnivore 10days ago I’m insulin resistant as well. I’m 81 yes old. Up and down since 20 I did Leto 3 or 4yrs ago. But I have heard you say it’s never too late so this is my last chance
No more sugar and carbs pray for me. patty Lazar. Canton Ohio. Not giving up
Super sciencey, while being super easy to understand, and super helpful. Thank you!
