Alexa is good for AI and reminders. As someone with adhd I make use of the reminder feature otherwise life just wouldn't happen. Downside is, she's sensitive, saying "my legs ache" sets her off. So as long as your legs don't ache, you'll get along fine x
Team Replay! I use 4 journals per year. One is my calendar/weekly planner, with some room at the back for most-used collections. The second is a Goal setting and tracking book that I designed by cobbling together all the goal-setting ideas I've collected during my working lifetime. Three and four are 6-month daily planners that I use for the details that are not memorable (tracking my work hours, plotting boring tasks, etc.) For 2024, I have several trip-of-a-lifetimes planned and I am strongly considering subbing in Notion and/or a Digital Planning for Goal setting and tracking, along with my Calendar/Planner journal and 2 daily planners. *tink*
I’ve found Fabre-castel Pitt artist brush pens have a good collection of light pens to use for lines. I will warn you they can change colour if you store them vertically but they go back to there original color if you put them horizontal overnight.
For the past couple of years it's been one Hobonichi Weeks (upsized to the Mega this year) and four dot grid journals completely used up (because writer). I also have special function journals that go across multiple years: my work bujo which I keep by my desk unless I'm going on-site, in which case I put it in my work bag the night before; my mileage/maintenance log which lives in the glove compartment of my car; my dream journal which lives by my bed; my knitting/crochet journal which is with my craft supplies; my quotes journal which is on my journal shelf; and I'm thinking about setting up either one or two long-term projects journal (not sure whether or not my writing projects need their own journal).
I fully use 2 journals a year, a scraps for meetings kinda journal and a planner that of course ends at the end of the year. I also have one journal for bigger research projects so those get finished when the research is done. Thanks for the motivation to get this new journal desk set up!
2:48:02 “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” Don’t critique the value of a gift, it’s a gift, just take it and appreciate it. A horses teeth can be used to indicate its age. So if somebody gives you an elderly horse as a gift, don’t assume the worst of the gifter (You don’t think I’m worth a younger, better horse?) instead assume the best (Horses do cost quite a lot, he seems very lovely!).
I am setting up a project manager insert (TN), & am realizing I need to set up a "handling manual" & a functioning manual" SP: HUMAN. Difference: handling if for others in my life. Functioning is for me in my life. the joy of migraines & having only random memory access. & I'm ready to buy bingo dabbers for my weekly page flags, b/c stickers are not a daily in my bujo.
Rewatching this to make dinner. You often make dinner with me whether you know it or not and I just gotta say color wise were the same. My fave is purple but I decorate with navy and gold/mustard and gray. Have been doing that for years. Also gray is like my second favorite color. I'd pay money to watch you try to attempt kicking a horse in the face. 😂
On the topic of cookies, I never understand the people who actually eat something delicious in more than one sitting 😂 like how do you guys do that? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
2:42:00 The thing about purple for decor items is that it's not the most common so it can be hard to find stuff in purple if you're trying to stick with a color scheme. And they can be hard to match other colors with. Like I don't think that there are as many combinations/ color palettes you can make with purple. I prefer decorating with blue, there are just so many gorgeous shades of blue. 2:59:00 for me it's when I'm painting that I notice a difference. Like, I can paint in a "font" much easier than I can write in a different style than just my natural handwriting. Now it makes sense though.
I think the issue with the word green for me isnt the order of the "Ee" capitalization, but the lower case r coming before the uppercase E. Lower case r is so simple that it looks like it should connect to anything that isnt sloping away from it at the top of the next letter.
Here i am watching the middle part of your video and the s from the bottom question came up. Having letters more cohesive is easier when you write the letters from left to right. To do this with an S, you have to start from the bottom. Lower case round A's are written right to left too and they can go a little wonky, I see you don't write your a that way and instead use the left to right version.
For these headers, yeah 😄 In my "everyday writing" I just use the round A's that are right-to-left, but I appreciated this explanation regarding ~why~ it ends up neater 💜💪
I have the worst trouble trying to write pretty. Can you, or anyone here in comments, suggest something for me that could fast track me to a good lettering skill set? :)
(replay, missed the 1st 2 3rds) 1:17:00 6-7+ ish 🫢, of course most not used daily & includes for being mum's carer. Extra bujo reason, when one eventually gets dementia. My Washi Tape Shop stuff is arriving tomorrow 😃... Still waiting for Stationary Pal to leave their country. 😕 Just ordered for me the thorn potion bottle, warm grey floral & the black plaid from A&O, next for mum is the ec monthly, life & duo; all followed by hp stickers & I have a hp unused budget mini.
Love setting up my pages along side your videos, especially when it's live ☺️ I had a great time today. See you next week 🫶🏼

Not me telling my Alexa that my legs ache!!!

Appreciate the explanation! I know I didn’t do a great job 😂
Rewatching the live while chopping green beans and cooking a Persian food for my guests this evening ❤

Great video! Thank you for your amazing ideas!
Most welcome! 💜 Glad you liked it! 😄
Crocheting while watching you
Awesome! 💜 happy to keep you company 😄 making anything fun?
1:58:22 If something is good for both lunch and dinner, it is good for lunch and dinner.
EDIT: and what I mean is that _*you can mark them as both*_.
I order my journals end of September start of October.

Only if it were a "no horses were harmed in the making of this video" 😝 as so long as the horse doesn't try to kick me in the head back! 😂
Really love it ! Amazing ! 💫💫

I have a list of favorite ice cream flavors, mid flavors, and skip it flavors from a particular ice cream place 😂
That’s an excellent list 😂
@2:05:30 finding a light pastel orange is so difficult - I ended up going with a more beige colour for my October spread this year lol
2:16:40 lol defos couldn't tell on camera til you brought it close XD
I’ve got a stabilo boss pastel orange that quite good.
Playing Minecraft and getting Journal inspired :)
Doing tonz of research for a tarot deck im creating...and im now obsessed with you ngl 😂
Haha 😂 hopefully in a good way 💜 tarot deck research sounds cool!
@@JashiiCorrin yes, good way haha

I really just need to cover over the word and try again 😝
Merci 👍🏻
22:00 If I tried to draw those lines without a ruler I'd have a squiggly line. I can only make the line straight if I'm doing one box at a time
Yeah it certainly took some practice, and I ~still~ go wonky sometimes 😝
Can you do a collection journals flip through?
I’ve got some from last year if that helps 😄💜 th-cam.com/video/h9wX1KltvYI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D4WsRgOogH2lakmB
Do you live in the South of UK beautiful place where the beace is❤❤
I'm based in New Zealand 😄
