Join me for a drive of the hybrid compact sedan from Toyota, the more luxurious than you’d expect Corolla XLE. This is a new trim as of 2023 for Corolla Hybrids and gives just the right amounts of luxury in this little hunk of efficiency, while keeping the price tag under $30k. Want to feel like a responsible adult? This may be just the car for you.
In this video, I take you through the car, show you what features are offered and how they work. And then I take you on a drive to get a sense of how well it handles, the quality of the ride, and the overall experience.

#toyotacorolla #hybrid #Review - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
After 2,160 miles I have 60.1 mpg on the gauge and 59.7 using a calculator. I drive conservatively in mostly LA freeway traffic meaning lots of bumper to bumper action. Very pleased with this vehicle.
Took ownership of a 2024 Corolla LE gas version. Very impressed with it overall. Nothing really to dislike about it. One of the best decisions I’ve made.
Of all the hybrid Corolla vids yours may be the 1st to show under the hood. Thank You.
You're welcome! I look under the hood in most every review. It's important to me.
Great information. Appreciate all the detail.
Thank you very much!
I like this review.
Thank you!
Nice Review…..am thinking of this as my next lease.
Thank you! And, yeah, it makes a lot of sense.
Why lease? You're better off financing and then reselling. This thing will sell for a good buck you'll make money
I really wanted the XLE trim but none of the dealers in my area had one. Went down to the SE trim. I like the styling and the AWD (handy for snow), but lose the heated seats, blind side detection and power adjusted seats.
I want this exact color and trim. I got 69.7 mpg in a rental.
Are the updated noise deadening materials you've mentioned present across all trim levels, or specific to the XLE trim? Thanks - enjoyed the review.
As I understand it, it's all models.
Hello I want to say nice video with an efficient and informative review. I also wanted to ask if you the xle Corolla has heated steering wheel?
If the xle corolla has a heated steering wheel?
Thank you so much! No, the Corolla does not have a heated steering wheel. You can get heated seats. But I couldn't find a heated steering wheel option. And I checked non-hybrid, hybrid, and hatchback. The Toyota Camry does have a heated steering wheel option.
Great review. A couple of quick questions, first does it come with a spare tire in the rear, and two can it tow anything, and if so what is the limit?
Thank you! No spare, it comes with a tire repair kit. And I couldn't find anything on towing, so I don't think its rated. Hope that helps!
First time I’ve watched you. Good information. I’d choose the Civic over this mainly for appearance and handling. This would be a great vehicle for someone wanting better mpg and a smaller vehicle.
Wait until the civic hybrid that’s coming out next year
Thank you! The Civic is more fun to drive for sure, but, just like you wrote, this makes a case for itself with price and efficiency. Super curious how the next Civic hybrid looks by comparison.
The Civic has, indeed, gotten huge. It makes me so sad.
The XLE trim is rare to find. You’ll never find one.
I want the exact one you got
But $29k for corolla is pretty crazy
@@mrnarason Why? You now it's a bulletproof car for the next twenty years ! 😉
@@mrnarason I would say being a hybrid and as loaded as this XLE is, in today’s crazy market price structures it’s not really a bad deal at all, in fact a pretty good one
@mrnarason you're living in the past, Corolla is no longer a cheap student car. New Corollas are more premium, more solid, and thus more expensive
I recenly ordered one from a local dealership his car but in blueprint for otd price of 30,640 bucks
Lo tengo el nightshade corolla ..porque tu carro las luces hacen ese movimiento me puedes decir?😊
Based on the google translation of your comment, you asked about moving lights? Perhaps you're referring to the headlights flickering on and off? That's due to my camera and the settings. I hope I guessed right and that clears it up.
Gracias ♥️
What’s the 0-60 numbers?
Car and Driver managed a 9.7 second rolling start. www.caranddriver.com/toyota/corolla
What is price of a hybrid battery?
I do not know the battery price, specifically.
It was has 150,000 mile warranty or 12 years so you're okay
Put around or putz around
No driving light's 👎
Not built for ppl over 185cm tall. Thats the reason why I didnt buy it. Its a Shame!
That is a shame, sorry to hear it! If you don't mind me asking, would you say that height is more due to leg or torso? It makes a difference in terms of car fitment. Also, for those more used to feet and inches, 185 cm is about 6-feet, 1-inch tall.
