- Heavy Whipping Cream
Whip the heavy cream with a mixer until the fat separates from the milk.
Wash the butter in an ice-water bath to remove the milk from the butter.
Add salt to the butter, or leave it unsalted. Store the butter in the refrigerator or freezer. The butter is ready to use immediately, no waiting is necessary.
