    What a great video guys! How you can live in such a small rig is commendable to say the least! I, on the other hand am in a class A and find it cramped! Kudos to you both!! 😂 It is adorable, however, and I love your videos! Keep um coming!!👍🥰

    Everyone's needs are always different but it is great to see that you are being honest about what you have found to be a problem with your rig. I always think that manufacturers either don't think it all the way through or they just do things to cut costs. The things like a bigger door would be easy to solve when they build it but is more difficult afterwards. Great video.

    Hey guys, nice video,. I made a similar video on my dislikes and likes. I have the 2019 version and my dislikes were a bit around how they could make the tongue lighter which I think they solved on your model. I'm not much of a TV watcher (even on rainy days), but your points are well taken on the stereo and TV.
    There is one other thing that irks me (not sure if they've addressed this), but the fresh water drain valve is so tiny and can't be hooked to a drain pipe to allow you to drain that quickly. Last year I was caught in an unexpected cold snap and needed to drain this before I left for home to avoid freezing the pipes on the road. The only way to do this was to pump the water into the fresh and black tanks. The problem was, it took so long, I overheated my water pump. That was my last trip of the year and I didn't really get a chance to do a full test when I got home before going into storage, but I fear I'm going to have to replace the pump when I test it out more fully in a few weeks, once I get Betty out of storage.

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp
      @LovingLifeHitchedUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is still a small petcock behind the driver side wheel and it does take forever to drain, the last time out we opened the drain while driving and a few hours later we were home with an empty tank.
      Pump seems easy enough to change if need be. Though I am sure it is not an inexpensive part non the less. Hopefully you are good with your pump!

  • @lasinmt106
    @lasinmt106 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wonderful feedback and insight into what you would improve on this model. I already had watched several improvement ideas on the TABs and TAGs and two stick out clearly as your mini-petpeeves. Several had replaced the entire front gas/battery box with full length pickup truck locking tool boxes giving them far more useful space. One mentioned they had yet to figure out what to do with the orginal box but thought they would find a use for it. And another was someone used bungies to attach that loose cushion to the ceiling when not in use and they usually just leave it there from the sound of things so it's out of the way yet easy to get too if needed. Maybe a tad tacky if you are into super esthetics but then again maybe a change of fabric might dress it up or play it down so you didn't take notice of it on your ceiling. The one thing that you mentioned that was good to know was the AC noise and location. I have menieres and noise is a big problem for me. So that went to the top of my list of things to check out when I actually get serious about buying a camper. (For some years I've been leaning towards the small Lance 1475's. Mainly due to fridge size, range oven & dry bath.) I never gave any thought to AC sound and now I know it's important to check that out. Thanks guys and hope your camping is in full swing and going great. We were over 100 again today but suppose to drop in a few days to the high 90's. Yesterday I put up the screen and took down early and it was a breeze by myself. I discovered I could quickly pull the top over to the side and pull out the ceiling just like one of the sides and then put it right up again solving not needing to get a step stool out. Your video on the screen house is the only one I watched and learned all I need. I have a four wall not five but the basics are the same. It also went back into the bag without a hitch and held the three privy sun walls folded up in the same bag too. Win win all the way around.

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp
      @LovingLifeHitchedUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you liked the video and that it gave you something to think about. The 2021 Tabs have a quieter air conditioner and it is not located under the bed anymore. I've seen that video where the Tab owner used bungees to hang the cushion. It's a good idea. Our summer trip is going very well. We're in SD for the next few weeks. It's been very hot here too but looks like it's going to cool down starting tomorrow. So glad you found the tent easy to work with. Hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July.

    • @lasinmt106
      @lasinmt106 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LovingLifeHitchedUp So happy your trip to SD has cooled off a bit. We are in the 90s after 9 days in the 100's. Not the norm up here. We live in Rural MT near Libby MT. A beautiful area and a lot of free camping in semi maintained campgrounds. Will lets put it this way during Covid 2020 they filled up with out of state folk and Rangers couldn't seem to even evict them no matter how many posts went up. So I didn't get to do my she camping last year. Have hope this year won't be as full. Lake Koocanusa is quite popular with Canadians and folk from ID often visit. With Canada still closed probably not this summer. Friends from ID camped in their tent-camper a week a few years ago in our yard. We have a small acreage. We did the usual tourist trips to Glacier Park & a few scenic hikes up here. These were college and caving friends of over 40 years. You would love hearing the Wolf Pack howel at night along the Kootenai River. I've only heard them three times myself. Glacier Park is more difficult to get into this year. Check out some LIbby MT posts here on TH-cam. I have never posted myself & haven't checked any out since 2014. I like the Solo Tab400 by the way a lot. I do worry a bit about the wet shower. I have waist long hair. Though I am sure the portable outside showers could work in summer as an option. (I do have one of those pop up shower tents.) South Dakota is very interesting. If ever you want to visit this area of the USA I invite all good people to stay here as a base camp if they like. We can easily accomodate a camper. We don't have a black water dump but we can connect you to water and electric and there is a City commerce campsite that allows dumping for a small fee. I know you can unload the canister toilets of course in any bathroom but not sure if that's possible with the blackwater ones that use sewer hoses. So far Fourth was pretty quite. MT usually allows fireworks outside of town. Btw 78% of our county is Public owned so thank you for our beautiful back yard. Cell service isn't good though. If you ever get this far west we'll work out a code to meet you. Meantime Stay Cool and happy camping, Leslie Anne Sinning

    I've been taking a hard look at the Ta@b 400....like almost everything about it, but I've seen some couples with the 400 complaining about having to crawl over the person sleeping closest to the edge in order to get out of bed, use the bathroom, etc. Overall, seems like a great Teardrop camper that checks most of my boxes.

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp
      @LovingLifeHitchedUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Alde heat system works fantastically, nice radiant heat. This is not a 4 season camper in the sense it does not have a heated and enclosed underbelly where the tanks are located so, with that said there is a risk of freezing in prolonged exposure to that kind of cold. We have been in some cold locations on some cold nights and the heat keeps us warm no doubt, but I would worry about prolonged exposure.
      Beyond that no issues.

      Yes, they did address a lot of the things we complained about. We got our awning through Doty Hill. It was great at first but has since been a bit of a problem. We've had multiple support poles because they contort in the heat. The awning was great but the support poles were the weak point.

    Don't hurt the camper's feelings. :)
    My windows open like yours, and mine doesn't have screens. Do your screens slide up to access the window latches? I'm thinking I'm going to have to make screens with Velcro around them.

    Wow. $45K. My first house back in 1979 was only $36K, and it came with a full kitchen, full bath, living room, dining room, and full bath. Of course I couldn't put it on wheels and take it anywhere.....but jeezus h.

    Good video! I'm on the fence between the 320css and 400 solo. If Toyota would come up with a hybrid Tacoma it'd be the 400, but a rav4 hybrid Adventure will do a 320 css really well. Enjoyed it! Subscribed.

      The Tab 400 solo floor plan has been discontinued you would have to find someone willing to part with a used one. The CSS is an amazing option as a camper. I am sure there are more hybrids coming in the future. Thanks for the support we appreciate it. TJ and Red

    I'm under 5'2 and one of the first things I bought for my T@B was a step stool! The Jensen cube, Aldi and Dometic controls can be somewhat difficult to read from my vantage point🙂 I think if RVers waited for the perfect trailer nobody would be camping.

      I (Red) have a hard time reading the controls for sure. I'm 5'1. Hope you're enjoying your Tab.

    I have the 2021 and the cabinet space between the sink and stove is drastically reduced compared to y'all's model. I wish there was another window in the bed area like the Little Guy Max. It's too dark back there to me.

      Yes, that extra bedroom window in the Little Guy is nice. But I love our star gazer window.

    What about that ridiculous porthole one one side of the dinette. It takes up space that can be better used for wider table and thus you don't have to dislocate your knees for two adults to sit and have breakfast. Take it out and make more room for the seats too. Looks cool for a few seconds, until you try to sit at the dinette.

    Do you guys boondock or stay in rv sites? Wondering how safe boondocking is.

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp
      @LovingLifeHitchedUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do boondock, rest stops along the way, mostly we use Harvest Hosts its sort of like boondocking we just did a video about this. I would say depending on where you stay may impact your safety. I am all about personal safety and that is why we do the Harvest Hosts program. When we get out west where there is more open lands for boondocking we may expand our boondocking here is a link to HH video.

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp

      Yes, we use the Honda EU2200i to run our A/C, we do not have an easy start on our A/C and have no issues. Our heat is easy as it is the Alde system no problem for the generator at all. Thanks for the support! TJ & Red

    RV manufacturers should try spending more time actually using their own products. The location of the stereo head unit is simply absurd. It’s like the Winnebago Micro Minis - you need a telescopic neck or binoculars to watch the TV!

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp
      @LovingLifeHitchedUp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree, the radio is the most difficult thing to use in the camper and we still have yet to figure out how to make it scan for music as we can not see the display LOL. Could be worse, but could be better placed for easier use. Thanks for all the support!

    What about that ridiculous porthole on one side of the dinette. Takes up room that can be better used for a wider table and more comfortable dinette seats. For 45 grand, really?

    • @LovingLifeHitchedUp

      The reason for the price tag is that NuCamp has a reputation for quality work. Their trailers are made by Mennonites. Thanks for the visit.
