Hey Erica & Warren, Kelly and I haven't commented before, but we love your videos. As someone else mentioned, we watch a lot of sailing content. On Saturdays (today) we watch other cruisers boat projects while we are working on our own boat projects (ha!ha!) We always say to each other that no one shows the struggles. Whether those struggles be with the never ending boat work, relationships or the day-in and day-out (nonstop) sh*t that goes with "living the good life". Your viewers who complain to you about complaining simply have no idea. I 100% can say that, three years after purchasing PONO, the reality of what "cruising" actually is, is not acurately portrayed on TH-cam. There is a reason that, more & more, cruising TH-camrs advertise mental health services (funny but not funny). You guys are crushing it!! Please don't forget that. I like to think of life as a pendulum. We could live a life with easy, planned days with very little suprises, where our pendulum of highs and lows are equal and the pendulum doesn't swing very far on either side of neutral. The more we put ourselves out there and step out of our comfort zones, the highs are higher and the lows are lower. Now your pendulum is swinging farther on each side of neutral. No pendulum swings unevenly - life is a matter of figuring out much we can handle/tolerate/live with/work through/love/laugh/drink beer/etc. on both sides of the pendulum. You got this!
Wow! Man what a great message!! You can’t understand how much we need that right now, and we hope to more accurately communicate the adversities we cruisers face, hopefully without making our videos solemn or boring!! Either way we really appreciate your kind words and that you took the time to message us!! Thank you!
I don't often comment on videos but this time I feel guilty for not commenting more on your videos and I'm truly sorry 💔 My girlfriend and I watch your videos every week and it means alot to us to be able to be part of your adventures and follow your amazing story! You guys are so good at what you do and make it look so close to effortless that we kinda.. take it for granted.. even though we have a pretty good idea of how exhausting it must be to try and capture every moment that might be of interest to others! People (myself included) tend to forget the importance of positive feedback when every damn episode you guys make is so incredible well tuned❤️ I will be commenting more often from now on and I hope people realize how important it is to drown the negative comments with the positive ones! YOU GUYS ROCK!!
I lived on a Catalina 36 for a year and i would say the "Normal" every day things are 10 X Harder than they are in a "House" ... You do a Great job ... I just wish I could have "struggled" for a little bit longer
I’ll never be in the position that you and Erica are, but after 68 years of living I do know that there are ups and downs no matter if you’re on the hard or on the water. Continue doing what you’re doing as long as it makes you happy.
Why not I am on the wrong side of 70's and sail . Try to crew for others on race night and pick up some experience . If even pulling a line or extra weight .
Great episode. Don't apologize for struggling. We all have lifes challanges to overcome. Yours just comes with better views and less resources. Best of luck.
We are your target audience and after a few years of watching hundreds of hours of sailing content, we really appreciate seeing the SHTF content as we get closer to our retirement and launch dates. We spent a couple of weeks on a friend's cat in FP last fall, and I think it's hard for folks who haven't been there to understand the remoteness involved. It's the size of Europe, but with 300k population spread out over the area vs 750 million in Europe. Keep showing us the bad with the good!
love checking in on your adventures each week, life is full of its fair share of ups & downs wherever you are. You guys are following your dreams and living a constant adventure, making lifelong friends & memories. Life is short and you guys are killing it!
Thank you! For making it REAL! It's only maybe 20% coconuts and rainbows - with perhaps a couple of unicorns tossed in! But most of us appreciate the work you do. I'd like to see MUCH MORE diving, but I also know that it takes about 3 hours of work to do 30 mins of diving. And then... AND THEN! If you get 5 or so mins of usable footage you still need to spend a couple hours of editing. Done all of this but not the sailing. To anyone who may unsub... This isn't an airport or a train station. No need to announce your departure.
Love hearing about all the good and the bad. Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows even in paradise! This is why we as your dedicated tribe love your content so much. You show the full story. Work time, play time and everything in between giving a real picture of life at sea. You guys keep being you and keep the wonderful videos coming!❤🤙
Warren and Erica - keeping it real - the reason I watch. Boating, like life, has ups and downs and it’s perfectly normal to acknowledge a bad run. If you didn’t - I would be concerned! I appreciate that you too are dirty after doing ‘jobs’ - I’m dirty and sweaty too and yes, sometimes it sucks and sometimes it’s glorious. Keep being you
You two are absolutely awesome. It doesn't matter what sort of vehicle one has they all break. Love you guys I wish we were in a $ position to help you but you take us away to places we'll never get to see for ourselves. Thank you immensely immensely.
I’m impressed every time you two fix anything bc you make it all look so easy and you complain so gently. But I know how much frustration you don’t show bc I know how infuriating each and every unforeseen challenge is when tackling any project. The fact that you can take the time to show it so well by video and make it entertaining is a testament to your hard work at keeping up the boat and with your channel. Thank you for your work and inspiration.
I’m also your target audience, prepping for our first big passage right now. Ignore the negativity and keyboard warriors. Keep on pushing through these tough times…..we love you guys, stay strong, and hopefully see you in an anchorage soon!!
No need to apologize to anyone. I personally love to watch you guys precisely because you are authentic and truthful about living on a boat full time. Like everything in life we have incredible moments and hardship but that is what we are here to experience. That is what makes us human and helps us to grow and learn each and everyday. There is beauty in everything we do and in the tough moments we learn to be so grateful for the amazing moments in our lives. Appreciate you both very much!!
You guys are awesome! It’s not all rainbows and sunshine, and you do a great portrayal of what it’s actually like. Don’t listen to the critics. Keep being yourselves!
Warren and Erica, really appreciate you being transparent on the good and bad about sailing. We too want to go sailing full time in the future and love that you share what it's really like and the reality of this lifestyle. Love your episodes, keep up the great work. ❤
I myself along with many others want to see the Good the Bad the Ugly. That to me is what makes this such an amazing channel. Stay true to yourselves and do what you do, we love you guys.
I can only speak for myself, but I think it's great that you also show the things that go wrong. That makes it much more authentic. I have been sailing since my youth and I have already lost a lot from the toenail (several times) to the anchor. That's life. You two live together in a confined space, that's a big challenge. For your marriage, you wish only the best and may you be happy until the end of your days. Greetings from germany
Don't worry about airing your feelings. Take your time and do what you need to do. Life is tough, even when others think it's a breeze. I, for one, love to hear how you're feeling and see what you are dealing with. Don't let the negative thoughts get you down. You're both doing a great job.❤
Another great true to life episode. Do not ever feel you have to apologise for “bitching”!! It’s life and we all do it, so it would be wrong if you never showed that.. I hope you start to feel better about things soon and don’t change how you approach life!! Thanks as always for your amazing videos
Hello everybody! First time caller! Warren, let them complain, you and I know there is a great sense of accomplishment after fixing problems. FWIW, I like to see DIY stuff, playtime, sailing, and looking at the scenery. It's the lifestyle, and unless you are Sir Richard you have to do all that stuff yourself. Good job on getting the fuel pump open and cleaned. :¬) Webhead USA
Another great episode! This is one of our absolute favorite sailing channels (and we watch about a dozen of them regularly). We love the way you tell your story and wouldn't want it any other way! We're in the process of buying our own sailboat and we plan to live on the water for a few years, so we want to see the amazing, the good, the bad and the ugly. Keep up the great work, Warren and Erica! :)
Loved your latest video. Congratulations on being human and honest. We all have bad days, that's what makes the other days even better. Don't listen to the negative comments, I could see they hurt you. You have both helped us to continue working and getting through the daily grind. We have a dream of doing a fraction of what you have achieved, just waiting for the last one to fly the nest and then see if we are brave enough. Thanks Warren and Erica
It’s called the silent majority because we are silent, including me. I feel like I should have commented previously but haven’t. I love your content in your videos including the struggles. It shows it’s real and that sh#t happens. While you do lead a fantastic life don’t forget that you guys made it happen. Don’t change a thing. Keep it coming. Thanks!
Chin up you guys. You both do such an amazing job of filming , narrating, editing and staring in your videos. No matter the life we have ,we all have shit days . Keep being awesome 🇨🇦❤️🍻
I AM your target audience. 😁 One day I hope to join you on the ocean. The very fact that you are worried about misrepresenting the life just shows how decent and honest you guys are. You should be proud of your many achievements. You completely nail the joys and stresses of your journey and it’s very brave and generous of you to share so much. Ignore the tiny minds that carp on your observations…. not everyone is worth listening to. 😁 Thanks for sharing it all, much respect,
Aloha from Honolulu Hawaii I have been watching you guys for about a year so I love your blog so keep it going iam loving it and God bless you guys always
You’re good, we’re all good, be happy, be frustrated, be whatever…that’s life! ….and put up a super thanks button when you have the chance! Love your channel and your travels, thanks for sharing it all with us! 🤗
Hey W. E.! The responsibility of maintaining a vessel like yours is daunting and very stressful. Land dwellers can’t possibly understand. Keep up the good work, great videos and stay in paradise! Stay safe!
Something to consider regarding perspective… When you appear on video smiling, having fun, and yea-hawing and periodically interject negative comments or challenges then it may be hard for your audience (any) to understand that you’re truly struggling. It doesn't seem authentic because of all the previous happy scenes in paradise. Usually when people are dealing with hardships and truly struggling then their demeanor is serious and it’s hard for them to even smile. I know you don't want make a solemn YT video and it’s your nature to be cheery but I just wanted to bring some understanding as to why some people may not express empathy for your struggles…especially for many of your audience that are enduring personal traumatic hardships or simply living a traditional life grinding it day and day out that watch your videos for escapism. Sometimes it’s not enough to verbalize you’re struggling - it needs be shown in a vulnerable and authentic manner in order for others to understand and to be able to give you compassion. May all your troubles be temporary and all things get better soon. 💙
Wow well said, thank you for the perspective, and I agree- we want to show more of what we struggle with, but without making the videos solemn like you said… the trouble is being able to actually film when these moments do occur… either way, thank you
Warren and Erica, Thanks for your videos! I appreciate your honesty and learn a lot from the good, but especially the bad and ugly. All I can say is that sailing full time is hard and have so much respect for you both!
Fellow Helia cruiser here heading westward. I say, never shy away from being true to yourselves, particularly when creating content you chose to share. Those of us who do what you are doing know how challenging it is. Those like you that decide to share their experiences publicly could never fully depict how high the highs are and how low the lows are. You are doing a darn good job of it, though.
I’m binging to catch up but had to stop to make this comment. Ignor the haters. Sailboats, by their very nature, always have a list of things that need to get done. Add the filming, editing, and keeping the marriage balanced and healthy, to those that have never done it, STFU. You two are a joy to watch and live vicariously through. I appreciate how much you let us see. Keep doing it. If I can help in any way, let me know.
Great video, and I especially appreciate your honesty - it is obviously not all fun living on a boat, and when you touch on difficulties, it adds even more reality to this channel - which to me is a great example of a documentary, sharing your life with us. Thank you! There are plenty of channels that show only smiles and sparkles, but that is not what true document should be.
Well said!!! Screw them…. Keep going and don’t change. Family and I love the content and motivation from you guys helps us keep saving $ for our first boat!!!
I for one, love seeing the hardships. THAT'S life. Good and bad. Type 2 fun is what keeps me watching. Not the diving beautiful coral reefs or the beach bon fires with cocktails and friends. It's the struggle and the willingness to overcome that is the spice for me. Keep it real. That's why I'm here! You both are an inspiration so don't let the haters get to you.
It is very hard to ignore negative comments when you work so hard to provide a quality product. The people making the comments are strangers for the most part and really don't matter. What really matters is, at the end of the day, how you feel about the work and effort you made. I look forward to watching your weekly updates and getting a lot of pleasure from the EFFORT AND HARD WORK you guys do to provide quality and a real look at the good, bad, and sometimes ugly. Thank you for what you do! Their are more of us out here that feel like I do. The few that do a thumbs down or make negative comments are the minority. They are the ones with the problem.
I totally understand the challenges you face. I used to sail and there is always something that needs addressing. Enjoy doing what you do and I’ll continue to enjoy your journey and hard work.
We want to see the good, the bad and the beautiful and the ugly. Keep showing us the real life, not just the good stuff. That is why we watch, for the whole story. Love you both, rock on!
I appreciate seeing the balance this life represents. It’s reality, so keep up your mission and don’t be afraid to show the challenges. In many ways, overcoming the challenges is more important than seeing the beauty around you!
I have enjoyed all your content. I live in Illinois in a town of 800 and I am a self employed carpenter. I am aware of life struggles and congratulate you on your presentation. We are happily married for 32 years with 6 grown children. Keep up the good work. P reston.
As I watch this episode and you show the struggles, the lifestyle you chose can be dangerous. There is a difference between taking a vacation and staying in a safe all inclusive resort. There is what you do, and you take your home across oceans, you risk a lot, but it’s what you love to do. To say you haven’t earned the right to complain, have never traveled to remote places. I am at the beginning of my adventure, I love to travel to remote places, and I travel solo, I take calculated risks, I understand what it means to be self sufficient. When you travel to remote places there will be a time when things go wrong, I love to see what goes wrong on a boat, and watching how you solves these problems. Your videos are great, and you do a good job showing the highs and lows, don’t mind the Karens who obviously don’t get it, and think what you do is easy.
Warren I’ve got to say this, ramble on bud as everyone does it. I love watching you and Erica and in particular your French Polynesian travels as it’s something I’d love to have done with my wife. I loved the closing clip of this one, nice one Tom and it’s good to see you again as well
Love the honesty in this episode. We are your target audience. Please continue to share the good times and the bad. We love watching your adventures and your challenges. From beautiful Winter Park, CO. P.S. We saw the WE Sail sticker up at the Coffee and Tea House at the base of WP!
the struggles are just as important as the good days for people like me whom need to learn all about what life will be like once i get out there. Keep doing you, great content, very valuable
WE Sail, one of the most realistic channels on TH-cam! Your content is why I tune in every week. Doing a circumnavigation is #1 on my Bucket list. I appreciate every drop of sweat and every tear shed. Keep up the good work and God bless 👍.
Screw all the haters and negativity out there. Keep up the amazing work you guys do. My wife n I love your channel and have bareboated twice on a helia 44. I’ve found you informative, entertaining and helpful in all aspects of what you guys deliver. 🍻
You are doing great I believe you are showing both side of the cruiser life style. Don't let other people bring you down love your guys's content it is no easy task. Most people don't understand 1 hour of Glory is paid for by 8 hours of work
i think your candid approach to showing the REAL life aboard gives us a better appriciation and understanding of your chosen lifestyle. please keep up your authentic videos and maybe even show us a little more behind the scenes when things are going quite as well. We are your target audence and we love your videos! keep it up :)
You are definitely allowed to have a moan… that’s life! Plus your dinghy having issues is like us having car problems which we would moan about … we enjoy the balance you show. We get to see you swim with amazing sea life in the most amazing destinations but also we see the realities of living on a boat and it’s not easy or for the faint hearted! Keep doing what your doing x
I think it's really important to portray the reality - and the huge responsibility - of life as a full time live aboard cruising family... especially far away from the relatively easy-access life of being in close proximity to US/EU services and conveniences. It's not for everyone ( thank goodness). That's why we do it, to live a self sufficient, challenging, and adventurous life. The smallest things can literally be a huge issue when you are relying on yourself to keep your home safe and afloat. I say it's even more valuable that people see the reality, responsibility, expense, stresses etc involved with bluewater cruising. Everyone is doing shiny-happy-people-in-paradise travel brochure vlogs. And, Hats off to hauling out in Atuona! One of the most expensive places in the S. Pacific, challenging weather and anchorage!! But it's also one of my most favorite islands, maybe because it represents the success of getting there. But the people, art and culture of the Marquesas remain my most loved and indelible memories). #Onward you guys. Please share "reality"
Sorry that people comment like that. I would love to experience boat life like that but I've never thought I could be "the guy" that can fix everything and do it without completely losing it. Guys like you and Brian and Tom and Colin are champs!
Don't often commit, but have followed you guys since the beginning. Screw the wanna bees. Anything worth doing will always take hard work. That is what makes the good times great. If they leave, I really do not think it will affect you that much monetarily. We will never please everyone all the time. Live your lives, share you story. Great to see Tom helping you guys. I have followed Parlay as well and Tom was a huge help for the. All around great mate. Stay safe and do you. We hope to be there soon.
Keep going guys and ignore the hater’s. of course life isn’t always roses or champagne sailing. ⛵️ stay true to yourself as always. Really like how you have evolved over the years 🎉
You all are the best and, as someone who hopes to transition to full time boat life at some point in the next while, I love that you’re honest about both the highs and the lows. Don’t let the haters get you down and keep doing what you do!
You guys rock. Love the honesty, nice explanation Warren, really good to see. We watch and support because you are honest, and like to see the goods and others of the life! Thank you both!
I look at as time is money, and money is not easy to come by. People think you are a u tuber and you make all the money, At all the sailing shows I watch I really loves yours, It is always up beat, and real. love you two ( three).
It is a wonderful life of amazing experiences, but you have to maintain your home on a salty environment. There will always be challenges, but it is not just through up the sails and have a drink. You guys are constantly working 24/7 making sure everyone is safe and the vessel is safe out in the middle of an ocean. We lived on a sailboat for 3 full years and I admire your love of what you both do and share.(we loved it as well) Please continue the amazing videos and even more than that please continue your adventures in life.
Another great video. Thank you for sharing the tough side of your lives. I’m sure it isn’t easy. Fair winds and following seas. I cannot wait to follow in your wake.
Our last Episode was called Dinghy SURFING, we did (still don't) not know how to beach our dinghy. We definitely understand the struggle. Keep it coming love the videos
I greatly appreciate that you share all there is of this lifestyle. Life has struggles for all of us and it is how we all respond to these challenges that defines us. I have dreamed of the lifestyle that you have for so long. I will be there someday.
Warren! Firstly you both are much appreciated. I care very little about complaining or bitching, we all have struggles in life. It is what it is the end. One thing you said struck a cord. Don’t think for a minute that we put your content above your happiness. Take care of your wife take care of your life if we get to see a bit excellent if we don’t see it all it is what it is the end⚓️🌴💜
I love your optimism. I told my with when you guy went throught the doldrums that these are my kind of people. You looked to the bright side in a though struggle. When you went off to chase after a stupid custion and flipped the dingy. You both came through like heros. Your stupid but stupid heros just the same. Your an inspiration to me and i look forward to watching WE SAIL every week.
You guys can vent all you want. The whiners are probably not sailors and will never get it. Thanks for sharing and we all learn something every episode.
We are still overlanders (not found the right boat yet). We know exactly what are you going through. A truck is not comparable to a boat but we know how to improvise like you have to do. You both are doing a great job and I would like to see more of your bad days because all your followers can learn a lot. Take care, good winds and always a smile on your face. Claudia and Thomas 🤗
The work is just part of the process. Keep fighting the good fight and keep up the good work!!! Retired engineer and former power boater here, now working on our RV as we travel. Maybe future sailor. I see the struggle as just part of the package. 😀😀😀
Totally get where you are coming from and life is subjective. Every experience can criticize the next but with maturity comes and understanding we all have different paths...and take in the good and the bad. From me to you...keep being you. I personally appreciate your story, your joys, and your challenges as they are all informational and entertaining in their own right. Keep teaching. Keep explaining. And keep bitching. I'll keep watching! I hope to run into you all someday out there.
I appreciate all aspects, please don't hide the hardship. Life is never just perfect, and even paradise has a cost. 👍 Thank you for your honesty.

You guys are killing it! Don’t apologize for anything. Everyone struggles, especially those telling you not to show it :)
Great episode. Don't apologize for struggling. We all have lifes challanges to overcome. Yours just comes with better views and less resources. Best of luck.
Keep doing what your doing. Screw the Naaaaa Sayers. Your videos are real and I speak for most saying they are awesome. Cheers
Great job Warren, Erika and Tom, great content, you should be able to say what you want, this is part of life.

always enjoy the candid conversations about the good and the bad of living on a catamaran. Keep up the good work and cheers you guys!

Warren and Erica (and Tom) you are AWESOME! We love your comments on real life actual situations. Bless you!! ❤
Don't worry about airing your feelings. Take your time and do what you need to do. Life is tough, even when others think it's a breeze. I, for one, love to hear how you're feeling and see what you are dealing with. Don't let the negative thoughts get you down. You're both doing a great job.❤
We love watching ya’ll❤ Keeping it honest is why WE watch ! See you out there one day ⛵️
Another great true to life episode.
Well actually thank YOU!! Really appreciate your message!!
Thanks!
life is tough were ever, for lots of reasons, keep up the good work, i
Chin up you guys.
You both do such an amazing job of filming , narrating, editing and staring in your videos.
No matter the life we have ,we all have shit days .
Keep being awesome 🇨🇦❤️🍻
Have been watching for years. Still here.
Stay safe!
Well thank YOU, much appreciated
It's always something....regardless of where or lifestyle. I think you folks do very well all things considered.
We want to see the good, the bad and the beautiful and the ugly. Keep showing us the real life, not just the good stuff. That is why we watch, for the whole story. Love you both, rock on!
Done and done, can do will do!!
True On-Line friends got your back!! Don't listen to the 1%. Thanks for sharing! This will help others that will not talk about it.
Thank you, very kind
Keep it real you guys! That’s what we’re here for. You’re both awesome!
Hey guys! So glad to see ya!
WE Sail, one of the most realistic channels on TH-cam! Your content is why I tune in every week. Doing a circumnavigation is #1 on my Bucket list. I appreciate every drop of sweat and every tear shed. Keep up the good work and God bless 👍.
Let them write negative things.... struggling is a normal thing. Be strong guys!!!!much love
Screw all the haters and negativity out there. Keep up the amazing work you guys do. My wife n I love your channel and have bareboated twice on a helia 44. I’ve found you informative, entertaining and helpful in all aspects of what you guys deliver. 🍻
Be true to you! Don't sweat what other people think - Stay Awesome! BTW, I love the boat work....
Warren.. stop complaining about ppl who have no clue - you guys are awesome!! see you in greece!!!
Keep on going i love you guys even with the struggles Greetz from Holland
Hi hi holland!! Wow thank you so much!!
Awesome, will do!! Thanks for taking the time to comment!!
I love that you guys keep it real. I now know I couldn't do that lifestyle on my own. Nor would I want to.
I have been enjoying your videos for a long time now. Keep living the life you love.
Great raw truth video . Love it
Very appreciative
Film what you want! People do not have to watch. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
I appreciate that! Cheers
No need to apologize! Nice editing. Always love to see Delos! And Tom is a star (I subscribed to his channel).
You know what they say “ grass it is always greener on the other side “
