When you say that nobody saw it. I hope you mean like not many people did because I certainly did, and it is a great thing to watch. Can’t get enough of Hilda 🥳
I am a 31 year old man with a love of fantasy and fond memories of growing up out in the woods. This show made me extremely nostalgic of my childhood. It’s also one of the few shows that chills my nephew out when he’s being a terrorist toddler. I was so sad when I realized that there would likely be no more seasons of this show. That said, I had such high hopes for this movie and it absolutely delivered. This was a wonderful work of art, that deals with serious human ideas and emotions, without having to be graphically violent or touch on other adult elements. Thank you for this analysis and lending a hand in the way of spreading the word about “Hilda”. The creators deserve all the fortune they may receive as a result of this show.
the entire series of Hilda means a lot to me. My nieces showed me the series after a life full of loss and confusion. I watched this movie last summer and am continually in awe of the story telling. So beautiful. I can't even talk about the series, movie included, without crying.
I saw it when it came out I love it in my opinion it’s the best movie of 2021 it’s such a shame that Netflix sucks at promoting they have some fantastic animated shows that deserve more attention
I recently watched the series back in November and I loved it and when I heard it was getting a movie I was excited and it didn't disappoint its a great movie that ties up everything but I also agree that the movie was under promoted
Extraordinary storytelling. I've been reading children's fiction for over 50 years (having never grown up) and Hilda is one of the best - she's likeable and intrepid, and the world Luke Pearson has created around her is brilliant -- and there are a lot of moral metaphors in the stories. One of the best things Netflix has done, without a doubt.
I watched it! I love Hilda and I REALLY wanted to see what I thought would be the next season. Then one day I just found it. Netflix didn’t even recommend me it! I just randomly found it 2 months after the movie released. I was really happy that it was finally here but then I realised how long it had been out and I was pissed. But I was 12 so who cares about what I cared about.
This show is one of my favorites. Everything in it appeals to me, including the characters, animation, plot, and, of course, the music. I recently finished the movie late because I was unaware that it had already been released. Netflix should have done a much better job at marketing this show. It's highly underappreciated, Hilda deserves a lot more attention.
I heard season 3 will be the last :( I kinda expects this to happen > Hilda meets her dad > Trolls and human live in peace side by side > Alfur finally leaving Trolberg and Hilda > Twig leave with his parents
I was just in the mood to find something to watch on Netflix, and I just stumbled on this gem of a movie. I loved it, and now I'm going through the show. It's so good!
I started watching Hilda a little while back from your suggestion and I love it. I watched the whole series a second time as a refresher after I realized the movie had been released on Netflix. The Nostalgia of the series and movie are amazing. Great stuff.
I actually saw the Hilda and the Mountain King trailer first and was what led me to the series. And yes, the first thought I had when I saw the trailer was "Is she naked?"
this is truly my no.1 favourite movie of all time. you cannot change my mind( unless it has something to do with Rio then i'll consider. But still. Hilda is the best)
I loved this movie. I do wish Alfur and Tontoo (or however you spell his name) did more, but it is hard to have a large cast of characters each play a role in a movie, but I really don't mind that much.
The minute I first saw the big troll (the mountain king) in the movie I knew he was the mountain king and when the twist was revealed I was like “well duh 🤐”
I honestly feel bad about the show and the movie not being promoted properly. A lot of people i've asked either didn't know their existence and later turned out to really enjoy them after my recommendation, or did know about the show but HAD ZERO IDEA that the movie is out. LIKE THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM. I'm doing my own part to promote the show, hopefully it'll blow up before season 3 is out. I really don't want it to become a sleeper hit long after its ending.
I haven’t had time for it and watched it a while ago and once I was done I wanted to find more information and reviews but I was late to find out about it
rewatching the whole show in preparation for this, because I started it and was like... wait, I don't fully remember everything that happened, I should re watch the previous episode. And then I stopped five minutes into that one and just thought, "eh I could rewatch it" and sooo yeah. No regrets. About halfway through season two and probably won't finish it until I have time this weekend. Once I do, I'm totally watching this video!!! (Finally here!)
That movie was much better than the series. Not sure if I was bored of the series even if I like the universe or the characters, but the movie was so much better.

It's honestly no surprise that the marketing for this movie was nearly non-existant. Netflix has this habit of never marketing animated series and movies as much as we would've liked. The only reason I even heard about Sony Animation's Vivo and The Wish Dragon was either my curiosity or word of mouth. It's pretty dumb that they would just drop a trailer or two (maybe a poster) and just never give that show/movie much attention after. It really does make you question if Netflix truly cares about the medium of animation.
The weird thing is that their animated stuff is SO GOOD right now. They have this show, Kid Cosmic, Arlo, Centaurworld (which I haven’t watched but heard it’s really good), Vivo, Wish Dragon, Over The Moon, the list goes on. You can at least tell that the people MAKING the content love/care about it:)
