Great video. Really not sure how you got so much great information in under 9 minutes. Pretty amazing. I agree with the 10mm drop as this is a great option in the stability category for those who are having calf or Achilles issues. And.....I wear Altra's.
Thanks! Really appreciate it! There's been this big trend of brands lowering the drops in their shoes to match the trends of Hoka. It is great to see a brand sticking to that to help the people that need that 10mm+ drop.
Great video, just picked up a pair of these in Blue expanse/ Digital aqua, love the color way with that darker sole sides. I wear these with roadrunner max cushion insoles and the fit perfectly. these seem to have nicer padding around the ankle and I like the pull tab. If its a stability shoe you need, then this is it I use them for work I'm on my feet all day and these are very comfortable.
Thanks for watching! The Kayano is currently our most popular Asics model, and one of our top picks for standing on your feet all day. Glad to hear you loved yours!
So I recently came across your channel. I’m a new runner and have started running in a Nike tech trainer as it’s what I had from a couple years ago. I’m a big guy trying to get into this sport, 6ft 275. I’ve been running 3rd mile intervals with my walking and picked up to trying to run more and more of my walks. Did a couple 5k distances and the last one I did I did just over 4 miles with lots of hills and have some bursitis going on in both knees from running while super fatigued . I’ve also noticed that my outside heal is wearing far more and the ball of my foot just under my big toe is as well. I have some big toe pain after running but minimal. I’m looking for a shoe to be kind of the do all and not sure if a stability shoe is for me or not. Again I’m new, not in the best shape yet and only have the budget for one shoe but I’m also not out there burning 6,7 min miles 10-15 miles at a time. I’m 10/11 min miles and my long runs will probably be around 5k-4 miles with a couple 2 milers a week
Find any stability shoe that fits comfortable for you. I found that the ASICS gel Kayano 31 is the best for walking and daily wear, Any gel Kayano should work for your feet.
We find that Asics shoes tend to run a smidge narrow. If you have a standard width foot you will probably be fine. However, if you are slightly on the wide side, we suggest going up in size.
I just tried them on in a local shop and I don’t like the way Asics chopped the end of the toe off square almost like a pair of square toed cowboy boots I know that’s hyperbole, but it seems like the shoe is shorter overall for the size and there’s less length for your toe it almost looks like they were trying to make it more like the foot shaped shoes but all they did was chop the end of the toe off so you have less length. I would have to size up another half size to get tow room that I like, but then the ball of my foot wouldn’t be in the right spot. It would just be too big a shoe for me.

Good stuff.
A Kayano vs Nimbus would be a great video.
Thanks for watching! Definitely a great idea for a video, we will keep it in mind!
What do you suggest between these and the New Balance 860 v14?
What shoe would u recommend if i m having corns and callus in my feet😢 i really need amazing shoes for 9 hours standing job
What everyday sneaker do you suggest for someone that has slightly flat wide feet that doesn't do a lot of walking/running?

I had to go with a wide width though. It’s hit or miss needing wide width shoes.

What about the weight? It weighs 305 grams. Is this a heavy weight while running and constantly moving?
Relatively speaking, the shoe is on the heavier side. However, for the shoe's category with its extra cushion and support, it is very lightweight.
@@RunMoore This means that I can run and walk with it for a long time, especially in hot atmosphere areas like my country.
It feels like a Hoka bondi 8 but better.
Thanks for watching. Glad to hear you liked it!
