@@Robbiemoto No problem matey 😎👍🏻 Whenever you can make it. I have upgraded to a Track Pack and I'm just curious as all the difference I see between Track & Performance is the colour of the display 😅
Got mine delivered and fitted and zero movement from the shifter...test ride required but first impressions are great. Quality part, well machined, lil pricey but who cares about that lol. Thanks again for the recommendation Rob 👍👍👍
My pleasure mate. That’s pretty much my thoughts. But you have to add in the R & D to the price as well I guess. I’m doing a review at the weekend weather permitting. I have their swing arm crash bung to fit and give an opinion on as well so that’ll be coming in the next few weeks.
Snap! I was getting the odd false neutral. Checked the linkage bolts tight . If you look where the linkage bolts gos through there is a same size hole just 2-3 mm above. if you move it up , it will shorten the gear throw Seemed to help to make a quicker sharper gear change .
I’ve not had an issue until a few weeks ago and as said in the video tightening that bolt made a big difference. But maybe this brace will stop it from working loose. We’ll see.
Hi Robbie, have you changed the gear indicator switch ( gear sensor as KTM calls it ) If you can give me any heads up I have to do it on mine 2015 Super Duke Thanks, Nik
Yet another great clip mate. After your recommendation last rear for the throttle spacers from racetorxs I shall be ordering o e of those alos. If anything looks great. Have you or anyone for that matter ever had an issue where going from 2nd to 3rd doesn't happen? The gear sector on the screen goes blank and just doesn't select the next gear.
Cheers for the info mate. Seem to only happen on the odd occasion and since fitting my reasets however I've been in touch with racetorx and I think every bugger saw your clip before me and bought there stock lol. Apparently those support shifter arms are selling like wild fire so waiting to hear if they have one hiding on the shelf lol. Thanks again
@@shaney765 That’s typical lol. I’d like to think it was down to my video but I doubt it. Hopefully they’ll get stock again pretty soon. Maybe your rear sets need a little tweak.
@@Robbiemoto I'll go with down to you mate lol. Have to hit them up for a percentage of the sales. Hopefully they have a couple knocking about and I can order on today. I think this maybe the case although fine in other gears. Just another day with owning a ktm hey lol.
yes that is exactly what I have; first did start showing MTC failure; but my battery is pretty new and also I keep it on a battery charger First I was thinking something wrong with the computer; MTC failure will come and go; Did take it to the dealer and MTC failure was not there so I did not leave it; This did continue for a year before the last flickering between neutral and 1st; then no gears indicator at all and then it would not start with battery fully charged
I have 2014 S1000RR and the Beemer is more reliable; better made, no leaks BMW is also more reliable; KTM America immediately caved when I called them; the local dealer did try to help with getting a new radiator but no luck; a new one was close to $600; fortunately easy to install
I’ve read a few times how poor KTM’s customer service is. It can put dealers in an awkward situation as most want to help but can end up out of pocket when KTM should payout. Was the rad not repairable. I had a 2011 Z1000 and a stone hit it. I managed to get it welded otherwise a new one from Kawasaki was around £800 at the time.
KTM 1290 gen 3. Only 10000kms the gear box has become very rigid. Hard to find neutral n tough shifting. At the lights I have to hold the clutch. Anyone facing same issue
Hi. I’m sorry that you’re having trouble. I’m afraid I’ve not heard of anything like that. Do you use the quickshifter ? Maybe it could do with a calibration. Or check to see if the clutch slave cylinder is leaking. Does your clutch lever feel light as in not much resistance when pulled in.
@@Robbiemoto hi. I use quick shifter at high revs only, clutch feels normal, no leakage. Bikes under warranty. Nx week I'm getting a new tyre. Will ask workshop to take a look at the gears. They have to fix the indicator not working error. Keeps coming n going.
@@Robbiemoto when the bikes off the gears smoothly change. And goes into neutral. When its running hard to switch to neutral and usual shifting is also not smooth like it used to be. Thanks for reading my messages. Will have to wait few more days
KTM did bulshit the dealer for a month asking for pics trying to figure out their own failure at my expense; so I took the bike and did replace the radiator; The first one I did pick up from parts had a defective upper right mounting bracket so I had to wait for a second one; Before that the battery died; now the gear indicator on the dashboard disappeared and has no crank; would not start at neutral; Will try to clean the gear indicator first and than will see
Take a look at this post on KTM forums. Sounds like the guy had similar issues and was caused by flat battery. You need to scroll down a few posts to see it. www.ktmforums.com/threads/2014-super-duke-1290r-blank-gear-indicator-and-no-neutral-light.131361/

thanks will do;
first have to get to the sensor' and clean it; the wires lead me to behind the kick stand where it should be located
