These also seem popular with Ducati riders, not something that bothers me personally. Checking the part numbers, you're correct, the 2022 model has the quick action throttle, I never knew that. 👍👍
Great vid I put these on my gen 2 superduke and they was i right faff, I ended up breaking 2 a lost 1 so mine has only got 1 in it . Has made a big difference to the throttle response. The biggest change I've done to improve the throttle was to get the rottweiler sas and canister removal kit and the o2 sensor delete, make the bike run so much smother at lower revs .
Alright mate, cracking video as usual really enjoyed it ,I've got a similar situation with my 2022 mto9, it's got approximately 2/3 mm of freeplay on my throttle, I asked about it at my dealership where I purchased the bike and he said it's a safety feature to help stop you over snapping the throttle open when on a closed throttle on a bumpy road surface, might look for something similar to your solution, anyway mate looking forward to the next video ,stay safe mate 👍
Glad to hear from you. Hope they work out well. On a side note, I've got a question regarding the Speed Triple for you. When I blip or rev the bike, as the revs return to idle, it "hangs up" at about 1200 before dropping to a smooth 1000. I've never owned a fly by wire bike before; is it something to do with that? Did yours do that too? It's not anything that I'm worried about, but it seems strange to me. It does it when cold or warm. Would love to know why it does this.
Hey Scott Weirdly enough I was thinking of this last night, it tends to pause for a slight moment before returning to idle. Used yo bug me quite a bit too as it made the throttle feel spongy I don't know anything official but the only thing I can think of is that it's some kind of buffer unbuilt to the ECU/TPS tables that add some form of stall-protection, so that the RPMS don't dip below idle after blipping the throttle. However I'd contact triumph for the official answer.
@@sergeantsodom6969 I was thinking the same thing... stall protection. Some carb set ups have a device that essentially does the same thing. I've pretty much gotten over it now though. Thanks for responding. If you don't post before Christmas, have a happy holiday.
Came here to look for a vid as I was having exactly the same issue getting the throttle back into the housing. RaceTorx claim these are precision parts, measured to 30 microns, what a load of nonsense, the two they sent me were completely different visibly, and when I used the second one (which was thinner), the throttle went on with minimal force. Thanks for the vid, disappointed with the quality of these items.
Thx. Did this to my '19 790 using a gash piece of plastic cut to fit one of the grip slots. Worked a treat! (Thickness required circa 0.040"/1 mm)

fitted mine yesterday, and they are great. make a real difference.
Previous 1290 had the same issue. Will defo be using these this time
Great vid

Thats next on the list of purchases! Ta mate
True to that! Just got mine installed yesterday. And the rottie’s howling is amazin 😅
I got these, fiddly job, ended up just putting one in and it did the trick.
Do you have a link for your mirrors please. Great vid, I have a 2.0 and might have to fit one.

YEEEES! It’s so annoying coming from a snappy off-road style throttle response. It’s way worse in the adventure 390 in the slop rolling it.
It looks like your running after market bars, could you tell us what they are, thanks
Pro taper carmicheals I think
I can only imagine the throttle sticking would be how you have replaced the bar end, no? Did they come with some grease also?
Mjghtve been, however It was all fine in the end and have had no sticking issues since.
No grease supplied
Ta!
