James, what's your story? Here's mine. Brutally hot day. Hiding in the basement building a kayak, listening to WXPN. I think it was Free on Fridays, but I can't remember. Poison and Wine starts playing. I think, "WHO IS THIS?" and grab a pen and paper to write their names down. On that day the hook was set deep in my jaw..

I think anyone who has ever loved someone maybe a little too long can understand this song. I couldn't stop crying. At 2:42 when they are singing face to face, you almost think they are going to kiss, then the music stops and she backs away. Greatest song EVER!

I come back to this song so often, even after 12+ years. It’s hauntingly beautiful, something in the fabric of their very voices is so deeply beautiful and also painful. Will never forget the impact of first hearing this song, it’s so rare to hear to people sonically intertwine in such a beautiful way.

I think chemistry is one of reasons they broke up - both married to other people but looked like couple in music videos 🤔. That in itself is poetry leaving the band for a higher more nobler cause ..their respective marriages.
So sad these two split up. There is NO ONE out there to fill their void. NONE, THATS whats so heart breaking. What they had was akin to magic! The way they harmonized? Their style? Just friggin EVERYTHING! Jeez! I have missed their music soo much. Damn. They really let their fans down. I do hope that they are BOTH doing well in their personal lives now. I also hope they know how much they are missed & how much we wish they would have worked out their differences. I honestly PRAY they still will. Just....damn.....just sad. All I can say.

Other's decisions, circumstances, societies' expectations, etc...sweeps us along to an inevitable outcome we did not ask for, but our hearts choose to hold on to the love even if the pain is too much to bear.

I love this song it talks about the push and pull of being in love with another person. It's like poison and wine in the relationship because of the ups and downs we go through. A really powerful song with so much depth as we have all experienced mixed emotions and have been on the rollercoaster of a relationship.

This song is sung with so much passion that you can't help but be drawn in and yet you still feel the hope that calls out to you.
