Incase you didn't know, Taylor represents a lost soul of Primrose Everdeen, who is now wondering around the ruins of district 12, looking for her caring mother and sister.
So the scenes in the house could be her parents and Katniss before her dad passed
Great, as if I needed more tears
And just like that I’m reading Hunger Games now
XxGacha LeahxX maybe it is cause Katniss’ parents use to sing her dad taught Katniss the hanging rope and her mom banned her for singing it for her cause she said it’s twisted and is an act of treason
you did not need to make me cry in about three seconds
Safe and sound WALKED so folklore and evermore could RUN. I remember when this came out I wanted her to make more music like this ❤
i like you
Same. This song should have gotten more credit then it did get. It was not nominated for an Oscar and it should have had. Nobody wanted a young woman to get to much I guess. She is still fighting that. She also looks so beautiful in the video. She actually looks better without that red lipstick.
Facts. Criminally underrated. It was on top of my list for songs I hoped she would sing during her acoustic set
ty 4 acoustic🎉🎉sao Paulo n2!!!
The Civil Wars made the music sound this way. Not Taylor... sorry
I love how Taylor is meant to represent Prim's ghost wandering around the ruins of district twelve and then in the Can't Catch Me Now video Olivia is meant to represent Lucy Gray finally being free

I remember tears streaming down your face when I said "I'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said "don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound.
Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby even when the musics gone, gone
Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound
Just close your eyes, you'll be alright
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound

I read a theory somewhere that Taylor is actually playing Prim’s ghost wandering the ruins of District 12 after the end of Mockingjay.
After seeing this comment I actually Made a video for Primrose with this song , I can't stop crying rn :(
Four or five years ago, I once babysat this little baby boy. Every time his mother left him to me so I could look after him, _he cried, so I sang this song_ to get him to stop crying and fall asleep. Every time I sang anything to him, he would just stop crying and fall asleep right away as I rocked him back and forth in his stroller and it was one of the most precious things you'd see
this is the most beautiful thing i read today
i know taylor won’t be re-recording this bc it’s not owned by big machine but i need her to sing it at least once more bc this would sound so beautiful with her matured voice.
in the description it says it belongs to big machine
@@dheyson222 It's tricky because the album which the song is for is not owned by Big Machine Records, it's owned by Republic and Mercury Records.
i’m pretty sure she will be. i think everyone is missing the point of the re-records. it’s not so scooter doesn’t get money, it’s so she can own her work. she doesn’t care about scooter, she just wants to own the stuff she wrote and created.

Here after Can’t Catch Me Now by Olivia & wow…I forgot how much I loved this song.
Taylor and Olivia’s songs are the best from all soundtracks (in my opinion)
the way taylor and olivia's mvs are so similiar
I was just thinking this
I first read the Hunger Games for academic purpose, to analyse the characters. There's one thing that my teacher said that sticks with me "If you're patient to read the sequels, you'll know, Katniss is more than just a girl, a tribute, or the mockingjay. She's a character with depths that when you study close enough, you'll learn a lot"
I can feel it.😭
It's true. Out of all the characters in famous YA dystopian book series, Katniss Everdeen is the only one that is relatable because she went through so much and almost lost everything she's ever had. She helps you rethink about your life and be grateful for the little things. And it's one of the reasons why The Hunger Games will always be relevant.
Amazing...... Every....... Time.....
@@enolaholmes2111 I mean she's like Food first, love second. This is literally the reason why I love her.
Hello I'm back with a project called characters' financial future. Couldn't believe Katniss could be this rich

I love how peaceful her solitude here. No one will understand how I fell in love with silent, and choosing to be alone. Being in solitude in this kind of place in the MV seems horrifying for others but it's paradise.
Someone tells me why this song makes me feel so safe but at the same time it makes me cry too.
There are songs with heart touching feelings and memories. This is one of those songs. There are the beautiful songs. They remind us of loved ones. Passed ones. Sad ones. Glad ones. This song reminds you how dear your life means and how much a single hello or a single wave could be so joyous. This song reminds you passed ones and how everything will be okay. This song reminds you its fine to be insecure and not be normal. This song reminds you the meaning of life. The reason to fight. The message of love. The note of death. This song is a helper to many through rough times. To those that need love. Who think they dont have a reason to fight. Who hate themselves. Who are scared. Who feel insecure. Whom are bullied. Who are depressed. Those that need comfort. But there is still a small spark of hope with in them, even if they dont realize it. Even if they deny it. The comfort and love ignites the sparks. It fans the flame and the flame grows. The flame is not always there but the spark is. These songs ignite the flames too because they remind us that we'll turn out okay. That there will be another day. It shows us the light. Gives another reason to fight. We cry only for so long before we drain our salty tears. We can only bare so much pain. But if we fight. We can continue the journey of life. This song reminds you that your safe. You're not alone. We're all in this together. We bond. A great quote I heard before is,"Normality is like a paved road. Perfect but doesn't grow any flowers." That means life would be anti-climatic without weirdness or oddness. Dont feel insecure about your insecurities. Cherish them. This is the safe song.
*For those going through rough times. Just remember your safe.*

Taylor represents Prim as a ghost and she visits District 12, and everything's dead. She's basically singing to Katniss, and the lyrics;
Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire,
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby even when the music's gone, gone...
This verse talks about the war, the fire that burned the district down, and when Katniss and her father are gone because they were the music in that household. Also, there is a direct reference to the Hunger Games when she picks up the Mockingjay pin.
