- How do you do the Stone Circle 155km Gravel event when you dont have a gravel bike? Well... i borrowed one from my brother, who knows nothing about gravel bikes. This was a fun one because i was determined to do this event but i had no idea how i was going to manage that without a gravel bike. My brother bought a bike online for cheap and its been sat in his garage for a year- so i went round and grabbed it then rode it 155km around the Stone Circle event. Great day out and thanks to all involved.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the content; I've been enjoying your recent videos a lot! Watching this inspired me to open up Komoot and start looking at the trails around Wiltshire 💪
Appreciate it. Just been enjoying it and making the most of summer… or what we are having of it
I enjoy how you honestly capture the highs and lows of these kind of cycling events. My two gravel sportives have been great apart from the crashes in the rutted grass tracks, still not sure how to deal with them. A tutorial video would be good!
Agreed with the Others… Your Video Content and Quality really makes for some Enjoyable Watching 👍🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️
Add to my comment… On these Big Rides… Always carry some IBU and Tylenol… For all the What If’s 🤔👍🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️
Thank you- comments like this definitely help. So I appreciate that
Enjoyed the video. Definitely made me want to give it a go next year 🎉
I’d suggest it just for the checkpoint snacks alone
fair play for making so much good quality videos
Cheers. Appreciate it
Great to meet you at the King Alfred's tower, Max. I was the random stranger arguing over Unbound editing times. I will add that I was wrong.. highlights were 3 days after.. not 2. I also blew up massively after seeing you! Was a long sufferfest back home. Great riding mate.
Hey man- that was one of the first things I checked when I got home!!! Insane editing turn around for an hour long piece from those guys.
Great to meet you, was hoping you guys would drag me all the way back, hope it ended well for you
Was fine thanks and recovered ok in the last 20k. Think it was mostly the heat. Will definitely be back next year.
I’d definitely put plugs in the bars, otherwise could act like an apple corer, not what you’d want on your quads (or balls)! Enjoying the video!
😳😳 would rather avoid de-coring my balls thats for sure
There’s a rather harrowing video out there of that happening. The open bar end cut the guy’s femoral artery. Never ride without bar ends!
Ok wow!!! Immediately sorting that out
Jo is lovely 🥰
Did you change the saddle?
Nope- kept it the same. Was fine for me but can see the benefit of upgrading the saddle- it was one of the weaker areas
@@thewattlife Lucky you! I’ve been struggling to find “the right” saddle for a few years.
I have balls of steel though, never had a problem with a saddle in my life
Holy Grail of UK gravel is Kielder Forest and the Dirty Reiver
Frame is aluminium not steel
Noted.
@@thewattlife Fat tube thickness and massive welds are the dead giveaway that it's Al not steel
Well it survived an absolute bashing 👌🏻
I wonder if your brother once dreamt of owning a bicycle that was hearing aid brown ? 😂
Might have been why it was discounted online
@@thewattlife all seriousness the best bike in the world is the one you are sat on at the time
