- Unfortunately I ran out of day light in the video but Im coming up on 2 years of ownership on my 2003 Mercury Marauder and couldn’t be happier. I have put about 10,000 miles on it and have had almost zero problems. This is car # 2537 of 7838 and was built July 19, 2002.
Still completely stock and my future plans are mentioned in the video. Please be sure to like and subscribe

I really wish that I hadn't seen your video. I've wanted a Marauder for several years. The prices shot up two years ago, so I forced myself to forget about it. Now, because of you, there may be two Maraurders in the Tampa area next year. Thanks for a great video. Cheers.
I hope you can make it happen, such a great car and thank you for watching. I do feel prices will come down some again but if you dont find one a really clean P71 i do feel would be just as fun and will also climb in value
Dude what a sleeper. Just love that dark black gloss paint, and what's under the hood. The ultimate Panther platform!
For sure and so much fun to drive. Took it through the curves in North Carolina and it was just a blast. Thanks for watching 😎👍
A luxury/sporty Grand Victoria. I ❤ it!
I know the exact tick you are talking about. I bought my Marauder in 2006 with 36000 miles and still drive it. Every Marauder makes that noise from the day they roll off the assembly line. From what I understand, that tick comes from the valve train, not the pistons, and it's a non-issue. 18 years later and a supercharger, and no engine issues.
Having driven this particular Marauder, I can tell you that it is an incredible automobile. I am an Impala SS owner and must say this car is much more refined.
Thank you 😎👍both great cars for sure
Sweet Marauder! I’ve been daily driving my black ‘03 for 11 years and it’s been fantastic. Only thing I hate is the gas mileage + premium fuel. There’s really nothing else like it though
Thank you and that's awesome how many miles on it now? Yeah I agree the fuel side of it all isn't the best but im willing to look past it bc like you said, there's really nothing like it
@@lsx_doc I bought it with 49K on the clock after the original owner traded it in. Up to 185K now and I can’t see getting rid of it!
Stay bless, these sound so good stock. I do want one in the future but as a daily but only a few downsides the price of these are insane and I've been reading here & there if you want sqaure tire fit the ones with traction control you have to it off still trying to find others that have positive outcomes doing that cause I'm not a fan of the front being smaller than the rear say you get a flat you're pretty much screwed
Mine doesnt have traction control, maybe check out 2003’s….i do wish i jad a sun roof which was 04 only. Could always runnthe tires you want and tune it out later to not throw any issues with Marty Ochs tuning
People are eating the Marauder vids up because Marauders bad ass
Lol couldnt agree more. Merry Christmas to yall
I got one. It's my favorite car but I got to sell it. Sucks. I'm trying to keep it
That sucks, hope you can fig out a way to keep it
Where did you get the Marauder mats?
They were just cheap mats the previous owner had made at a flea market
Make sure you disable overdrive going WOT.
Not necessary as the computer does it for you and it’s not capable of being in overdrive at WOT. For years ive read online people saying this but i really think this stems more from the older aod’s that had the throttle valve cables which was crucial for proper pressures. Supposedly not taking it out of overdrive can prematurely wear the band from goin 4th to 2nd but for years in the transmission shop i worked at we never saw that much evidence of it making any kind of impact and we were perfomance oriented. Now if someone is towing or making crazy power then of course but with a stock setup like this it wont affect anything. The pull in the video was also at such a low speed that it didnt make the climb down from OD but i still wouldnt be concerned doing it as line pressures and computer control makes it kind of a thing of the past
I’ll be 26 and I want one so bad lol
Hang in there, hopefully one day for ya👍
@@lsx_doc appreciate it homie - found a minty 41k mile one literally down the road from me! Gotta go scrap some cash up now lol
@C0nnie right on! Hope it works out
Gotta put up with…
FTX on plate.
😂ya know it’s funny you said that. I absolutely love investing, spend more time on it than i do a lot of other things and I only got the plate because I liked it and it matched the car a little bit. Totally forgot the FTX part was even on it. SBF can rot. Good catch
