Sunaki1000 nah in master rank he’s pretty much flying 24/7 and flash only works twice. Cause back in high rank I finished him in 6 minutes
@@thatcringedfacedou flashes don't only work twice. They go on cooldown after use after the second use just stop using flashes for an while or he'll stay completely immune to them.
That time tho!! Very Nice bug run! I love seeing IG represented as a viable speedrun weapon. I have a tempered velkhana run up now I got a 6.35 PB on if you want to check out the build. I'm hoping to push it under 5 min but still working on the optimal build and strats atm
Velkhana is the monster I most struggle with and you just destroyed in under 5 minutes. FeelsBadMan.
If you're having a hard time with Valkhana you are in for a world of hurt when you fight actual hard MR monsters.
high risk high reward my dude, u can't go anything but max deeps, or else you gonna drag the fight longer only to stay alive, doing more damage means more flinch and ko, quick deaths. you just need to get familiarize with attack pattern, it takes time to learn to.
Velkana is one of the few mr monsters with multiple viable elemental weak zones. He melts to fire.

Is it me or does it seem like Capcom added a ledge in every single fighting area in Iceborne? Great for ledge exploiting weapons, but it has led to more deaths for me than anything else.

What's the combo you are using on its Head when it's knocked down? I kinda see a triple hit combo, but it's not the triangle slash nor the Circle One?
Those first 3 hits I mean, followed by 2x Circle-Combo?
I was testing and at about 1:15 I believe the combo is just Y-Y-Y or Triangle-Triangle-Triangle then just B or Circle for Tornado Slash but I'm not sure if it was intentional or an accidental press of the Y or Triangle an extra time because I believe Circle Circle to end it is more damage
the other ones are basically just either leaping circle strike then tornado slash so directional circle and then circle or thrust with directional triangle then circle circle but that's just from watching I'm honestly trying to learn myself
Going off of what someone else had said, if he's trying to get to tornado slash as much as possible, almost 3 times when the monster is downed, then thrust, into wide sweep, into tornado slash or just standing wide sweep into tornado slash seem to be the go-to's
@@RedSky13 Thanks for the input. Tried it out in the training room. I really think Circle Circle is the hardest hitting combo, then you interrupt the "cooldown" after tornado slash with a Triangle and then again circle circle into another tornado slash.
He must have pressed triangle accidentally 3x instead of 2x @1:14

Great run as always zebra do you really not see the benefit of buffing kinsect with ammo or does it mess your times and staggers up cause they can hit hard when fed and it's always doing work on monsters for ya
Use of slinger ammo isn't allowed in TA rules so he doesn't pick it up at all. In normal play always buff the kinsect

Very nice run still ! What do you think of IG compared to World, does the new tools help make it on par with top tier weapon or is it still lacking ?
SaygerTF2 welp... ig could go sub 4 for velkhanna while bow is at 2:15 ish... so not top tier AT ALL, sadly :(
@@alexandreclement1018 Uh oh. Well, they buffed IG in a balance change in world, let's bet on that.. right now it feels like IG was designed as a support weapon that gets mount damage and kinsect buffs :(
@@alexandreclement1018 comparing a bow run to glaive is a bit silly.the two stand out weapons in world are spread hbg and bow which are always in there own tier
Welsh monster Hunter yeah Ik but when you're talking about top tier you talk about bow, spread hbg and aerial hammer (hammer is better than gs now)
@@alexandreclement1018 to be fair, the runs you are talking about do not use TA rules ... I certainly don't think IG is competitive with bow with or without TA rules but comparing times done when one guy has his wrists cuffed and saying he sucks because he is twice slower is certainly not fair at all.

Ground IG is currently "The faster you get to tornado slash, the better"
Wide sweep deals more damage as well, as well as the fastest attack to get to tornado slash
I personally try to avoid rising slash, I can't tell you how many times i've gotten caught in that long animation and paid the price for it.

Hey Zebstrika, its me kitaek27 again. I always thought TA meant tits and ass, and you were just saying that you played a girl character. It's recently come to my attention that it means you're following some arbitrary rules about not being allowed to use sling ammo or something. What gives? Isn't it more impressive that you use every tool and assets available to you for a faster hunt? Isn't it way cooler when you're able to adapt to the environment like a real hunter should? Why does the community try to limit us proud speedrunners like that?
I'm real sick of it, frankly. Just like Smash Brothers, the greatest and most prominent game of the fighting game community, holds you back with stupid rules like not allowing final smash or items. What's the fun in that? It definitely takes more skill to use items, because you have to be knowledgeable about how best to use every item in the game. That's why I had to leave the FGC, though I sometimes still play my personal favorite fighting game Marvel vs Capcom infinite for its amazing graphics and gameplay.
Anyways when you're ready to cast off those shackles and soar with me to greater heights, let me know and I'll show you my secret barrel bomb and redpit trick.

Sadly your Video was the only one, and because you used the tenderizing Mechanik and because Iceborns Rathian is quiet different, it wasnt helpfull in the End.

Wym? Afaik TA didnt allow ledge abuse like airborne GS and Hammer. IG is different.
IG in the air is not nearly as strong as GS, hammer, or that like wall jump bow thing.

They don't allow you to abuse aerial attacks, but you can use em.

Youre doing something wrong then. The speedrun time with bow right now (non TA) is 2:15. Each arrow in a powershot can hit up to 100 under the right conditions. Bow is still an absolute beast when you stack tons of crit and elemental.
