Play it how you like my friend, but don’t be one of those guys that denies the proof. It should be noted that this was base world. I’m assuming it’s still not as strong in Iceborne.

It was so OP in 4U they basically had to nerf mounting. You could topple a monster as soon as it got up from the previous topple. 4-man IG with Starknight was basically like a HAME run.

When I started Iceborne I dropped Insect Glaive because it and chargeblade where the only weapons I used and I really wanted to try new weapons and now I play Great Sword, Light Bowgun, Gunlance, Hammer, and Bow but this video really makes me want to go back
Is there a reason why you didn't let ur Kinsect also attack? You were sending it to the monster and then instantly get some fluid to just hover in the area and don't attack.
If you aim and press triangle + circle (I think, I play on PC so controls are different) it powers up your kinsect using slinger ammo, different ammo has different effects and duration. He's using a glaive that gives Spirit & Strength buff, which means that when powering it up he will get both effects (increased stamina for the kinsect and higher dmg on its attacks + vastly increased extract duration). S&S Boost is particularly useful because you can use thorn/slinger/bomb pods to give you both buffs, and they power up your kinsect for 5 minutes, whereas other slinger ammo gives only 1-2 minutes. Essential for proper IG gameplay.
Lt + y and b on the xbox Controller. Only usable while having dinger amo. Those Symbols Show kinsect buff. Red means kinsect Stronger yellow means More stamina

vSniiqes HK I’m hoping it gets a buff. It’s always been a fair weapon, but it doesn’t have any big moves that make it really shine. The ground comboes alone can only do so much 😞
@@azzamanes2556 There's this screenshake/blur that happens when monster roars "hit". That's what you gotta dodge for, it's gonna be different for every monster.
To add to what papoteer said, flinch shots and wall bangs aren’t allowed in TA speedruns. TA rules also disallow palicoes and mantles, etc. It’s a different speed run category for a different style of hunt.

Any slinger ammo other than flash pod and screamer pod can be used with attacks by Gun Lance, Insect Grave, and Bow that consumes slinger ammo So yeaaa for some weapon
Oh how I would love that more Insect Glaive hunters watched this and realize aerial IG is not the big damage route... maybe that way we wouldn't be so hated and have fame for being carried in multiplayer

Yes, it is very fun and safe but eventually other hunters get tired of those low numbers and to be honest, aerial IG most of times do very little damage akin to being just 3 hunters with buffs instead of 4 hunters :/ Don't get me wrong, I love the Insect Glaive since 4U... but i like to be fair damage wise.
I don't recall the last time I have seen a IG main join quests I'm in, IG must be really disappointing in Iceborne, did it get nerfed or something? 90% of the time I either see LS or bowgun mains...
@@wallacesousuke1433 Clawing with the IG is kinda awkward (you have to press r3 to aim the slinger with the weapon out, like bowguns) and its a light weapon, so you gotta do it twice, it upsets a lot of people, the weapon itself feels pretty good in IB, specially with the new dive

I just like the manueverability of the glaive but if it comes to dps ground glaive is much better than aerial glaive but what is the best glaive tho?

It was so OP in 4U they basically had to nerf mounting. You could topple a monster as soon as it got up from the previous topple. 4-man IG with Starknight was basically like a HAME run.
I downloaded a mod that makes IG get the full tenderize in one combo and it improved the weapon considerably

How you have active the 2 effect os kinsect? The red and yellow when you feed it
His weapon's Kinsect Bonus gives Spirit & Strength boost. It lets him get both buffs no matter what slinger ammo he uses on his kinsect.

That is a health regen augment, you unlock augments in iceborne after mr100.

how do you roll out of the roars even though you start the roll after the roar starts???
Raging Brachy's roar "hitbox" is super late for some reason. You have to roll just after the sound starts instead of right before.

Can anybody explain me why speedrunners do that thing at the beggining where they make the monster turn but not hit the wall? What does that make?

This only happens if the glaive you are using has strength and spirit boost as its kinsect bonus

Is kjar IG (elemental) better than brachy IG?
Water kjarr for monster with weakness 30+ on water. Paralysis kjarr is good, meta for status, the rest remains the same brachy for raw.
