I saw that you got the “vaal hazak custom upgrade” for the weapon. How did you get it? I have only 4 basic monster upgrades. What does it give?

You unlock more of them from buying any of the first four monster upgrades, then you can choose between more tiers. Buying one of those will again unlock a new custom tier. I think Val Hazaak is on the third tier of custom mods. That being said, it's best to stack 5 of the upgrades (Say, 5 mods with all 1% affinity for a 5% boost) but if you're like me you're probably going for style on the last one :-)

Yo Zebra what's your opinion on the Nerg IG? You can run an Agitator/Peak set with 95% affinity base, and over 100% with Agitator

I'm curious as how much defense on monster parts got reduced after getting a clutch claw attack, how long and maybe if it does stack with a couple of attack.

Im not a glaive user, but i was wondering why is it that you see speed runners leaving their kinsect idle for much of the fight only to send them out after a combo or something? I feel like maybe there is some potential dps loss when you do that
I believe they do it to animation cancel solely, any focus on its damage would be time wasted because it is so negligible.
Silver Los not good for Insect Glaive? Was hoping it was.
I think no one has crunched the numbers on an optimal build using true crit element yet. It’s also tougher to build around and you lose masters touch so it’s not as appealing as a more straight forward build

yea it's called the clutch claw a new tool introduced in mhw : iceborne
Some weapons have a reticle bound to L2, you toggle to the clutch claw by pressing R3. Then you can either fire slinger ammo with R2 or clutch with circle.

So a common complaint I gave world before iceborne was the lack of color in the game. Monsters also looked a bit more bland but iceborne and its subspecies just went above and beyond. Never have I seen such colorful and well designed models for silver and gold raths and this brute tigrex just stands out so well from its original coloration of basically just being a gray tigrex.
So the weakspot is not head, but legs now ?
With the new clutch claw weaken attack any point can be the weak point, and his arms are MUCH easier to hit then his head
Kinda hard to hit the head when he raises it high and roars every few seconds.

Capture a brute tigrex. Rotted region in guiding lands spawns brute at level 6 and 7, but you only unlock arena quests by capturing monsters.
In fact i think you can catch it in someone else's arena quest to unlock it

Time attack, afaik, basically means no traps, mantles, boosters, palico or environmental traps. Some rules may preclude clutch claw or certain clutch actions
