@@kristinekuglerhi , hope you're keeping well but just a small question, can say when is like the best time to book a cruise? When one might be a able to get a good deal 🤝
Hi !! Which kind of musicals do you dance for on the cruise :) I'd keep my toilet out of the equation in the future :) thank you for sharing though your tidy spot it is nice ... do you ever stop in the Miami area or the Cape Canaveral area of Florida?
I love behind-the-scenes stuff. We were once on holiday on a resort island in the Maldives where guests were offered a weekly tour of the staff compound hidden among the trees in the middle of the island. It was amazing to see.
I use to be mad at why they were always weighing our luggage but now I know that you guys actually live on the ship. I’m NOW thankful and more grateful for you guys.
This randomly popped up and i thought "2 mins and I am done", 14 mins later.. lol. Absolutely amazing to see the "other side" of cruise ship life. Yep - it's a small shared cabin, but you girls are crazy organised and make it work well. It's not like you are missing key things - just less clothes than you might have at home. It was lovely to see the homely touches that make it your space :)
Always wondered what crew cabins were like on cruise ships. Glad to see you have it organized so well. I had to LOL at the calendar when I saw what was written for the 11th, that was pretty funny.
I worked on Ships for 6 years as a crew member. Was so much fun & a massive part of my life. Meet so many amazing people. I only worked on RC (Indie) as a crew member but parties were wild. Not many crew bars stayed open as late as that bar.
You two seem really close and harmonious, sharing hair tools and matching comforters etc! Do you think that is more typical for dancers, or did you know each other well already? Or how do you bring up ideas like that? (I'm hoping to play in a cruise show band!)
I'm surprised you get along well enough with an Australian that she had a jar of vegemite in the snacks drawer. It isn't for everyone and has a pretty funky smell too. I live in the US and have tried it. I kinda like it because it's nowhere as strong as its British cousin marmite, LOL...
What a nice and well organized room, thanks for the tour. By the way, when you're done with working on cruise ships, you might consider a career in real estate or property development, you have the right face and temperament for it, I think.
Back in my 20s I worked on a ship. I had a room like yours, but with no shower. My roommate and I had to shower with other female staff; so it was like a dorm. I did have a porthole though! I don’t have any pictures of that time-it was before the internet and I guess I never thought to take any of my quarters. I know it wasn’t as decorated and cute as yours! This was very interesting. Thank you for the tour. Also, I am completely blind and want to say you did an amazing job of describing everything so well!
I am a grown woman whoblives in a spacious home- im not sure why i felt the need to take lessons from this. 😅 bravo! P.s. - how do you all get your favorite cosmetics/ packages sent to you?
This is such a fun watch! I love all the storage tips and tricks. I’m kind of jealous of the hair accessory drawer LOL I hope you and your roomie are having a great time living the cruise employee life!

Omg I feel claustrophobic just watching this video but you have done amazing with maximizing storage space. Is there AC? Does it get really hot and stuffy?
Nice video. My folks were Royal Caribbean fans. Their first cruise was in '80 on the Song of Norway--things were all inclusive then, and their cruise toured from Florida into and thru the Caribbean and back again. Their tour was all inclusive, and the only thing I ever had like that was the Riu Suites in Puerto Vallarta and another stay at Pacific Island Club in Guam, though the latter was a business trip. You do so well in your video, and you are so natural on camera, I suspect you may end up as a teacher in the tourism industry. Most of my career, until my daughter was born, was as an international tourism systems implementation teaching lead, and I was recruited out of the hotel industry--so unlike you and your roommate I was a landlubber though changing cities every five to twenty days, depending on the size of the resort our clients owned. I know dancing is hard enough when the floor is not moving--how in the world do u keep your balance dancing on a ship dancing thru open waves? I did not know there was an Avatar book, but I loved both movies especially the second because despite being a landlubber, I also have enjoyed the ocean and really enjoyed taking the ferry between Dover and Calais and back again in '17, almost the size of the Song of Norway, and the only large ship I've ever been on in the open ocean. Your significant other is lucky to have you in his life--you light up your space with your personality and your career, because you shared how hospitality workers live on the seven seas, and we on land in the tourism industry appreciate that, because without your ship visits, no one would come back to see the lovely islands you see in more detail.
@@kristinekugler My parents encountered some rough seas, even with the Song of Norway's stabilizers, and my Mom took the brunt of not feeling well, but my Dad knew what to do by holding her and making her feel cushioned from the motion, since he had to take ships overseas at the end of WWII and during Korea, where the Army sent him. He also often went on small fishing cruises with his friends near the Farallon Islands, off the coast of San Francisco. Funny, same night my poor Mom encountered rough seas, I was babysitting their home, and we were hit by a 5.0 magnitude earthquake, while I was watching Johnny Carson--and I felt like the floor under me dropped like Hollywood Studios "Tower of Terror", making unscheduled elevation changes for maybe only five seconds. My older brother, always the hero, rushed to my house knowing I was shaken up, one of four earthquakes I felt all the way up to the '89 World Series Earthquake. People who have been in heavy ship surf and earthquakes say the sensations of dizziness for as long as they last are quite similar, which I felt to a small extent on the English Channel in '17 and on the San Francisco Bay Ferries I often took from the Napa River to San Francisco. I never was bugged by them much, but as I said, lol, I would not have dared dance with someone as pretty as you or your roommate, because I would have fallen down on rough seas, lol, and made quite a fool of meself. I did not sleep until they came home from their cruise, and Royal Caribbean had already informed him we had a strong earthquake in Northern California, but did not worry them about damage. Only thing that fell was their bedroom lamp, and it did not break, but their bedroom and living room ceilings had cosmetic cracks that they repaired, since I was in College at the time I had no time to repair them before returning to their house in the evening.
I love a good small space organization. This is so cute, but do you ever feel claustrophobic in there.? Also idk if I could live without a window in my room.
Great tour, Kristine! Thank you! As someone that cruises a lot we really enjoy the hospitality and courtesy we get from crew. We do find that by day 7 or 8 we are looking forward to disembarking. How do you deal with feelings like that?
Thank you!! Crew life is very different from guest life in the fact that since we have so long on board, we’re able to develop daily routines like our lives on land! I think routine helps the most!

As someone who craved my own personal space during dorm life/while living with roommates….I genuinely love this room. There’s so much storage and it seems so well-loved. I really want to see what the sunset lamp looks like. Plus, I bet there’s loads of places on the ship too, if you do ever need a break from each other. (There IS loads of places….right??)

I also love sitting in the cafe and reading a book just to get out of the room for a little! Also I have the sunset lamp lit in the back of some of my videos, but we bought it on Amazon!
They're lucky to get a TV. 90% of the cruise crew room tours I've seen have no TV or a very tiny portable one (the kinds with a built in DVD player. They're not expensive, about $99-110 US).

Cool. But I've always hated having roommates. I couldn't do it. LoL 😆. Great video
It's so cosy.😊
Hey I know this question is unrelated, but I was thinking about getting that Daisy love perfume. Is it any good or not?
It’s my favorite 🥰
Okay, thank you!
I was just wondering, how do you buy on Amazon when you are always on the move?
@@Alfa_Chef You can order to the ship at your home port or somewhere nearby :)
@kristinekugler Oh thanks!
I’m jealous you got to go to Haiti 🇭🇹 my homeland and I can’t 😢. Great use of the space
Lmao girl I love your cabin! I am absolutely buying the folding drawers next contract, very good idea!! Theyre moving me to Oasis class, I will miss the larger deck 6 cabins from Odyssey 😂
It seems like the cabin comes relatively empty and you have to provide all the storage units, bedding, hangars, etc. And you wouldn't know until you got into your cabin. So you order from Amazon? How do you get the mail? I considered applying to work on a cruise ship for a hot minute. This was an interesting tour. Thanks.
Yes we’re able to order on Amazon, as well as purchase things in ports to bring back as well!
0:08 to 0:26 love how your hair is.
How does laundry work? Is it like a dorm where you do your own in a central area or do you have to send it to be done?
Yes we have our own laundry room on board :)
Wow, I lived on a 38 foot sailboat for four years but my little home wasn't near that tidy and organized. But then again I'm a guy so ya know how that is. haha, Thanks for the tour..
That is awesome! I admire anyone who lives on a sailboat, that life looks incredible. Thanks for watching!
