Bangalore Metro is a 73.7 km long Rapid Transit System with 2 operational lines. It is expected to grow in the future in addition to new commuter rail system in the city. It is the 2nd largest metro network in India following Delhi.

after moving to bengaluru from delhi and having visited bombay,i can understand how important it is for bangalore to a have good metro connection. The autos and cabs doesnt work like other indian cities plus the congestion if you got something is huge.

bengaluru metro grey line should be extended to the east from hosahali-via jagjeevanramnagar-KRmarket-domlur-vimanapura-marathali-thubarahali-whitefield south. it would benifit many people and reduce congestion in the only east-west line which is purple line.
That comes under phase 4 KR Market to Varthur via (Town Hall-Shanti Nagar-Audugodi-Neelasandra-Domluru-Yamaluru-Maratahalli-Kundanahalli-Varthur
Small correction. There is no interchange planned between blue and purple lines at Beniganahalli.

No it will run parallel between KR Puram to Beniginahalli (Tin Factory), It makes that 1km stretch very crowded

No, these are approved networks. To stop it is next to impossible because of loans and funding approved and land acquisition already in progress for most of these routes, maximum they may slow the pace of works.

BMRCL shall plan to connect orange line with blue line at Silk board instead of JP nagar and make a single circular line and run metro on a circular fashion - this will avoid interchange in several places

Metro will create a change, sure it will. But sub-urban railway system cannot compete with Namma Metro or any other Railway system. Right now, there are only Single line serving the parts of the city and another is still ij construction. But for a smoother transit, it requires atleast 4 lines like in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyd..For example, To reach Whitefield from Kengeri station, Still metro is the fastest option, though it is costlier than Railways.

Metro will stop at every station at 1 to 2 km. Where as rail commute is faster for longer distances

Almost every direction, there is some metro plan or railway line going to serve. But old madras road (kolar highway) is the most neglected route among all the routes. There is a major traffic congestion via hoskote, kr puram which serves the gateway for Majority of the Andhra cities and towns. Even more areas going to get improved between Devanahalli airport - Hoskote. Connectivity to these areas should be considered as a future plan. Just connecting at tin factory towards Whitefield doesn't make sense.
National highway recently announced flyover from mvj college to kr puram market. You can search in Google by longest elevated road in bangalore announced by national highway
