I was just behind the far post seen the ball leave norms foot and the net ripple then got mobbed by our fans, didn’t see the goal until match of the day later on in Staffordshire pub on way back to south Manchester.Superb day absolutely unforgettable
Gordon Hill's second goal against Derby in 1976 was the one shown, that made the score 2 - 0, not 1 - 0, as the commentary said. His first goal, in the first half, was far better, a curler into the top left hand corner.
Never really noticed it before, but Whiteside threw a little stepover in there against Everton. Greenwood-esque! Any earlier examples than this in the English game?
Why are they using commentators in the 70s that were about 10 at the time, just use the original ffs instead of rehashing it with modern ones. Nothing like motty screaming Whiteside in 83
Are you having a laugh hilly was better than anything we've got today that team with coppell Pearson the Greenhoff s McIlroy macari Daly were a potentially great team till Tommy docherty messed things up then sexton even more so
Gordon Hill was a joke. He often ran nowhere and tied himself up. My favourite game was when Martin Buchan grabbed and shook him for not marking someone. Martin should have stuck one on him. Some skill but not a great player.
Brilliant Brilliant Memories so many great goals there brought back a lot of happy memories superb this video..😊
I remember bouncing around the room like a lunatic when Whiteside's goal against Everton went in.

I was at that final an when whiteside ran on a fella in front of me shouted ‘this is it’ an whiteside delivered for us. The end went mental
Brilliant thanks
I was an 11-year-old, stood in Stretford End for the Robson goal against QPR. We weren't the best side back then but happy days.
i was there right behind the goal when whiteside scored
Me too...
I loved Gordon Hill
Legendary moments players
Is there a part 2?

Greenwood has got a long way to go before he can be compared with Norman Whiteside, never mind the other way round.
@@mnd1955 I know that - it was just a light-hearted remark.
@@robicenco1 Fair enough mate.
What can you say about 70s goalkeepers. They could have stuck someone from the crowd in goal.

It's probably a rights issue.
John helm commentating on the 76 semi???...I don't think so!.....what a mess....it was the second goal ,not for 1-0!
