    Kinda late with my reply, but I have the exact same 1.9L magnuson supercharger with a BTR stage 3 truck cam, and TCI 2800 stall converter and I made 573 at the rear wheels. I recommend you check the duty on your injectors and the fuel pressure at your blower. You dont seem to be getting the power out of that blower that you should. Granted I have a 5.3 in my Silverado, but that's to much of a gap in power. You're basically getting crank horsepower at the wheels and that means only a 8-15% power increase from the blower. Also, PULLEY UPGRADES!!! Seriously. But if you're pleased with your results, by all means ride out. I'm not bashing your truck or build by any means, I just think you can get much more power than you are getting from this build. One last thing, what heads are you running on the 4.8? If I remember correctly, there was 2 or 3 castings that were horribly restrictive and that is the best way of unleashing extra ponies with forced induction. Oh! And 1 7/8 long tubes! Forgot about that one. Have fun. Nice build and like I said before, just some suggestions to maybe help you get a little more power.

    • @AZProPerformance
      @AZProPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate it! In the video we do make mention up downsizing the pulley, which we did later and got more power. This was only about 5.5 pounds in it, which is light. We down-sized the pulley, more boost and re-tuned before the new owner got it. It has been doing well now.

      @@kylerickels6464 So you got a relatively big cam for a 5.3 in a truck. Point is, you have a 10% more cubes, likely bigger cam than theirs and lose less power through a 4L60e vs their 4L80e. 397whp on a parasitic supercharger with just 5.5psi is a great number. Any HP calculator would say the same and it still has a lot more to go with just a pulley change. I think people are getting a little too optimistic on hp numbers these days watching sloppy style builds with big 78+mm turbos on lots of boost.

    Most of the race trucks we build are 6.7 litre or larger stroker motors.
    There is no replacement for displacement.

    • @AZProPerformance
      @AZProPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, we are always fans of larger displacement, but we wanted to see what can be done with a 4.8 engine. Keeps the budget a little better!
      Thanks for watching.

      @@AZProPerformance the 421 Ls we are fixing to put in a chevy truck will produce right around 700 horsepower. No turbo to get that power.
      It will have a nitrous system good for 200 to 300 hp more.
      It will smoke a 4.8 with a turbo no problem.
      Of course these aren't budget builds nor anywhere near the most expensive but really powerful tough motors.

      @@AZProPerformance my buddy at the shop likes to build trucks.
      Big motors,4l80e transmissions and 14 bolt rear ends.
      The one that is getting the 421 is going to be full race mode.
      He had a Fairmont with a 408 and 400 shot of nitrous that ran the 8th in 5.2 seconds at nearly 140 mph.
      Trucks are heavy but that's what he wants to build.

    I originally felt like those HP guesses were low. I mean cam, exhaust, Cold air intake, etc should net a 4.8 north of 300 whp. I would expect more after a blower. But, I guess they didn't increase injector size or pump size and also depends on what fuel they are running.

    • @AZProPerformance
      @AZProPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but remember, we are only at 5.5 pounds of boost which is light. It will go to a smaller pulley next week, to get 9.5 pounds of boost. Injectors are bigger and have more to give when we up the boost, without changing them. Just pump gas here.
