I saw your video the day it came out & let me tell you.... Since the moment I finished watching it, I went into the shop to take care of this problem I had with a knife holder I made a few months back. I've been meaning to tell you since then lol... My dude, this tip (8:02) really came through & helped me with the knife set holder. It's a mitered walnut continuous grain on all 3 (visible) sides picture frame style knife holder. It's about 10.5" tall X 9.5" wide X 5" deep. I made 2 long blade width size slots on the top to hold the knifes. But the steak knives would just tilt out b/c of the long slot. So with this tip you mentioned, I went back to my offcuts & made (blade kerf thick) 1/8th inch thick "spacers" to keep/hold the knifes in place. This worked so perfectly. We now are able to properly use the knife block. Thank you so much for the tips & tricks!
Making something from scraps is often harder than buying a ton of wood for a new project. I buy shorts and cut offs all the time from Woodwerks (c-bus shout out) and you can get stuff with a lot of "character"! Really beautiful knife block.....I really need to make one some day.
I absolutely love this channel! The design on this one is super simple, but it's amazeballs! Thank you for sharing. Thank you for the inspiration! Looking forward to the next one.
Origami metal gear knives are fun looking. I love the thickness of the wood and combined with the hollow center. A balance between it being open and still having large presence. I’ve held myself back from buying the Benchmade steak knives but boy would they look great in your block design.
Excellent demonstration of using up scrap timber to really great effect, brilliant… 👏🏻 By the by, came here (and now sub’d!) from Steve’s TWW BookFarce Group to see how you put that block together - and very pleased I did… ✅ 👍🏻
Hey thanks. I didn’t read any books on design. I just see what I need and think how I can make something different. It doesn’t always work out. And I saw your previous message. I do plan to start selling things this year :) I’m making things right now to start taking photos and put up on Etsy. But probably won’t start selling until beginning of summer
@@BevelishCreations I like that, "see what you need and make somthing different" . haha did you 🙈 god i feel kinda naked now jk. Great to hear your planing on selling some products though! They will fly off the shelf.
Really beautiful work, Alex! It looks fantastic! 😃 I'm starting to try to learn how to cook... Perhaps I should make something like that later as well. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
The open sides are also great for being able to CLEAN the thing!

Oh wow I’m so glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for watching

Hey thanks! Yeah sometimes it’s difficult to think of projects to make with scraps 😅

Thank you!
Nice! The leftover area looks right for the addition of a 6 - 7" cleaver.
That’s exactly what I’m thinking of getting!

I just looked up their steak knives. Looks sooo good!
@@BevelishCreations I guess they’re called Table knives now. They marketed them with the blue g10 handles initially.
They look great! Going to look into these
Nice knife block! In that configuration yo should store your knives blade side up to prevent sheath dulling.
Ohhh thanks for the tip!
Love the MicroJig clamps!
They’re great!
I like this design. If I ever make a knife block I might even try it without the front or back panel. Would make a cool kinda cantilever look.
Ohhh good idea!
That is awesome. I'm definitely going to emulate this build.
Glad you liked it :)
Brilliant, can’t wait to make it
This is a awesome idea to practice woodworking skills. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks for watching :)
That is really nice little project. I really like open sides!
Me too! So glad you liked it!
Great film, always well shot and edited. Gorgeous block, matches knife angularity. Also allows airflow and ease of cleaning. Mahalo for sharing! 🙂🙏🐒
Oh yeah that’s true! Thanks!
It was a great project
Thanks!
nice work! No need to clamp the glue-up for the 4-angle final block form??
great little project! You have fantastic production values, the video looks great, well deserving of more than 68k subscribers
Thank you! Feel free to share with others so more people can check it out :D
I'm going to use this one. For sure. Maybe. Anyway I like the design and enjoyed the video.
Thanks!
Beautiful work

Thank you so much!
So cool! I'm learning Shapr3D because of you! Any chance you are able to share the plans?
Thanks! I don’t have the model anymore, unfortunately sorry :( just follow the angles I mentioned in the video, pretty quick to do
Beautiful 😁
Thank you

Your only problem will be keeping products in stock 😅
I hope so haha
I’m building one for sure
I’m happy to hear that!

Thank you! Yeah I took about 2mm per pass haha
So dope
Thanks man!
Great ❤

Nice.
Thanks :)
Enjoyed the project! What is the double sided tape that you used?
Thanks! I don’t know the brand. It was leftover from the baby bumper pads we got
Hi! Great video! I wonder what 3D app you’re using for designing?
Thanks! It’s Shapr3D
I love it!
What is the software you used to modelate?
Hi, it’s Shapr3D
大佬好久不见 台锯靠山数显尺 能不能分享一下改装方案
我记得我就是按照公司说明安装的哈哈
@@BevelishCreations 那就是说 国内买不到咯
What’s the measurements for the pieces like length and width?
The base is 18cm x 17cm. The back piece is 18cm x 22cm. Front is 25.5cm x 18cm. And the top is 14cm x 18cm
You should start making these to order.
I just might!
Bro, came here for a knife holder, now im going out with an arquitectonical art design builder degree

Haha I’ll take that as a compliment 😅
@@BevelishCreations sorry for my english, its a compliment with humor ! :D
No problem! I guessed that’s what it was 😄
Or just buy one for 1 to 3 dollar in a second hand store
Or just make one 😎
