    If you used the cutoff from the base to cover up the hole from the magnet it would have looked better

      Good call! I thought about that, but then I used the cut off to make some coasters! Thanks for watching!

    Is it possible to make a second channel about 3” down for stability of longer knives?? Or would that be too strong for said knife??

    • @GorillaJoesBBQ
      @GorillaJoesBBQ  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@robertpainter2869 I don't see any problem with adding a second channel, I'm not sure if it is needed however. With the ledge that the handle rests on plus the 1 row of magnets I haven't had any problems with knives staying stuck onto the board. Although If your knife is a lot longer where the handle doesn't rest on the ledge i could see a second row of magnets working well.

    How THICK would you say the piece of wood which holds the magnet is? And how thick is the magnet itself? Thanks

    are these the 2 for 99c magnets at HF?

    • @GorillaJoesBBQ
      @GorillaJoesBBQ  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LukasEragon I bought these from ace hardware and I don't remember the actual price but it was definitely not .99 ha. I wanna say 5-10 bucks? I don't remember, probably wouldn't need super strong magnets, it's on an angle, and also your handle sits on the ledge at the top.

      I went to my local Ace Hardware for these! But I'm sure you could find some strong ones on Amazon as well if you are looking to have them shipped! Thanks for watching!

    You dropped the ball on the magnet cover not using the off cut

      @GorillaJoesBBQ  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@justinkatipa9577 eh it's on the back, hardly ever seen. And with how thin it had to be I bet it would of been hard to cut down to size and it not break apart.
