I found an old email from 2009. I would've been 17. I'm 29 now and in that email this song was in it. Listening to this decades later. Just is so peaceful and precious. My young soul knew what good music was haha
Thats amazing. I wish i kept my emails from boarding school and the back n forth love letters i would send to my crush while listening to Jack's mannequin and just feeling those powerful fluttering butterflies of euphoria that explode inside you when you experience your first love that loves you back. Gosh ive never been able to feel that same feeling since i was 16.
I kept my old laptop hardrive from 2007-2009 as a sort of time capsule and just went into it this year and one of the best things I found was all my old MSN chat lots and old iTunes music library. Will there ever be a time to feel like that again
Show went so downhill when she left the show. Obviously Lucas also left but Lucas at that point already lost a lot of his interesting parts because at that point he was a writer and a basketball coach it wasn't a great storyline for him imo. But losing Peyton who had the best acting on that show, especially in terms of drama and totally lose such an important character they didn't really have much left to tell at that point.

This was the last year in the series before the 5 years leap, and soon the series would say goodbye to P. Sawyer. Also the year that Marissa died on The OC. So emblematic year! Now with 28 years old, it's funny to remember all this, and what was to be a teenager a decade ago near to my 20's, not to mention know how to make mixtapes! Miss those times!
"It's like I wrote every note with my own fingers..." This couldn't be more true! This song just symbolises every feeling of anger, and pain, and betrayal people can feel after a break up. It's the perfect "I miss you and I hate you because of that." There just isn't as much music of this quality left anymore... and that is a real shame.

I did too, but after a while I ran out of shit to watch on Netflix so I decided to watch seasons 7-9. It wasn't the same, and I never liked Julian (I always saw him as a wannabe Lucas) but they were at least watchable. I do think you should rewatch he series in it entirety. Lucas comes back in season 9.
My very guilty pleasure is watching these shows like OC and One Tree Hill etc... I must admit the song line-up in One Tree Hill has just AMAZED me! Finch, NOFX, Jack's Mannequin, Fall Out Boy (kind of saw that one coming)... I mean FINCH in the first episode... I love the fact that they are getting these artists out to the masses!
